I load on 2 hornady lnl's. Anyone have suggestions on what shell plate to use for 38 super comp? Not interested in any blue for life comments so please keep them to yourselves

Why would you not take aim instead of hip firing the gun? I'd have DQ'd both shooters as well... First one definitely reloading and should have been stopped. I put a round into the ground 2 weeks ago on a draw. I DQ'd myself, cleared and holstered before my squad knew what happened. We have rules for a reason and no one is immune to accidents.

I added the Dawson guide rod to mine and have been shooting major 9 out of it with no ill effects as of yet. I'm using a 10lb Wolff spring. Probably going 9. Gun runs like a dream on minor ammo with a 7lb Spring.

I have 3 friends all shooting my load which I got from another friend. All guns run great. Ibejiheads 180FP @ 1.160 with 4.3 titegroup. Chrono came in at 170pf My edge just ran 1.130 ammo that was loaded for a Glock 35 last week when I lent it to a friend to feed him the 2011 fever. No issues. Same heads and similar load data Still waiting on my DVC open in 9 major... Got my steel master last month. I shoot 2 guns with extreme shooters grips. Same as dvc... No issues to report.

I just moved to the 2011/1911 platforms this past season... I came from a Glock 35... I added a *thumb rest [generic]* slide stop and my thumbs ride the safety and the pedal... Keep shooting this way and you'll get used to it... I did have to chop the grip safety on my 2011's, but I grip my 1911's just fine to engage the grip safety.

Dawson rod is the only one to get. Dawson ice magwell. STI mag release button on a Dawson posi lock release. I shoot my edge with a 16 lb spring and the stock main spring. My style of shooting has always had me with a heavy spring Mbx mags and double alpha holster stuff.

I'm trying to balance everyone to happy and shoot as much as I can without affecting my family life too much. 2 matches last weekend = no shooting and family time at home for Halloween.

Shooters connection, speed shooters international, or direct from MBX. I swapped the spring and followers for grams and they seem much better. I still have to test them

What gun? Is it a 5 inch recoil system? I just bought the Dawson took less guide rod to put normal springs in my new STI steel master. Added the aluma buffer too. Easy peezy

Im looking for a minor load that runs the steel master reliably... The gun is brand new and failed on my normal minor PF ammo

Used 2 of my mbx mags today testing my new steel master. Both had issues feeding the last round in the mag. STI mag that came with the gun was flawless. Mag seemed to push the last round up and it wouldn't feed.

It's not ideal, but he could shoot open minor with factory ammo. The STI steel master is a 9 minor open gun that's made to run on factory Win white box. If you're looking to go major in 9, 38 super, or 38 super comp, you'll definitely need to reload first. There's also always carry optics.
