  1. Sounds like a good setup! I have a couple BT Revolution holsters and mag pouches for different guns. They work great and hold up well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. I have VZ Tactical Diamonds on my SP-01. I would prefer something a little moe aggressive but they are better than the originals rubber grips. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. SRS-2 includes 61050 Perfection FP, 61100 FP retaining pin, 11.5# & 13# HS Tuner-Pac recoil spring kit Kit3 Hammer 1485/T2 CGW disconnecter E-Z/D sight set 85C Trigger TR-PIN Shadow Extended Mag Release Polished all the critical parts. That is really how to get the light pull. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks guys! All good advice. I didn't really consider the 550 as so many recommend the 650. Time is always a consideration and either would reduce my hand loading time by more than half. Doesn't that mean I can load more and shoot more! next step will be to check out some friends setups and decide what will be best for me. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. I searched for this topic but didn't find anything exact. I've been loading 9mm and a little .223 on a Lee Classic Turret Press for about 9 months now and have loaded 6-7,000 rnds. I need about 1,000 rnds a month to keep up with my matches and practice. I can't justify in my mind why I should invest $1,200 on a Dillon 650 with the bells and whistles. Sure it will cut down my time loading but is it worth the investment. Seems like the break even on the Dillon is in the 8-10,000 rnd range so it would be almost a year to start seeing a return on the investment. Anyone have any thoughts?
  6. I've started using X-Treme 124 RN HPCB with 3.8gr Titegroup with pretty good success out of a CZ SP-01. I also used the same bullet with 5.1gr of IMR 4756 and it work pretty well. 4756 is a little bulky for 9mm but right now you load what you can find!
  7. I used CGW to upgrade my SP-01. If you are mechanically inclined, it is not that difficult. There is a lot of good info on this forum and Brian Enos. David at CGW is great help if you have questions. I replaced just about everything I could and it feels as good as most of my buddy's Shadows. I used all production legal parts and ended up with a 5.0lb DA, 2.5lb SA smooth and consistent. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. I use the same setup as Quack but have tried Ghost mag pouches for 3 Gun. I really like them but not sure they will IDPA legal. They will be fine for USPSA Production. You can get them from Shooters Connection or Ben Stoeger Pro Shop. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  10. When you load and make ready the hammer will be cocked. There is no decocker so you have to manually lower the hammer because the hammer needs to be in the down position for the start. You hold the hammer and pull the trigger (while pointing down range of course) than gently put I the closed position. It is not hard but takes some getting used to. If your Shadow has a decent trigger job, the DA pull is not far off a standard striker fired gun pull weight but silky smooth. It won't take you long to get used to it. I went from a Glock 17 to a SP-01 (not a Shadow) with a complete upgrade from CGW that I did myself. I don't even pay much attention to the DA anymore.
  11. +1 trgt. That is a very informative thread. Also a few good YouTube videos available. I just tuned a new SP-01 a couple of months ago with no prior CZ experience. It's not difficult but there are a few tricks you need to know.
  12. I run the identical setup and load one mag with 11 and keep it in my back pocket for the Make Ready command.
  13. Most of the spectators at our matches are people there to watch a friend or checking out the competition because they are interested in trying it out. I did that with a a few matches before I started shooting.
  14. Very nice! Make sure you give us a report back on how it performs. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Saw that on USPSA's Facebook page. Great pub for the sport. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Installed one last night and took it to the range today. Very nice trigger, quick reset. Will run it in a match this weekend and see if it makes much of a difference. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Thanks guys. That is good information. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. They are too fat. I only made 20 so not a big deal. I'll try to shorten them as you suggested and see where that takes me. Thanks for the imput! ILYK Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. I purchased some BBI 9mm 115 RN bullets to try in my hand loads. My first loads were loaded to .145 length but they will not chamber? Same load with copper plated at the same length chamber fine. What am I missing?
  20. I shoot a G17 in production and a G35 in limited. I think the longer sight radius on the 34/35 helps with accuracy. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. I just put VZ thin Tactical Diamonds on my SP-01. Used them in one match so far and like them a lot. I have small hands so thin is important. They fit great and have a enough texture without hurting your hands.. They don't look as cool as some but I want performance first looks second. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. +1 this is a great setup! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. I'm 54 soon to be "Double Nickels". Bought my first pistol in Jan 2013. Shot my first IDPA match in Oct 2013 and first USPSA match in Dec 2013. Currently Sharpshooter and C class respectively. Should move to B by end of summer. I've seen the most improvement when I started dry fire practice and live fire with a purpose. Using Ben Stoeger's books for drills and guidance. I've shot one Class 2 match and actually shot with Ben Stoeger in my squad. I learned a lot watching him analyze and prep a stage. Shooting, like anything else in life, you will get out of it what you are willing to put into it. Keep your body in shape and age won't matter, much! Most of all have fun and laugh often! 24. I don't Lock-Tite mine but probably should. Almost lost a couple of screw during a match because I forgot to check them beforehand. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. I have Gen 4's because I have small hands and the grip without the back strap fits my hand. I have a 17 and 35 I shoot regularly and have had zero problems. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
