Thanks. I would have thought it would have more of a difference. I am going to use that data minus %10 and go up from there. That would be 2.5g N320 with the 160g Bayou at 1.15 Most of the production loads I have read on here are 2.7-3.0g
How does barrel length difference affect fps? Some of the load data I am looking at was from a Glock 19. How much different is the feet per second going to be for my full size CZ? 4" to 4.6" Barrel with different twist. The data I am looking at is from this article http://www.shootingtimes.com/reloading/reloading-heavy-bullets-in-9mm-luger/ Thanks Tim
My first load was 124g Bayou 3.6g titegroup 1.14 oal light crimp with a light lee Factory Crimp die. It cycled 100% 25 rounds. Now I get to play around with reloading some more. Thanks again.
I don't have a Chronograph yet. I guess I need to put one on my wish list. Thank you all for your advice. A lot of you guys posts from the past have been very helpful also. I am getting the hang of this 550b as my first press just by setting up this load
Seems my 124g Bayou bullets plunk fine at 1.14-1.15. Is there any advantage to trying to load them this long. From reading I take it I should try them long and record accuracy and then start adjusting them in.
I have C-more dots I have 8 on my 1022 and 12 on my 22/45. I have 2 moa dots on my AR and a target barrel for my 22/45. The 8 and 12 are on guns I shoot Steel Challenge with.
I have a Cz shadow. I am going to load my first ever ammo. I have read and searched the world. I have some 124g Bayou Rn bullets I have titegroup and some n320. Most of the load data I have seen sounds like titegroup and n320 both are loaded about 3.4- 4.0 grains Most of the load data books I have found are for FMJ. What kind of starting load would you recommend with the cast 124g Bayou bullets?
I ordered some Bayou Bullets in 124 and 160 to play with as I am going to try to make some minor loads also. Some of our side matches actually have to knock down steel also. I am looking for a 550 dillon as my first press. Thanks for that advice with the lighter loads. I think experimenting with different loads will definitely be in the future.
I have been reading and shopping. I picked up some Titegroup powder and CCi primers. I have a CZ Standard shadow. I am looking for Advice on a low recoil load with the tire group and my CZ. Also what Bullet diameter and profile works best with the CZ? I have been looking at X-treme coated bullets and there are many options. I don't need to meet any PF right now. Looking for advice Thanks Tim
I called CGW about my barrel. It was explained to me that the tolerance is now tighter and it can change the point of impact slightly. I now have my sights adjusted and the gun is way more accurate than I am.
Find anything out on this bushing changing the POI. Mine seems to have changed to the left about 2.5" also with install of this bushing. I just moved the rear sight quite a bit over to the right to compensate for the different POI
How did you like these? Is there any curvature at all, or is it really flat? I saw their newer ones but they might be too much palm swell for my small hands.. They are flat there is no curve to it . I like the grips.
