  1. I might have missed something but I load my glock barrel at 1.125 in 40. Just me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. PM me your number and address and I'll bring my wife of thirty yrs, introduce the girls and we will have plenty of reloading time. I can always use extra advice in one form or another. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. 1.90 is short for me in a glock barrel. After a good cleaning I would ck it in the barrel to see if it headspaces ok. If this is range pickup consider bulge busting before you start loading. Jmo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I like longshot an autocomp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I target practice with 5.7 longshot loaded to 1.125 reliably. 6.2-6.4 gets me major at same oal. Glock 23. I really like longshot. That's 180 plated berry bullets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. This a great forum if ppl luck up on it for loading advice. I was mentored in the early 80s by my grand father. H took me out to the shop, showed me how to load five or so. Watched me load five or so then he went back in the house. Lost count of how many I loaded that nite but it was quite a few. I am mentoring two ppl now. But I have spent more time with them in this process. I love teaching. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Checking the headspace with the barrel is the best advice I've seen although there are lots of good posts here. I'd try the drop in the barrel then knock .010-.020 of that making sure you don't go under min oal. My 115 factory ammo came in around 1.162. Bought some sns125 poly coated bullets and a lwd 40-9 barrel and had to shorten it down to 1.080 b4 it loosened up in the chamber. Each barrel is different. Accuracy is nicer for me when I ck oal to each particular barrel. I chrono too to Mae sure the FPS is ballpark but cycling and accuracy along with no pressure signs take precedence over every thing else. Just my experience. Good luck and btw don't over crimp. 8. Went to the site. If those prices include shipping not bad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. You are so right. It's my sons pocket pistol. Very reliable and he shoots it well. Has a long stiff trigger pull ya have to get used to. Lots of ppl hate it for the long pull. Happy shooting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Interesting concept. Not sure what your goal is, but accuracy would seem to be a combination of the gun capability and the shooter capability. What would be your guess as to the percentage of shooters who are good enough to even challenge the accuracy of the gun? My guess is maybe 0.1% or less. There is no path to replacing skill with mechanical revisions. In my experience the closest you can come to doing that is a high quality red dot sight. If you insist on short cutting learning to shoot, I would suggest a red dot not a barrel change. Ain't no free lunch out there. Try shooting an LC9 for 6 months with 25 yard accuracy free handed. The glock will shoot like a dream when you pick it up and blow thru 100 rounds. That's how my son done it. He's a stickler too. Harder on himself than anybody else. Happy shooting and good luck! 11. Guess my question is why don't they ream them all b4 shipping so they are closer to other chamber sizes. Reckon they meant to load shorter for a hotter velocity to make mpf while keeping the bullet close to the lands for better accuracy? Just wondering. Thanks for the reaming advice. 12. Reason I use power bond from tjconvera is no malfunctions. I have shot lead, plated, jacketed, and coated from ppl all over. I found my place to buy from. After thousands of rounds of load work I am happy with accuracy and cycling. That's just my own personal experience. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Tj conevera had a price drop. On some stuff. Just saying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Got me a lone wolf 9 to drop in my 23. 124 grain coated sns casting LRN Would not headspace until the bullet seated to 1.080. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I like busting empty then loading. Best way I've found for accuracy and cycling. Jmo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I like a +p load on 357 then work up on the. Chrono for 357. Try 125 GN if ya can. Much nicer on the palm. Best wishes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I don't mind adjusting my dies. Once set I run 500- 1000 rounds. Just enough to get me thru a month or two. Just me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Longshot seems to be some awesome go to power (powder) for me. Shoots great in 40. Gonna run it thru 45 cal and see if it is as good or better than other stuff in stock best wishes. Will ck back in later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. They have 4# kegs for sale locally of PP FOR $110 a pop. #2 is not as dirty as unique. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thank you. My coated 124 with 3.5 of accurate #2. @1.080 is starting to flatten the primer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. whats your oal sir? Best wishesSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. You should consider buying a lee loading book. I own more than one loading book. I suggest going to the alliant site. Look up power pistol recipes. Knock 10% off and work up a couple tenths at a time watching velocity if you have access to a chrono and also watching for over pressure signs. Lee gives coal for rn bullets and prob for power pistol powder. Choose a jacketed rn bullet of the right weight and start at the bottom. Best wishes. http://www.alliantpowder.com/reloaders/powderlist.aspx?type=1&powderid=8&cartridge=23 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Good write up Todd. I barely feel the crimp die too. I adjust between 1/4-1/2 at the most. I have seen visible marks on pulled bullets when crimping hard and its around the mouth of the case on the bullet. I like enough to barely feel it. I don't have the swaged down diameter others experience from improper adjustment and negligent use/abuse. Just me. Best wishes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. In this context why buy an extra die. Just knock the acp ring out out of the bottom and get on with it. Best wishes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
