  1. Is you gun fully in battery? To check, push the slide forward in battrery. Does it move? When you let it go, does the spring push it back out of battery even a little?
  2. I had one that ran out of elevation too. Sent it back to cmore and they said it was fine but sent me another one and that one had enough adjustment. There must be some assembly/quality control issue.
  3. Did you have to do that because it’s and issue or just did it because it annoyed you? I am just worried that the sleeve being too wide may allow some movement in the grip that could cause damage but not sure if that is even an issue.
  4. Is it normal for the little grip screws near the trigger guard on a PT Evo grip to move in and out even when the screws are tightened? I have not seen this before on my STI plastic grips but upgraded to the Evo and noticed this today. Thanks
  5. Has anyone broken the new style barrel yet?
  6. You can get 9.6 grains in a case but at that point, the powder funnel may not drop all the powder into the case consistently and you have a lot of spillage. I did make major at 9.4 grains.
  7. This is what I finally settled on: 4 ports in barrel - Stock Trubor Comp 9.8 grains 3N38 121 Grain Projectile
  8. Sounds like you have to put the bullet on before you rotate the shell plate? Thanks for the info guys.
  9. With 4 barrel holes I get 167 PF with 8.8 grains in 3N38 with a 121 gr RN at 1.175. I was hoping to run 115's but it may be a totally full case or not leave enough room fro the chrono.
  10. Has anyone made 9mm major with 115 GR bullets and 3N38? If so, how many grains of powder were you running?
  11. Hi guys, I am able to find ballistics calculators that can tell me how much the vertical offset of the scope affects POI at various distances, but how do I determine how much the horizontal offset of the amount affect windage at various distances? Any help would be appreciated.

I have this same problem and cannot get the Big Sticks to run. I'd love to see some pictures of the modification you have done. Even the 140mm mags with CZ internals are only reliable holding 20 rounds. I think after 20, that the spring catches on the sides under the control ribs.
  13. I would say it depends on how serious you plan to be. 38 SC cases have a larger case capacity so you can use a slower burning powder and have a larger volume of gas. That works the comp better. How much better is the real question but a lot of matches are won and lost by very small percentages. With the trend of more ports in the barrels, some powders will not be able to make major in the 9mm. Most of the best Open shooters in the world run 38 SC. The big advantage of 9mm is the cost of the brass.
  14. Feel good. It's not like a night and day improvement but it does appear to stay flatter for at least one more frame than the stock design.
  15. Total rework of gun: Ported barrel DPM 3N38 New CZ barrel design Modified compensator Long flat firing pin stop .302 stroke
  16. As an interesting test today, I strapped 5 lbs of ankle weights to my arms today to see the effect on muzzle flip. It had zero performance gain when the slide hits the frame but it did dampen some of the oscillation that occurs when the slide goes back into battery. I wish I had a faster camera though. 240 FPS makes a lot of this analysis difficult to see.
  17. I had the gunsmith machine away space for the guide rod head on the barrel. He removed the minimal amount of material possible.
  18. I have two. One is 2012 and I believe the other one is 2010ish. CZ told me they put the new barrel design into production in the past year but I know for a fact that many of the old barrel designs were still shipping.
  19. CZ told me they evaluated both modifying the guide rod and modifying the barrel and decided it would be better to modify the barrel. I have yet to see evidence of one of these in the wild though. Can anyone who received a Czechmate with the new barrel design verify if they have modified the guide rod or barrel?
  20. Thanks! Have you run this barrel in your gun? I have a replacement barrel with the new design and discovered that the slide does not go fully into battery as the guide rod is binding on the tapered portion of the barrel. CZ says a relief needs to be machined to allow the guide rod to sit parallel to barrel in battery. It doesn't appear yours has anything machined into it.
  21. Unfortunately this thread is missing a view of where the guide rod rests on the barrel. I wanted to see if a new style barrel fitted by CZ has any cuts in the spot where the guide rod rests.
  22. Does anyone have a Czechmate with the new barrel design (extra material where slide stop goes through)? If so, could you please post a picture here so I can see if CZ had to machine where the guide rod sits. It appears the new tapered design does not allow the guide rod to sit parallel to the barrel when in battery and my gunsmith believes a slot needs to be cut. CZ doesn't have one in Inventory to look at. Thanks!
  23. How many rounds of major ammunition have you fired from your guns?
  24. Keep in mind that the shadow is built on the small frame so there is considerably less material in the block where the slide goes through and this area can crack. I would agree that you probably want to stick to minor rounds.
