On my cz I had rounds that would not chamber all the way either. In my case I had to crimp almost to the rim then everything works perfect. My thought was when seating the bullet it slightly bulged the case under it.

Been looking for a used open pistol to start shooting open with. Reading everything I can find. Discovered, thought sometimes not recommended by some, 9mm shoots 9 major, 9x23 shoots 38 super, 38 super shoots 9 major. Sure I might even be missing something. All seams very strange and complicates the buying process.

If I chop the correct length off the slide are the barrels interchangeable?

If you liked the sp01 but are worried about the safety get the tactical version. Love mine and the triggers can be made great. Check out cgw.

I use the Hornady on 180 coated lead. Works fine.

Let me clarify, I would like a czechmate sa/da like the sp01 with a de cocker. I like not messing with a safety, first shot da doesn't bother me.

I know what you mean about loving the sp01. I have the tactical in 40 because I wanted the de cocker. I would like a de cocker czechmate. Contemplating building something comparable if possible.

May be a silly question but why load 9 to major instead of using 40.
