  1. Life sucks without shooting.

  2. It's a long story but, I think I broke it while I was working on my gun. And yes, the frist gen of these scopes were not what you would expect from Millett but, the DMS is. Did I say I my Millett.
  3. I found a problem with my scope the day before the Area 6 3-gun last month. I figured out how to shoot it at 200yards and still won A-open. I called Millett and shipped it to them. Guess what I found on my doorstep today. A new Millett, free of charge. I could not shoot with out my Millett.
  4. Man what a match. It ran smooth with very little delays, great staff, stages, prizes, shooters, props, heaters on some of the stages, hell everything was great. BUT, I don't think our scores are right. I want a reshoot. How about this weekend? No prizes, just shooting. Bad news Aaron. Now you'll have to top this one and the only way to do that is let us shoot out of a Blackhawk in the air next year. OH, and use the saw as a backup gun on the 400 yard target. 20rds should do it.
  5. Yea but, if the not so right kind of attention showed up, I think we could handle it.
  6. Extra Security??? Is this place in an area that requires such? Hi Jim No it's not. This is on the north end of town. Like Alamo Shooter said, that kind of thing happens to us at some major matches. Knowing this, that was the first thing I asked the owner about. I know a lot of shooters will go straight there after the match(I will), so I wanted to know our equipment was going to be safe. He said he didn't like the idea of having 50 pissed off shooters in his parking lot, so he would have extra security there.
  7. No problems here. It's not a strip joint. It is a restaurant with a full bar and pool tables. Smoking is aloud but most of the customers dont. My wife dont smoke and she has never said anything about it smelling like smoke and she would. Their is a big non-smoking area to eat in too. I dont like smoky places myself, so I wouldn't recommend it if I thought it was a problem. Also dont forget, they will have extra security in the parking lot just for us.
  8. I've had some realy good steaks there and never got a bad one. McDonalds, Outback, Longhorn, I can eat at these places on almost any major match. Here is a local place that has great food and is recommended by a local shooter. I just don't understand why an out of town shooter wouldn't want to try it. If I were you I'd go the first night, so you will know where you'll be going the rest of the time your here.
  9. Mild, Medium, Hot or FLAMING,10, 20, 30, 40 or 50? Poppers, Monterey Chicken, Grilled Chicken, Country Fried Steak, Philly Cheese Steak/Chicken and more, with an ASS WHOOPIN ON THE POOL TABLE TO BOOT. What more can you ask for?
  10. I posted this back on page 19 and I can't believe no-one has posted a reply. Last year I posted Chef Lee's. OK, not everybody likes Chinese but, Meat and Potatos/Real Food and fun to boot at a great price? What's up? Where do you guys go to eat at major matches anyway?
  11. It's done, I'm in now. Thanks to the unfortunate shooters that could not make it. Now it's time to read the rules, again.
  12. +1, +1, +1 on the match and crew, it don't get any better than South River. Thanks Guys and Gails for another match to remember. YOUR THE BEST
  13. OK 3-gunners, I've just got $5.00 off (great food) coupons from Players here in Columbus to go in our shooters packet. Now $5.00 off of a 16oz Sirloin that cost $9.95 = $4.95, or 2 Large Porkchops, or a 16oz Ham Steak, the list goes on and on. This also includes 2 sides. No I don't work there, I'm just trying to make your visit to Ft. Benning as fun as possible. Did I say that they have , Wine, Mixed Drinks, Great Sweet Tea, Darts, Video Games and Pool. They have about 30 tables and most important will have lots of security on duty in the parking lot just for us. This is a nice place on the north side of town and easy to find. My wife and I eat lunch there 3 to 5 times a week. They are a straight shot west, off of I-185 exit 8, 3 red lights on the left. About 10 mins from the check in station on I-185. You must be 18 years or older to enter. Bring your stick and I'll show you how to play.
  14. We here at East Alabama Gun Club would like to welcome you to our home club for the Alabama Sectional Championship. Just a word or two about the match. We are looking at having 8 stages + crono, High round count(around 225 to 250), trophies and prizes, stages that will challenge everyone from the U Rev shooter to the GM Open shooter and at the same time, no Impossible shots. Around here we like high round count stages with very little standing still and options. If this sounds like something you like, then you need to be here for a really fun match. More details to come soon.
  15. Thanks but, the party is today (Saturday). No set up this time. SORRY
  16. OH CRAP, that's this coming weekend. I've been working to much. I'm going to try to be there this weekend. I haven't shot my rifle or shotgun and only shot one match with my open gun, and it didn't run to good at all. (5 hickups) I guess I'm as ready as I'll ever be. OH CRAP again! I think I have a B-day party to go to the weekend of the match. Granddaughter #3. I've got to check on this.
  17. Well' we had 48 shooters, and at last count about 4800 smiles(and still counting). It looked like everyone had a great time. I think I polished off most of the brownies and I am polishing of the rest of the large pizza size cookie as I'm posting this. We got to shoot Zombies, Vampires, Ghost and Pumpkins. We had a DARK HOUSE that was dark untill I pulled the trigger on my open gun. Then it got brighter then darker and so on and so on. (were did the targets go) That was a blast. The Falling Pumpkin stage was a blast too, although the pumpkins didn't fall very fast for me. The Ghost stages with white targets and brown no-shoots with X's realy made some shooters slow down. I guess something didn't seem right about shooting the white targets. It didn't bother me, I'm use to it. We realy worked our butts off on this one and it was worth every minute of it to see how much fun you guys had. BTW, It was great to meet Micah. He drove down here from Ohio to shoot our match, or that's what he said. I think he came down to see Kaci . Michael & Cheryl, Dave and Dan came up from FL. I guess it says something when you have regular shooters almost every month that drive 4 hours one way just to shoot your match. Thanks guys and gails. FTR, I had a BLAST.
  18. 93 veiws and only 3 replys I've heard alot of shooters say they'll be there but, no-one's talking about it here. I guess you guys just don't like Halloween or having fun shooting, or is everybody on facebook now and don't have time for BE? See ya this Sunday
  19. I agree with most of you guys. I do the same thing. I'll leave my friends that I've been looking forward to shooting with all week to shoot with a newbee squad, so they don't hold up the match and help them to have a good time and be safe. The funny thing is, my first match win I was shooting with about 5 U's, 3 D's & 2 C's. You will find some shooters GM to D who don't want to shoot with new shooters and they are usually the first ones to leave the match with out helping to take down the stages. Or doing as little as possible. When you do find the FEW like that. FIND ANOTHER SQUAD, I DO. And you have helped us in return. Thanks Jason
  20. Don't miss the scariest match of the year. We will be shooting targets you don't usually shoot at and doing things you don't normally do. ALL USPSA match and targets. More fun than you can shake a stick at. Don't be the ones that only hear about the match. Be one of the cool kids that shot it. Ronnie PS:I don't post all of our matches but, I do try to post the main ones that I wouldn't want to miss.
