  1. It would be nice if all matches used the same set of rules. What ever rules they use but, thats not the way it is. My 2 cents, And thats all I got to say about that. OK, lets shoot. Ronnie
  2. Finaly an outdoor range where I can shoot USPSA matches locally. 3rd Sunday starting in Aug. I may even try the IDPA matches on the 1st Saturday. I've never shot IDPA before. Shoot, I don't care, I just want to shoot something LOCAL. East Alabama Gun Club Ronnie
  3. Congats Now it's time to "Kick the Tires and Light the Fires". Ronnie
  4. OK, it's the 17th and still no card. Come on Roger, give it back. Ronnie
  5. Good deal Some times it's the little things that make a big difference. Ronnie
  6. Amateurs You just thought you knew what you were doing. Didn't you? I've been in B Open for 6 years, so if you want to know how to Sandbagg, just give me a call at 1 800 SANDBAGGER. Great job man, keep it up. Ronnie
  7. Is it Maineshootah or Mainespain. It sounds like you've been Sandbagging too. Great job Mainesandbagger. I hope to see you on the range one day. (Maybe Area 6) Ronnie
  8. Dry firing?? What is that?? I told you I had a lot to learn. Ronnie
  9. Thanks guys I haven't been shooting anywhere. The only shooting I've done since the Area 6 is 1 3-gun, 2 Opossums and 1 Armadillo. It has taken this long for the Area 6 to show up on my classification. I happened to look at my classification sheet last night and found a nice surprise. Sandbagging???? I didn't think anyone could tell. I had to go to A class, because know other B Open shooters would show up for the matches. Even 3-Gun only had two or three to show up. Ronnie
  10. Thanks Still Praying for those A's? Ronnie
  11. I finally did it. A class Open. OH NO, now I have to practice and learn how to shoot to win . I'm really glad I made it, I've been losing interest lately. Maybe this will help. BTW, who's got my A card. I haven't seen it yet. Ronnie PS Look out Masters, here I come.
  12. Anytime Grasshopper. OK. So my cup will be half full too. Thanks Ronnie
  13. FWIW, I agree. If more than 5% of the shooters can't hit the targets, then your looking for problems or a lot of complaints. I would bet that only about 10% of the shooters have a place to shoot at 600 yards. That being said, anyone know where I can shoot at 600 yards here around Ft, Benning? I need to (no would like to) try it. 600 yards sounds fun to me but, I dont think it's very practical for this kind of match. Oh well, it's Ft. Benning. It's still going to be a blast. Ronnie
  14. How about Ga State pistol, the Ga State 3 Gun the next weekend, then Area 6 3 Gun the weekend after that? Then top it off with Ft. Benning. Now that's shooting. My cup would runneth over. Ronnie This realy stinks, NO GA STATE 3 GUN?
  15. Mine went through the frist time at 6:30:00 (I hope). Now the wait. :popcorn1: :popcorn1: I feel like I'm waiting to find out if it's a Boy or a Girl. Ronnie
  16. FWIW, I like trophy only matches, but I'll shoot either one. I've never been to this range, I'll have to try to make the trip before the Ga State. Ronnie
  17. The best I can tell is it looks like high 70's and chance of rain. Ronnie
  18. FWIW, it sounds to me like the first thing to do is shoot what you have. Don't worry about how well you're doing now. Just learn how to play the game. You'll know when the gun is holding you back. Shooting Production is a great way to do this (learn the game). Joker22 made some good points about this. If you have to buy something I would say the G-34. It's 9mm, cheaper to shoot = more practice and with a few things like new sights, grip tape and a lighter recoil spring you're on your way to GM for less then a grand. This includes the dies for your new 550. If someone said they have $5000 to spend on this sport this year. I would say $1000 for the gear (G-34) and $4000 for amo and every match you can shoot. That would get you farther in this sport than the other way around. Before you're done with this sport you will have bought at least 4 or 5 guns. So for now just ask other shooters to let you shoot their guns (to find what you like) and pay more attention to what you learn and less attention to the match scores. Most of all, Be safe and have a good time. Good luck Ronnie For the record, I like Open.
  19. That sounds like a plan to me. Thanks for the advice. Ronnie PS. A class, here I come.
  20. Mark, After all the money you've spent on this sport. I can't beleive you still talk to me. Afterall I think I took you to your first match. Ronnie
  21. I had a 74% 2 years, ago and thought I was going to A on every match for 6 months and didn't. I was trying to hard. I found I do better when I just shoot my game and don't push it to hard. I'm going for A one way or another. Thanks again guys, your the best. Ronnie
  22. Sorry man, words can't say enough when it's your mom. "What I hate" Is reading stuff like this. FWIW, know we feel your pain. May God be with you and your family. Ronnie
  23. NO NO NO I can't beleive it. The match scores just came out and I didn't make it. 74.58% I replaced a 58% with a 81% and it still didn't do it. Can I change this to "What I Hate". But wait, I still have time with the classifier match this coming weekend. If I don't have to work. Ronnie I think I remember something about counting chickens.
