Yes, thats true. I usually load all my CBC brass in the same session for match ammo and when one is being reloaded for practice with mix range brass, it does need a little more push on the handle than some other brands of brass:)
Thats odd to me, i reload on a Dillon 550 and with Hornady die set. I use mixed range brass for practice, and for matches, once/few fired CBC,Geco,FNB (used in Danish military) all plunk in my Dillon gauge
Could it be the Grams follower? i've had one that would sit to the "wrong" side i the tube. Took a little bending with the spring and things where better with this magazine again it was with a STI magazine.
For your Para magazines, Arredondo have a performance pack with spring, follower and +3 base pad.

I have one of those preban? Svi magazines, i've put one of the old Para +2 basepad on it, and it gives me 23 rounds of 9mm with a grams follower kit look pretty good as well ..
The slide is cut internally for the LDA trigger system - it have a trigger bar going inside parallel of the frame and some cut is made in the slide to release this. I can't tell if it will fit a regular 1911/2011 frame?
