  1. Yes I do hold on top of the head under 7 yards. I'll sight it at 19yds. THEORETICALLY, You are all set to go ... Good luck with the practicality of it ... It worked pretty well
  2. That is the biggest drawback of it. Maybe I'll just sell it or swap 5lbs for 5lbs of another powder.
  3. Loke, I'll watch it at lunch time. I'm sure it's another good one.
  4. Thanks. from what I've been seeing, I should probably be around 7.8 with a 125g blue bullet.
  5. Anyone have any good load data? Most I seen was for 9mm and 115's in 38 super. My barrel is about 4.5" with 2, 3/16" popple holes. Looking for a major load. I just want this for another option.
  6. AA7 is a very nice powder for 38 super
  7. I normally sight in, 2" low at 15 yds, which puts me on at 25 yds. Now what I did was just zero at 15 yds. I would have to aim say at the bottom of the A zone to be on at 25 yds in theory? The reason why I'm asking is, my steel gun isn't complete and I'm trying to find a happy medium between steel and USPSA I have the PSA steel shoot Sat and Sunday is USPSA and I won't have time to mess with it Sat night. So I HAVE to do it tonight. So, I'm sighted at 15yds, where in theory should be hitting at 25 yds? Thank You in advance
  8. It will??? Now I don't want to use it. I'll use WAC
  9. I'm thinking around 6.6g of HS6 under a 125g Blue bullet. 4.5" barrell and no popple holes. Looking for approx 130-140 pf for steel and steel challenge. It's a dedicated steel gun now.
  10. Are you talking about the Ernie Hill?? If so, Contact Ernie here. Tell him I sent you. Don Stout. It may help? erniehillspeed@gmail.com
  11. For my one setup I purchased 2 earth magnets and it worked just as well as the single big magnet. The other one i have, I bought from Stoeger shop
  12. Karl McKeever from GT is great to deal with. Just picked up some from him last night.
  13. The brass is the issue for me. I love 38 super, I think it's a more versatile caliber. When I first got my super 3 yrs ago a lot of people were going to 9 open. What I'm seeing now especially at local matches, it looks like people are going back to 38 Super.
  14. I noticed if I use hand sanitizer first then use the Prince tennis grip stuff and seems to make it better.
  15. I sight mine 2" low at 15 yards. I believe that puts my right on at 25yrds
  16. More of our money going out the window through the government
  17. That's what I was thinking. But we would need to find out size etc of the spring. I guess there would be a poundage or however they're measured. I can measure the ones I have and count coils. What do they charge, 5 bucks for 2 or 4 springs. I guess its not that expensive to what we spend money on.
  18. Does anyone know where the springs can be bought in lots of 100? At say a fastener place??
  19. Why do you think it's a problem that some bullet makers use the same coating (especially when it works well)? Why would it be better that somebody else uses their "own" coating? That doesn't make sense. It makes sense to me. Have you ever compared a blue bullet to any of the other coated bullets that all use the same stuff. It is a totally different product. Looks and feels nothing like the hytek coatings BigBoy said that Blue has the best coating and seems to argue it's because "everyone else uses the same coating coming out of Australia" and says Blue uses it's own coating, but he otherwise offers no data. It's just an opinion. I've loaded thousands of both Hi-Tek coated bullets and Blues in 9mm, .40, and .38 Super. I've found that Hi-Tek is a hard, reliable, non-leading coating and that the guns smoke no more than any other bullet (except in .38, but still not too bad and not distracting during shooting). Blue seems softer, smokes about the same, has the same accuracy, and colors my hands something fierce while loading mags at matches and even more while loading ammo. All three brands are reasonably accurate. (Edited to complete post after fat-fingered send.) I was told from their sponsored shooters that they have their own coating. The other big names in the industry use the coating stuff that is from Australia, like I said above, (FROM WHAT I"M TOLD) I must assume that's where the manufacturer is. The reason why I said I think its the best is because when I see people shooting major from an open gun and there is hardly any smoke, I must assume that hardly any of the coating is being burned off. I've seen other coatings smoke like hell and stink because of powder/bullet combos. And if you would go back and read and NOT put words in my mouth, I had a question mark behind Australia. I also stated it was from what I was told and from what I've heard. From the people that I seen shooting Bayous, The black bullet and I believe the other was Missouri bullet co. These are people I shoot with, Their bullet/powder combo smoke like hell compared to the blue bullet/powder combo I use and watching other shooters in open class.
