  1. I know what you mean, I feel the same way. I have always tryed to get new shooters into this sport (USPSA) for the same reason. A year ago I was fortunate to be given a chance to help a new club/range (EAGC) get started in USPSA. We started a new shooters class that we try to have every month. We have USPSA and IDPA matches every month. I don't shoot the IDPA matches but, I am the Match Director/Course Designer and for what is worth Instructor at our New Shooters Classes. We have had a BLAST. The feeling you get when you see that ( I can do this ) look in their eyes is GREAT, and knowing that I have had a big part in about 40 shooters every month having a good time (PRICELESS). I never thought I would do any of these things but, I am. It takes people like you to keep this sport going and make it a success. Keep up the good work. Ronnie
  2. Yep, family first. You take care of your wife and daughter and I'll take care of Cherl's Brownies. Good Luck and Gods speed. Ronnie
  3. Happy Birthday Mark You da man. Ronnie
  4. On 8/16/09 at 10:00 am est we will start our 1st Anniversary Match. Regular match fee ($20.00), 6 stages, prizes (at random draw before the match starts), some old props and some new props and targets. I/WE still can not believe how well we have been excepted in this sport, and how much support we've gotten from the shooters. This is our way of saying THANKS to all of you for your support. We have tryed really hard to keep our matches as high a quality as possible. This match WILL be even better. Round count is not final yet but, I would bring at least 300rds, if not 400. It looks like we will have a side match too. Get here the day before the match and enjoy the new Infantry museum in Columbus Ga and the night life Down Town on Broad street. Great food, drink and music. Now thats a great weekend without killing the bank account. This is not a major match, it's just major to us. EAGC Match Director Ronnie Shores
  5. +1 Allen We build or destroy our rights every day by what we do or don't do. We're just trying to do our part. Thanks Ronnie
  6. ????????????? I too tried it on time and got the same responce. Then tried it much later and got the app.??????????????????? Ronnie
  7. Thanks everybody. We've all been there or will be there and just knowing that someone cares means the world to me. It's not always the words we say. Sometimes, it's the fact that we just say something. That alone can give us the strength we need. Thank God she didn't suffer. She had already done enough of that. Many Thanks for your support and blessings. Ronnie
  8. Any more takers/shooters? Two matches in one weekend this close to the Area 6 match. I dont know about you but, I need the practice. I wont say Rain or Shine or Hell Freezes Over but, I will say IF THE CREEK DONT RISE. So let us know. Ronnie
  9. Are you kidding? I think I've touched my rifle and shotgun two times this year and one of those times was to move them out of my way in the safe. I guess your right, you don't have to practice to lose. Ronnie
  10. Thanks Mark for posting the E-mail. It was not just the weather, their were other problems in the mix too. Most of you will never know how hard it was to cancel the match. I fought it all the way to the point were if I waited much longer we could not have gotten the word out soon enough to let everyone know. I do not want people to think that if rain is in the forcast that we will cancel on them and not show up. Well, the good thing is, we will have some really good stages for the next match. SORRY Ronnie
  11. I don't know, I'll ask her. We took pictures last night and we'll get them posted for you. Ronnie
  12. I know what you mean. I'm the same way. You look at a stage and think, if I only had my Open gun. I love my Open gun. Ronnie
  13. I can't beleive Team Swiss Cake shot their rematch today and their is no news. Ronnie
  14. Yes it's a ???Widow spider. Bright red hour glass and all. I knew it was before I saw the spider. I can always tell by the web, then the egg sack. I don't have any pictures, but I will get some posted. I didn't know if anyone would even reply to the thread. Ronnie
  15. I do heating and A/C and find a lot of spiders. I found a White Black Widow the other day and put it in a jar with it's eggs. I've seen black ones and brown ones, but never White ones. Has anyone ever seen one? Ronnie
  16. No problem, you can shoot through some of the stages to the point were you can finish the match before you have to leave. After all, you help set this stuff up. I dont think anyone would care. Ronnie
  17. I'll take good care of them for you. You can pick them up at the pawn shop down the street anytime Monday-Saturday 9am till 6pm. Ronnie
  18. Man you guys are doing it now. Yall give us nothing but praises about our matches and that is enough. It's a lot more than I could have ever hoped for. Ronnie
  19. As Match Director of EAGC I think I should say a few words about a new change in our match crew. Billy will not be doing our scores for now. He has done a great job in doing this for us and Cool Springs. We could not have done it without him. Their has not been a major problem with the scoring of our matches. It's just that most of the shooters want to see their scores a little faster than 3 to 4 days. (Self included) Billy and Allen talked about it this morning. They decided in the best interest of our club and trying to give the shooters what they wanted to let Mark K give it a try. Billy like most of us has a job that he has to do Monday-Friday (I don't think Mark works at anything but shooting) and this makes it hard to get the scores out the next day. I'm sure if our match was on Saturday, he could have had the scores out by Sunday. It's a tough job to do and I take my hat off to anyone that does it or trys to do it. For the record. Billy did not bail on us, he let us try it on our own. He has been a great asset to us and will be in the future. I hope. To Billy and all of the score keepers and crews. Without you, we wouldn't have a shooting sport. Thanks Ronnie
  20. It will be great having you here and giving you a chance to shoot, without working. We will do our best to make sure you all have fun. AA's or Remington Nitro,s will work good in almost all shotguns. Try to stay away from the cheap stuff. Ronnie
  21. I don't know if I can get my 34 from Jerry two weekends in a row. Ya, it's funny how sometimes a C or B shooter can win the classifier with M and GM shooters there. See ya Sunday Ronnie
  22. Thanks Boz, Yes I'm an A Open shooter and a GM SANDBAGGER. How does that make me a C prod shooter? If you were a GM SANDBAGGER you would know. I'll show you some day. BTW, I finaly won something at my own match. Ronnie
  23. Bobby, Have never done 3-gun, but will be giving it a try. I have an AR-15 and a Mossberg 500 assault Shotgun - you are welcome to use. Bobby, that is what we do. If you don't have all of the gear, team up with someone and we will let you use ours. Just bring good amo, no reloads. I'll be shooting Open and if Susan wants to try it, she can use my stuff. (1100 & AR) Remember, it's all about fun. Ronnie
  24. Man, I didn't mean to shut down this thread. Sorry for the drift. Now back to Team Swiss Cake Rolls. As most of you know, I shot Prod on this match. If you want to call what I done shooting. It's killing me waiting to see how bad I got beat. Ronnie
