I think the point is that some people just take to damn long to ready the gun and get to work. And to this I would have to agree. More times than not, I just insert the mag, rack the slide and holster. Some people take longer at LAMR than shooting the stage!
Editted to add that the time for a "walkthrough" and visualization is before the "Load and Make Ready" command. I see alot of people that misunderstand that.
If I recall they didn't test, compare or mention the Ribas. I wondered whether they weren't aware of them, couldn't get one or left them out for some other reason.
Yeah- just the Limcat, Safariland, CR, Ghost and Arredondo.
I was in the market for a new race holster and my money went back to a CR-Speed after considering the other brands. I bought one used off here. You can find them for around $100 most of the time used on here. I have two or three of them now and like them alot. Just can't seem to spend 3x more on a race holster. Even though I have spent much more on other things as Gman has mentioned. But that $200 saved went to more stuff, so I still feel I am further ahead than if I was to have spent it on a Guga....There was also a write up in Front Sight recently that persuaded me to stick with the CR.
Did you get the 47NX? You won't be sorry.
Not quite sure I could say that. I actually prefer the #47 .45 mags as mentioned above. And they are about $10 per mag cheaper. I know I wouldn't buy any more #47NX mags...
Edited to add that mine were getting nose down jams at pretty much every OAL from 1.135-1.230" until I widened the feed lips. They are running better now but still nosedive sometime at the LAMR...
I would not suggest a Spartan, I was not pleased with mine. It was accurate, but had to send it back to STI for some repairs and to refit the slide stop.
I would say SSTK, less rounds and small magwell. One mistake or bad shot and you have a big time penalty. Not to mention you really need some creative stage planning.
