That's pretty much where I'm as as well. I'm shooting 230gr LRN for eleven cents per round.
I shoot 200gr LSWC's as well from Acme, Precision, BBI, and Missouri, but probably a few more cents per round.
Without a case feeder, I'd say they would be about the same speed.
I have a couple of SDB's and a XL650, and the 650 is faster only because of the case feeder.
That's how I had it wired, and with a 1.5v battery, but it isn't counting. Tried 3v as well.
I have two emitters and neither seem to do anything...
Thank You!!
If it would be possible to share your info on how you wired this up, including the voltages used, I would greatly appreciate it!
I have the same Photointerrupter and have been on the phone with their tech service and they seem to have no idea how it would be used in place of a microswitch.
My display runs on 5-30v and the Emitter appears to want 1.5v, so it looks like two power supplies will be needed.
Thank you!
You may lose your neck tension as well as being too large to fit a chamber gauge.
If I run my cases through a Lee Bulge Buster (FCD) and then process them on my Dillon with the Dillon Dies. the case mouth with bullet will be smaller than the FCD.
The back of the case should be .424" and the mouth should be .423". The FCD usually sizes to .424".
Just use anything for the first round and put it in the dirt. No need to waste an XTP.
I neglected to mention that that is some fine shooting right there!
I've had the same on a lesser scale and was never sure if it was the first, last, or an intermediate round, as I can't see the hits when I shoot.
I've seen the "Massad theory" as well, as the first round chambers differently than the other four.
I tried some 115 Acme coated RN with 3.2gr of Clays and got 963fps at 1.135".
Tried 3.5 gr at the same length and they were all over the target.
Sig P226.
I stuck a piece of a business card (.010" thick) between the breech face and barrel on my P series Sigs and they would not drop the hammer.
I didn't have a Glock handy right now.

Edit: This one is of 1989 manufacture and I bought it as Military surplus with plenty of wear on it. I shoot it a couple of times a week since I've owned it, so it's not exactly a pristine example being tested.
