I wouldn't want to use any (significant) abrasive on the forcing cone and change the gap, or the angle between the forcing cone and the cylinder face, or round the edges on the barrel, etc. that polishing might introduce. Clean with a brush and solvent and that should be good enough. Use a high quality brush and one of the K-Y polishing compounds and finish it off with some patchouli oil.

I believe that the best method of checking loaded moonclips is dropping them in the cylinder of the revolver for which they are intended.

Sorry this didn't work out. Was really looking forward to it. I'll try not to procrastinate next year.

Before I decided fiber optic sights were not for me, I had the same situation. I drilled out the sight and replaced the offending piece. I bought about 100' of misc colored FO from a web site that popped up on a google search. Surprised by how cheap the stuf was. No idea what I did with the remaining 99.9 feet I had left. Edited to correct speling and math.

now here's a voice of reason...argued w/otis about this for awhile this afternoon, but i argue w/otis about pretty much everything, so.... well, we don't really argue about beer.... i'm definitely in, just a deadbeat and haven't sent the $$$, but the last post here sez the deadline is 8/2, so i ain't feeling so guilty. my point is, is it really dead? or does it just smell like otis?...... Would like to hear from the match directors, here, on this forum, whether or not the match been canceled.

We can fly over and stay with Steve for the weekend. We could always head south to Canada. We could stop by and see Ricky and Allison.
