  1. I have been using FMJ's in revo. I shot some Bayou bullets last weekend and they seemed to work well with smoke not noticeable. They are a lot cheaper than the FMJ's and I will be doing more work with them.
  2. I am making minor out of my 4" 686 using vv320 @ 125gr MG bullet. this is using max load @+P. Load hovers around 130pf+-
  3. We lost my father last week also so my thoughts are with you and your family. They are in a much better place now Again Condolences to your Family Dan C
  4. I DQ'ed my wife a couple of years ago when she first started. She took it better than I did. She understood and accepted it. Tell her to learn from it and move on! And keep shooting!!!!!!! Dan C
  5. Elaine and I will be coming tomorrow. Elaine will be making her USPSA REVO debut. Can you add 2 more to the revo squad? see you in tha am Dan C
  6. I use dillon lube which is kind of sticky. Spray some silicone on an old towel and roll them/ tumble them in the towel. Seems to work well for us.
  7. I guess a TSA lock and a ziptie are about equal in security. Guess we will use the POC tsa locks or a zippy and lock!
  8. I shortened them up by 30/1000" and added a factory crimp die. Some round would not fall in and out of the case gauge so the factory crimp die took care of that Dan C
  9. We just had this happen with my wife's STI. We changed from MG 180 JHP to MG 180 CMJ's. Ammo would not feed reliably. Had to shorten up the OAL and re-chrono the load. All is good now. The profile of the bullet was different and that does make a difference! Both she and her gun are happy again!
  10. Great product that Moonclip Holder! Great service also!!!!! If you shoot REVO you should check his stuff out

  15. are the .312" standard hieght to replace the factory rear?
  16. what are the most needed spare parts one should have at a major match aside from a spare gun. I am thinking I should have some parts that can be replaced in the field for a 625. Are there internal parts that could be replaced in the field? Any suggestions? Thanks Danva
  17. 1- USPSA & Icore& a little IDPA 2. 3-4 times a month during season 3. 1-2 level III a year 4. no nats yet 5. sure would try NRA action etc 6. I like the round gun & I like the added challenge 7. I shot the REVO all last year and plan to shoot it this year also
  18. Mr Tate might make a great person to have at sign up or helping on deck shooters get ready!!
  19. I have been using the surefires with muffs. Put them in and leave them in. They are kind of confortable. Surefires provide some protection when not shooting-- noise from other bays etc-- but you need something over them when the shooting is going on
  20. Your gun maybe DA set up with a "bumper" on the adjustment screw on the trigger. My PPC gun was built by Sandy Garrett of NVGW and was set up so when you pulled the trigger back it would stop when the rubber tip hit the triggergaurd behind the trigger. A little more pressure on the trigger would break the shot - kind of like a set trigger. I adjusted the screw so it did not function and used the double action. An interesting feature on PPC guns. Dan C
  21. Congats to your wife on her first match and to you for gaining a shooting buddy. My wife shoots and I think she's the best! I am the mechanic, cleaner and ammo-loader. I am NOT the instructor. You both have great times ahead of you. Shooters are a great group and will get alot of support. NOW GO CLEAN HER GUN!!!!!! Dan C
  22. Call EGW to change it out for a new one. The U dies I have are pretty smooth and work fine
  23. I had a SS with a bastard front sight cut also. Mike Caylor at Caylor Custom was able to find and fit a F O front on it that looks great!
  24. while I don't use a 650 I use a 550 to load 45 for revo. I have had good luck using Federal primers and checking cases to make sure the primer is seated just below the head of the case. Most of the time I can feel it with my finger or hold it on the corner of the charge bar to check for light. Dan C
