  1. How did you kill the 2 V5s? Did C more take care of it under warranty?
  2. Thanks for the feedback. It would be great to have you post with an update once it has some used behind it.
  3. Hello all. Anybody have reports on the new C more rts2 V5 version. Supposedly brighter with more rugged electronics, shut off feature, etc. Have they been holding up? Anyone able to make a direct in use comparison to the Romeo3 XL or Max? Thanks
  4. Nm. I recognized it is for that specific ballester Molina model pistol. Doh!....
  5. Anyone have familiarity with the practical ballester-molina model? How does it compare to the regular practical model, what are the differences/benefits, what is the fitting? Thanks
  6. Thanks. I wouldn't mind altering the grip but not keen on altering the frame. Could be a decision changer for me. I'll have to look into similar options like the PT EVO to see if they fit CM frames better.
  7. Thanks. If you don't mind, does it seem to require removing enough material where if you went to put it on a newer frame after fitting there would be too much slop?
  8. Thanks for the input guys. What was the fitting procedure to your frames? My frame has a "CM"prefix serial number. I thought it was just to designate that it is a wide frame model (.910"). There seems to be some controversy that is not the case or necessarily an indication of how old the frame is and different generation of frames may require different types of fitting procedures.

    Thumb Rest

RHT rest works great on my Open pistol. Not the same positive results on my Limited pistol. Unclear as to why but I have theories...
  10. Hello open shooters. Thinking of swapping my STI DVC grip with wedge mainspring housing on my open pistol for a Cheely e2 aggressive steel. For those that have done a similar swap how does the pointability, indexing differ between the two? I'm sure the grip angle is different but is it dramatic like a 1911 vs Glock or does it mimic a CZ/Tanfoglio feel? Thanks
  11. ATI milspec. Several thousand rounds. Never a problem. Good customer support to get Xtra " Murghy law" parts to keep on hand.
  12. I know this is an older thread but would be great to see it revisited and possibly expanded upon. In an effort to get used to shooting carry Optics, moving over from Limited,I started to research the benefits of kinesthetic shooting since finding the dot on hard leans, angles and close up quickly is definitely a change. Several modern-day practitioners as well as a retired Navy SEAL friend (who has literally been there and back and definitely knows his sh***) preach the benefits of accurate handgun shooting through index (no sights) up to 10 yards and sometimes beyond. Anyone additionally care to share their experiences with index shooting?
  13. Can you describe your feed failures? What is your bullet profile? What were your loads? 115 can be kind of light in some factory loads. What I have noticed when reloading between 135 and 145 grain bullets didn't matter so much but I need it at least 3.1 grains powder to produce enough gas with these weights. This is with a medium fast powder such as Universal Clays or Sport Pistol. Anything less than that would not cycle the bolt enough. As soon as I hit 3.1 grains ejection was about 6+ feet away at a minimum due to the faster bolt cycle rate from a gas-operated firearm. This is also with the original Timney gold cased fire control unit which has a lighter hammer spring and yields on average 3.5 lbs pull. The black cased firiing control unit from Timney that came with the newer Factory MPX competition model has a heavier hammer spring, yielded 4.5 lbs and needed more powder to cycle the bolt fast enough for proper ejection.
  14. Thanks for contributing. Right now I am working with a gen 3 so I will figure out something to do with that large backstrap frame opening. The easy way is to get a Seattle Slug and then grind it flush with the end of the grip to be CO compliant. Seattle slug is 4 oz ,would probably be removing less than half an ounce at the bottom. Not sure how much more epoxy and tungsten would add into that opening beyond 3.5 oz. Also ordered a Jentra extended large-diameter tungsten guide rod. Should be more than twice that of a stainless steel. Taylor freelance brass extended base pad will add almost 5 oz. Yeah I can see me getting close to a target weight I'd be happy running in a proven platform I'm familiar with. Add the short travel, crisp DK trigger system and I think it will be competitive unit.
  15. I appreciate the input but.... + I already own several Glocks with all support equipment + The DK trigger system for the Glock is waaay better then the Legion I have felt + I have as many or more optic mount options with the Glock + Proven long term reliability, longevity If I could add 8-10oz to a Glock I would be thrilled to be 7oz or so lighter than a Legion
  16. Willing to share process of up to 14oz heavier with internal weights? Not denying it can be done. I guess I'm just not that intuitive to see how to get that much weight inside a Glock gen 3 but would love to be able to do it. Thanks.
  17. Cover the front of your optic with a piece of non transparent tape. Do some dry fire like that. Guaranteed when the dot superimposes on the target you will be having a target focus ,no question about it
  18. Thanks for the response. Are you shooting 38 super/ super comp or 9mm? If super or super comp would you mind sharing your load data? Thanks
  19. Good feedback, thanks guys. Seems like sensitivity isn't a concern, feeding in Dillon primer systems works and chronoing is consistent with the popular brands.
  20. Nice. Thanks. Still looking for an alternative though for when availability does become scarce or as a backup option.
  21. So for the .38 Super/ Super comp shooters is anyone using Shooters World Major Pistol powder as a replacement for their VV3N38? 9.2grainsVV3N38 with 124jhp does shoot nicest out of my five inch Brazos with 4 popple holes but the almost non-existent availability of this powder has led me to search for a suitable alternative. 8.5 grains of Longshot with 124jhp is the next best I could find so far. Any opinions or input is certainly welcome ,thanks.
  22. Hello. Has anyone had experiences using Fiocchi small pistol primers? Curious as to their sensitivity, cleanliness, feeding during reloading compared to Federal or CCI. Thanks
  23. I appreciate all the input. Basic consensus seems to be it might work but at the peril of a $300 optic. Hmmm, been trying to avoid it but maybe I should just ante up and get a new 5moa SRO....
