Has anybody else seen this?
I started having intermittent FTF, round jamming hard into the feedramp. (STI Edge .40 pistol, started when pistol was about 2 years old), throating checked, extractor checked, recoil spring replaced, mag springs and followers replaced, (and new tuned mags), problem still occurred, went on for several months.
Was preparing for a match and checking the gun one day and noticed the mags had a lot of play (up/down). If I held the mag up in the base of the gun, I didn't have any FTF hand cycling.
So I tried a new mag release that locked the mag in place, that seemed to work for a while then the FTF's were back but not as often.
Borrowed a grip frame from another gun, no more failures to feed. Bought a new grip frame, haven’t seen the problem since (about 8 months now).
PS: Tried a new set of frame grip screws on the old grip, and the problem still occurred.
