That's what my wife and I did. Sold 3 7k guns and bought 3 <2k guns. Only thing I miss is the trigger of my open guns(and major scoring ).

You can buy a 40 barrel. Drops right in. Buddy has it for limited.

@motosapiens I think there were about 60 that shot on staff day at A2 and only 5 shot it with no penalties. Several with 20+.

As a MD I try to do the same. I look at it thru a GM perspective and also look at it thru my wife's perspective (C shooter). I know what she can and can't do. I want everyone to have a good time. Then try to balance it. Nobody ever says on the drive home "that was an awesome match" while having 7 no shoots, 5 Mike's, etc.

I use JB Plastic Weld. Easy to shape. Pick it up at Walmart

Factory Sig 12#, ISMI X5 12#(same length as factory), Sprinco 12#(longer than most 1911). All long springs.

Never checked the torque specs. Ran them on my open guns and CO guns. Hand tight with a drop of blue loctite. I have 5 of them. Only time I've ever had an issue with the glass was on my co guns when running a 12#. Friend bought a max and ran the 12# and cracked it within 500 rnds. Other buddy running a 14, no issues. Same with my wife's max. 12, crack. 13, good to go. Not scientific, but......

Not sure. Have prob 15k with a 13 and no issue. I've cracked about 5 3XL's using 12's.

Switching back to a 13#. First shot on the 12 cracked my glass. I have cracked quite a few sights with a 12#. I have so many new springs(Sig 12#, Wolff 13# var, ISMI 12#, ISMI 12.5) I am going to put them for sale. I usually buy 3 or 6 at a time, lol. Thanks for your help.

Yes, got them last night.

Make sure they fit the gauge. All the factory ones I've checked, do no fit without filing the bottom.

GG kit and a Keres or AC shoe. A lot shorter. The factory trigger is horrible. Such a long pull.

The ones I previously got were(ones for my open guns), my most recent were not. I am thinking they are not real ISMI. I emailed the company, we'll see what they say.
