  2. Yeah, I saw some of the side plate screws, but with the yoke screw and strain screw being more critical and more problematic I haven't bothered with the other two. The grip would probably hold the side plate on if *both* of the other screws fell completely out! But if you lose either the yoke or strain screw you go out of business instantly. We're just too small a market segment to capture the interest of the custom doo-dad producers I guess.
  3. I certainly have a hate-hate relationship with these dern revolver screws. The single slotted screw head has been obsolete in machinery applications for what, 30-40 years? If not eliminated entirely they should be changed to a more respectable head type at a minimum. Allen, Torx, heck, even a Phillips head would be an improvement over the multiple sizes of single slotted screws *still* used on new revolvers here in the 21st century.
  4. Well for Heaven's sake don't hit the space bar when it's time to drop a powder charge!
  5. Make your moons out of memory metal and I'll give up my funny rubber nose and great big shoes... http://mrsec.wisc.edu/Edetc/cineplex/movie...Ti/NiTiwire.mov
  6. He should work on his splits too. It should be BANGBANG, not BANG - BANG or even BANG-BANG.
  7. Bump. This coming Saturday.....
  8. Bump!! This match is this weekend and I am ready to go! I've got a room reservation at the Baymont and am carpooling up on Friday. My shoot time is about 9:15am Saturday. I'm looking forward to a GREAT match while I get some schooling from my betters.
  9. One of my friends goes for the Michael Jackson look and puts a fingerless glove on the left hand for just this reason.
  10. Look at my post for N frame pictures. Down at the end.
  11. Yeah, that's it! Light action...
  12. Here's some photos for those that are interested. These updated photos show the "Carmonized" hammer on the "A" gun and the new grips on both the "A" and "B". Right now I've got both guns worked down to about 5.5 lbs pull max. Depending on how I hold my mouth I get between just under 5 up to 5 pounds 8 ounces with my electronic trigger pull gage. (I need to come up with a better testing method)
  13. I use SDM .250" with a stock rear height sight: http://dillonprecision.com/template/p.cfm?...52&min=2&dyn=1& http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/Pro...VER+SUPER+SIGHT I think the rod diameter is .030".
  14. Dang. I'm already committed to the DoubleTap Championship in Texas.
  15. The root problem is that our society has gone too far and has been too successful in protecting these people from themselves. From warning labels that keep them from using thier blow dryers in the bathtub to interlocks in cars that keep them from shifting out of Park unless thier foot is on the brake to the multitude of rails, guards, airbags, mandatory seatbelt and carseat laws, lawnmower and chainsaw interlocks and "Warning, this bag is not a Toy" programs we have made a serious and unfortunate dent in the natural selection process that had been improving the species for untold millennia. By our well-intentioned (and misguided) efforts, we have protected those lines of genetic traits that otherwise should have been left to remove themselves from the gene pool either by accident or starvation. Since members of these groups tend to propagate profusely, thier numbers are increasing expotentially while thier ever creative ways of offing themselves motivate social engineers to come up with ever more effective ways to protect them. We have interfered with evolution and broken it. We will be replaced by a species that has no need for child-proof caps.
  16. oooooooo....that might stick in a socially awkward way.
  17. I only heard rap like that outta Mad Dog 20/20...
  18. I posted.... http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...ic=26880&st=350 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...opic=31250&st=0 I probably need to do some new ones to show off my Carmonized hammer on the "A" gun and some different grips...but I don't think that's your main interest.
  19. Hey! Those guys could win drawing their guns from a gym sock looped around their necks. It's guys like us that move the gamer merchandise!!
  20. CR Speed is the one I use and recommend. Can I get a sponsorship over here or something?
  21. Break out your wheel gun and come join in on the international competition. We'll set up and run the match designed by those sweaty men from OZ (it is Summer in Australia). See the stages at www.icore.org Contact me for more information.
  22. I signed up. I have to confess that it took me a while to find the Point Series Page (guess I'm in the slow reading group today) and while I have been distantly aware of the program, I am still at a loss regarding the major elements of the program including requirements and benefits. So I'll play this year and see what comes of it. IMHO, the program is severely lacking promotion for those of us not following it. The "What's the Point Series" moniker comes to mind.
  23. That's Professor-highspeed-Dremology. (PhD) Ken, I never had the chance to study under the Professor. What a shame. Did you? I hear his book on Dremel-Relativity is fascinating. Cutting edge stuff ( well, it fits ) I've only done some long-distance and correspondence study. Absent the labs with The Master, it can be a bit of a grind. I have Carmonized one of my hammers and am pleased with the result. But I did have to take some sub-courses in alignment, spacer technology, and drag theory to iron out some additional problems revealed by reduced spring rates, but that's another thread. I have not become accomplished in the realm of removing rubber and wood. I agree with the hammer swinger that the cut-off wheels are best for removing large chunks, but I have had some difficulty with implement loading on rubber and wood parts. There are some bits made of steel that look like drill bits at first but have a working surface up the side of the shaft. I have had some success roughing out the general shapes with these tools then doing the final contour with the drums and finish sanding by hand. Of course, what we really need is the Science Fiction version of the Anti-dremel tool. You know, the tool that puts small amounts of material back on each pass? That's why sometimes I'll have to experiment on scrap materials for a while to see what works and what results in an "OH SHIRT" condition.

  25. That would make sense. I was interested to see what the un-fluted cylinder weighed compared to the fluted Ti. This looks like a weight reduction somewhere in excess of 46% if I've done my math correctly (1-(.30/.56)). That's a bigger bang for the buck than those of us swapping out the standard fluted SS piece. He oughta tear up the track when he gets it together.
