  1. Stock up on HP-38 while it's available. Right now I am seeing it everywhere. I use WSF for 147 gr but just started loading 231/HP-38 for Prec Delta 124 JHP and love it.
  2. BTW, didn't mean this as criticism, only suggestion.
  3. Too many people use SNS to have them fall into "other".
  4. Go slowwww! Titegroup in not a very forgiving powder. If it were me, I'd put the Titegroup aside for now and pick something with a slower burn rate like Hp-38 or even WSF both of which are readily available right now.
  5. That's the bullet i want to start with. Also will be using WST but in a G23. What OAL are you using?
  6. ^^^This. Just ordered 10,000 WSPs from Cabelas on sale + $20 HazMat and free shipping.
  7. Got me interested in trying some 135s. Got plenty of the 147s loaded to fall back on. Hate to think I'm missing something. Seems like 4.2gr WSF might be a good place to start. Just visited the SNS web sight and read the 135s(red) have a new profile to allow for longer OAL. Caught my eye.

    SNS Data

Stock barrels. Tried the SNS 125 RN and couldn't go further than 1.09" in the SP01. Again, it was just a plunk and spin test with dummy rounds. Depends on the profile/ogive of the bullet. You can get a 100 round sample pack from SNS for 9 bucks.

    SNS Data

I can load the 147 FP NLG out to 1.16(plunk/spin) in both the SP01 and P07 but don't need to. YMMV.

    SNS Data

SNS 147gr FP Coated NLG 3.8gr WSF 1.135 - 1.14 Federal primer 908 fps 15 shot avg Chrono using VP9. Have not chronoed with my SP01 or P07 but sure works great.
  11. Seems like a good combo. Hoping CGW gets a P01 Omega in the next few months so I can do something similar. Really liking my P07 but thinking the P01 would be even better.
  12. Personally have never tried the 135gr. Not a lot of load data out there but a lot of guys love them. I started with 147s because that's the weight of my carry round. Once I found the load that has worked so well, just stuck with it. Try both. WSF works great with 147s(1st recommended to me by Bayou) and pretty sure someone here has some data for the 135s. I like the NLG style which is one reason I ended up settling on the SNS brand. I've accumulated a good supply of powder, including Titegroup although I have yet to try it for any load. WSF works to well with the 147s for me to tinker any further.
  13. I love CZs. Have a SP01 tricked out by CZ Custom and most recently a Gen 2 P07 which I carry. I never warmed up to the PCR. Shot great but the LCI and funky rear sight cut in the slide bothered me so I gave it to my son. My daughter-in-law now carries it and loves it.
  14. Good to know. Will be needing more 147 FP soon and eager to get the new red. When I bought my first press a few years ago, I started with Xtreme 147s. Went through quite a few and I still believe they are a great copper plated bullet. For me, the HiTek coated lead was more accurate and the SNS FP does everything I want it to do. I've experimented with different weights and profiles but keep coming back to this one. YMMV of course but I doubt it.
  15. Understand SNS is switching color from "Old Gold" to "Brick Red" which is suppose to be slicker and glossier. Looking forward to using the 147s after the switch.
  16. SNS 147 FP NLG Coated is all I use now in 9mm. 1.135 - 1.14 over 3.8gr WSF runs really well in all of my 9s, especially my CZs in the 900 fps neighborhood. Accuracy and function are very consistent. Great load IMO.
  17. SNS is the best NLG coated bullet I have used.
  18. I can load these out to 1.16" and "plunk and spin" in my CZ SP01 and P07. Don't know why anyone would want to load them that long though. 1.13 - 1.14 works great. Very accurate and clean over WSF. http://www.snscasting.com/new-9mm-147-grain-flat-point-coated-1000ct/
  19. Going to try this. With powder showing up, able to find WST locally. Been shooting 4.6gr 700X for a while. Very accurate. Love the SNS coated NLG bullets.
  20. AA7 might work better with a heavier bullet. Works well with a 147 but maybe a little slow burning with the 124 with the low charge weight.
  21. Thanks for the suggestion but since I'm sponsored by this particular bullet company and it's their only 147 projectile I will be sticking with it and like I said it runs great at 1.200" and it's a very accurate load so I'm really just trying to see if there's anyone out there in BE land that has some experience loading 9mm 147s out to extra long OAL's and what powders they have had good results with. I have seen a few guys mention it in the past in other threads (usually 9mm 1911/2011 threads) that they were loading out this long so thought I would ask. Ahh. Understand. Good luck.
  22. Not all 147 FPs have the same ogive/profile. Try a bullet that others have had better success with.
  23. 3.8gr WSF under a SNS 147 coated grooveless flat point(.356) at 1.16 OAL feeds well from my STI Eagle and Chronos in the 890 range. Have never had a issue. It's my go-to load for all on my 9s. Excellent bullet btw if you haven't tried it. That's a long OAL for a FN bullet. Even 1.16 is considered a little long by some for a FN bullet.

    powder

WSF is a great powder for 147s. It's my go-to and I have 231, TG, Unique, Power Pistol. WSF does everything I need it to do.
