  1. And it shouldn't be an entry-level division. We already have 4 of those. 5 if you count PCC.
  2. We wouldn't have the dot sights we have now had it not been for the use of their much bigger grandfathers in USPSA. Even with those huge ProPoints the sport proved they were faster than iron sights.
  3. The thing is dots have been around and used in USPSA since 89-90. We probably wouldn't see the dots we have now had they not been.
  4. I never said it was the greatest but for the money, it is an option worth looking at.

    Which Striker Spring.

So is the GLOCK FIRING PIN SPRING 5 LB the factory weight spring?

    Which Striker Spring.

I've had some primers not go pop lately and I'm about 99.9% sure they aren't high primers. I think the root cause is a combination of the Timney trigger and a worn striker spring.
  7. Check out the Canik Rival. You can be under $1k including the optics.
  8. G34.5 running stock striker spring. I want to replace it with a little stronger spring. What should I go with?
  9. Never heard of them but I question any company that would make this like it was a good idea. https://www.dpmsystems.com/magazine-floorplate-glass-breaker

  11. Open is Open. LO in my opinion shouldn't be minor.
  12. Just a thought and tell me if I am wrong. It would make sense to allow frame mounted optics in a new LO class because there are a lot of folks with Limited guns that don't have optic cuts and it is cheaper to add a frame mount. Also a frame mount would allow the gun to be used in Limited by removing the mount.

    Steel frames?...

I've seen the optics that they make. Not that impressed.
  14. I've been back in the sport for about a year after an almost 30 year break. When I started the sport a top flight Open gun was a custom 1911 with a 1 or 2 port comp. I was there when people started adding Tosco ProPoint tubes to those guns and my last gun that I ran for about a year was built on a Chip McCormick Hi-Cap 1911 with that same Tosco ProPoint. We were shooting 175 PF .38 Super. I don't remember any failures in my gun and very few in other's guns. Sure there was the occasional problem but you seldom saw them at major matches unless something just broke and that was rare. I shoot at 4 different clubs monthly and RO'd both the Arkansas Sectional and Area 4 last year and I don't know that I've seen a stage or squad that didn't have some failures to function. The only major change I see is that there are a lot of Major 9mm and the longer mags than we had back then.
  15. How about comparing the same gun with and without the comps.

  17. We have one now. https://forums.brianenos.com/forum/208-canik/
  18. I'm using a factory spring with TF +4 extensions. According to their website they are supposed to work with stock springs.
  19. I'll probably try one but they really should have gone with bigger dots instead of circles.
