  1. And there were probably people that said that when Plaxco stuck a comp on a .38 Super 1911 and I know there were when people Barnhart stuck a Propoint RDS on one.
  2. This has always been the case in USPSA. It is called innovation.
  3. Why is this the case? Is it a 9 Major thing? Because back in the day I fired way more than 25K rounds more like 75K-100K each out of single and double stack 1911s shooting 38Super.
  4. So your thought is to make what is a racegun class (LO) have a lower capacity than the production class (CO).
  5. Just like it does in limited. I will always think they screwed this up. The Maj/Min is as far as I'm concerned the big difference between Carry Ops and what LO should have been and may still be.
  6. I keep hearing this "even out" argument and don't understand it at all. The difference if it is minor only (which I don't think it should be) is you will have more speed in with a 9mm than a .40 because of mag capacity with little to nothing gained. It isn't up to the sport to right rules to make the game even because someone uses the wrong caliber. If it is major/minor then the rules have already balanced it. You get more points for other than A hits in exchange for losing some time due to mag capacity.
  7. Their website doesn't show a 154. https://geco-ammunition.com but it does show a a 124 V10 [m/s] 350 350 m/s = 1148.29 fps x 124 = 142.3 PF
  8. A club I ran used to do much the same. It was mostly new shooters. At first, we calculated a class A-D then we started looking at the math after about a year we figured out just bump everyone up one class from their USPSA class and change D to unclassified. The only reason we did this was that we gave actually class awards (in the form of a metal piece that stuck on a nice plaque after every match and a nice plaque for year end. This was back in the late 80s early 90s. Nobody seems do that anymore.
  9. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Very correct.
  10. App F 2.The Range Master (in consultation with the Match Director) must clearly delineate the vendor area, and he may issue “Acceptable Practice Guidelines” to all vendors, who are responsible for their implementation in respect of their own merchandise.
  11. I just noticed a 171mm Single stack mag can be used on a Limited Optics 1911. Who makes them?
  12. Then it is likely you are in some way not racking the slide all the way between dry fires.
  13. Does it do the same when live firing?
  14. Is Metaloy Industries in Berryville as good as they used to be? They were the go to place for HC back in the 80s & at least early 90s.
  15. I did it this weekend because we had an all classifier match.

    MBX 24 rd Chrome Mag

Since the MBX mags are advertised as NOT locking the slide back I would assume at least some of the change is there.

    Customer Service

Same here. I think they are likely just overwhelmed. Their sales have had to at least triple in the last few years.
  18. The first match I ever shot was in Little Rock Arkansas. The first stage I shot was a fixed-time stage and two shooters were shooting at the same time. The first string I walk up to the line and on command L&MR as this tall guy next to me was doing the same. When the beep comes I hear six rounds fired and my gun hadn't yet cleared the holster. That is how I was introduced to USPSA and J. Michael Plaxco.
  19. It was a majority. I don't know that I would call it vast.
