  1. I run my clean emty brass thru the buster. Then load. I FCD with the bottom ring knocked out. Mild crimp never over 1/2 turn in after contact. Usually 3/8. Ck the 400 bullets you have with your barrel in hand. Odds are if they are sized and crimped proper they will headspace ok. Might be worth a try before hammering 400 rounds! 2. What I look for is a "smile". If it looks blistered in a bottom part of the 40 case I toss it. If it looks a little swelled at the bottom it gets the bulge buster. With that said I bust all of my 40 rounds clean and empty then load. No problems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Why push for 9major? Why not step up to 40 or 45 major? They make it easy. Just wondering. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Before you decide on an oal get the barrel out of the gun an head space it in hand. Then you will have no regrets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Just curious what was total cost? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Must be here. I got it. Big load of different stuff came in yesterday and the man called. I claimed it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I just load them. When I hit a hard one guess what... Must be military crimp. Don't over think it. No biggie. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. PP 4.5 gn behind a 125 coated shoots accurate. I load them short. 1.080 in a LWD barrel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I set it and forget it. But I'm on a lee turret. When I change caliber I just change turrets. Like ronco says...set it and forget it. I like lee. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I use them for pistol and rifle. No complains. Set them up as they advise and you will not have a problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. If the case is sized and belled properly you need very little crimp from my experience. I did crimp too hard when I started and learned that a hard crimp on a plated bullet is not my friend an not needed if everything else is set correctly. I save a hard crimp for my jacketed stuff Just me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I have no complaints with lee dies. All I use. No problems. Just me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I load 4.5 PP @1.080 in a LWD barrel. Shoots accurate thru my 23. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I have to load sns 125 @1.080 in a LWD barrel. Shoot great with a mild load of power pistol. Minimum oal for a 125 in my book is 1.050. They feed fine thru the mags so I let them fly. They do very well at 25 yds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I check my headspace with barrel in hand rather than a cker. Just me. Try pulling a few bullets and watch for a a ring. If you have one you have too much crimp for a plated. I get by if there's a faint mark or if there's not any at all. Less is better with plated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I shoot 165 Powerbond hollow point. Running 1050-1090 @1.25. Love them. I shot 180 and 200 for a thousand rounds each. I settled on the 165 for major. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. 800x runs great for me. Anything over 7.0-7.2 behind a 200 plated and I get unburned powder in the barrel. Loading a FP @1.20. Making 840-870 FPS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Mine loaded long would not go into battery. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I shoot coated thru my lone wolf. No problems after I got the oal right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I have done It. But before I even start now I run all of my clean empty brass thru the buster. It does not take long to run thru 500-1000. Then I start loading. I have two FCD. One for busting and one on the turret with the bottom size ring knocked out for crimping only. Your dependability and consistency across the board will improve hands down. Just my experience and the best way I have found to load 40. . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Try dropping ten charges and weigh each first to see what you are dropping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I had to shorten my coated 125s down to 1.070-1.080 before the would head space in my LWD 9-40 barrel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. My data for a 125 lead bullet starts at 4.3 up to 4.8 max auto comp @1.125. Lee Book. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. You better b careful dropping charges under 4 GN of 700x. Squib. I load it in 357. If you are trying for 38 an 9 ESP b aware that in a lee pro auto disc you gonna get some drops ranging from 1.2-3.5. Just saying because I know. Better be banging on the drop a bunch while loading under 4gn. Real pain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
