  1. if i ever load any it'll just be for matches where someone else gets the brass...if i shot'em around home they'd probably get back into my brass stock.....D I C K
  2. Glad to hear of your results Brass Hog.....i sort a bunch of brass for resale and have been pulling the small primeredstuff out for obvious resons and i've been thinking about loading some for the matches where i don't get my brass back......i had decapped a piece of it and it looked like the primer may have been crimped in addition to be a small primer...but i haven't tried one yet...... With all the grief that winchester has been giving the shotgun shell reloaders lately you'd think they'd leave the pistol shooters alone....i'm beginning to think that they've got an engineer over there that stays up late at night tring to figure new ways to screw the reloading public with their brass and shotshell hulls....... D I C K
  3. before i found a guy not too far away that sells 200 SWC cheap....i used to use whatever 200 SWC mold i had (i think a Saeco) and used Lee tumble Lube ...had no problems at all...but you know what....now that Lee has the Factory crimp die who cares if you size'em or not....the FCdie will take of all that when it sizes the loaded shell.....DICK
  4. i've got 3 or 4 five gallon bucket fulls from an indoor range....email me to see if cost of $9 per K plus shipping is worth it.......D I C K
  5. i use minr occasionally to load some nickle brass that i don't full length size....i shoot the ammo only in a paperpuncher AR that i play with occasionally....it makes for some of the fastest 223 loading you'll ever do.....but i wouldn't use the ammo for anything else.......i've never had a failure to chamber by the way....the reason i use the nickle brass is so that i can keep up with it and not use it for anything else....D I C K
  6. Another set of 500 score indoor Glock match targets.....This guy is Ricci W. from Wilmington, NC...This was the second of three Glock sanctioned indoor Matches....Ah but alas, i came in with another 496....always a bridesmaid not the bride...Whinning again....D I C K http://www.shooterschoiceplus.com/index.htm
  7. get you some titegroup.......Dick
  8. Same here....i've been messing with Win powder since the 70's and i've never seen any thing marked AA and also have manuals going back that far and no AA powder....D I C K PS ...like i said i've got old manuals so drop me a note if you find out what he has....
  9. My Glock Mechanic warned me about cutting my recoil spring off too light....something about firing out of battery or something.....D I C K
  10. Hey Joe.....you should go to Buccaneers NRA action pistol match....a couple of us are shooting wheelguns...those 25 yard steel plates will definitely improve your IPSC scores.......We've now got a moving target...you just have to promise not to shoot the cables in two.......35 yard Barricade shots....what a hoot.......Ray C.
  11. if you're in eastern NC or close by come on over to shoot our match sometime....we shoot lthe plates, mover and barricade..... www.buccaneergunclub.org we have a 250 member gun club and normally don't have more than 10 shooters....DICK
  12. i can't comment on who made the brass but i've shot brass with 3 D on it and it worked fine.......i'd pop a few of the primers before i loaded it just to make sure that they are OK or if you're not sure about the primers just knock them out when you're loading the brass and put new ones in....but i'd probably shoot'em as is....Dick
  13. http://www.shooterschoiceplus.com/glock_gssf.htm We shot the first of three indoor Glock matches over the weekend......The Winner was Jon Mix......Your ole pal Dickwholliday came in third.....me and a buddy had 496's but them darn "X's" cost me second place.... if you haven't shot one of these matches you should..... DICK
  14. He looks like the man to me also...thanks....Dick
  15. years ago i had JP enterprizes cut a comp into the stock barrel of my 586-- 357 but i guess they are so busy with AR's and 3gun stuff that they don't have time to answer my emails....anybody know anyone who can EDM or somehow cut a comp into the bull barrel of my mod 28 Steel gun...thanks...Dick
  16. here's Lin's email address.....by way, he is a Glock Mechanic....the limited gun i tried was a Glock.......mines in the mail to him as of today....after feeling the trigger on one of his over the weekend, i couldn't get it to him fast enough....Dick glockmechanic@earthlink.net
  17. i felt one of his Limited gun trigger jobs at the Anthill Range 3gun over the weekend...he's in NC over near Fayetteville somewhere......anybody got a phone # or email address????? thanks...Dick
  18. You sure picked the right guy to work on your pistol.......he made by Para 40 into my favorite, most accurate. match winnest pistol i own....He is Da man....Dick
  19. my old rifle doesn't seen to care what powder i put in it...it will function reliably with all of them....mines an old Winchester that came back from the rice paddies...the only thing that it just will not shoot is lead....my rifling is not very good and i guess the lead just won't spin....as far as powder goes..i consider the rifle a fun plinker and the cheaper i can get it to go bang the better i like it......i use the cheapest powder i can get my hands on.....2400, 4227, H108, H110, ww296......Seems like powder valley had some H108 for real cheap a while back...and Pat's reloading always has cheap surplus bullets and pull down powder....in case you're just starting loading these things. i'll give you some advice that i learned the hard way.....measure the oal of the cases after you size them......if you let them get too long, you'll be ripping the heads off the cases and breaking extractors.......and don't crimp them any at all....just get the flare out.....good shoot'n....D I C K
  20. I don't load them "on purpose" but if one gets by you....the Lee FCD will cure them and you'll never know you shot it because Mr Lee fixed'em....D I C K
  21. chain saw file has worked numerous times for me.....D I C K
  22. Here ya go.....Straight from Dick's Chrono..... 4.4WSL 180 gr Valiant Truncated cone LOA 1.180 ....5" Para AVG for 15 shots was 919FPS Same load at 1.175 928 AVG for 8 shots Good shoot'n....Dick
  23. i can put you on some good hard inexpensive bullets if you're in the Southeastern US...D I C K
  24. i've got a Berquist which looks sort of like Mic but costs more......my first port wall is eroded pretty bad but is still basically there.....mine can't have more than a few thousand rounds through it....give or take a few thousand....sorry i can't be more precise....D I C K
