  1. I started with the JP, but ended up going to a Rock River 2 stage with Jp springs, but this was on a DPMS .300 Saum, it was a real thrill having it do 3 round burst. On my Armalite .308 I went with the JP but with heavier springs, the JP springs don't hit hard enough, Armalite has a firing pin spring.
  2. Yea I'm starting to miss the commercials about hemmoroids and such....now we will have to listen to all the problems the new voting machines will have caused, and all the recounts
  3. money is an object????? we're shooters... whats money got to do with anything? along with food? a home? cars? life in general? the problem I have is time for shooting....... I have my guns, 14 4/2" Cav arms w/CQT, STI .40 Eagle, and my Benilli M1. and just got my heavy metal class guns ready to go,
  4. Times have changed...when people call station wagons and four door family cars,"mucle cars" I think it was an injustice to call it a "Charger" saw a bare bone 3.5,3.6? yesterday, licence plate bracket said "Michell's General Lee", I'm thinking not even close...... I like the fact they are bringing the Challanger back, 2 door, hot rod,,,yea!!!! Oh, my mucle car is a 2000 Z/28 315HP+ 6 speed and 30 mpg (when I keep my foot out of it) and goes like a bat out of hell
  5. has anybody heard of "Imperial defence services England" 40 rounders steel, they look great w/green followers and seem to work, found a small stash of them
  6. I was not a big .308 fan, that was changed about 3 weeks ago, picked up a Rem 700 for my wife. We shot a long range match here in Idaho I was shooting my Dpms .300 saum and she was shooting her .308, we both were shooting the 178 A-max across valleys and hills out to 1000 she had no problem. and it was a stock Rem Sendaro with a Leupold 4.5-14 Mark 4, first time she ever did anything like that, out of 10 teams we finished 5th, very proud of her and her gun
  7. Dpms mags are much cheaper.... about 1/2ish
  8. got my wife a Gold a couple of years ago, did the spring thing, worked great for a little while then go down hill again (usually at a major match) found the best fix was to replace the whole gun with a benelli, she's happy now
  9. Pistol......$1500 Rifle.......$1500 Shotgun..$800 Extra crap and ammo$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ The fun of blowing the crap out of things with all 3 guns........PRICELESS actually it not to bad until your wife wants to play too.....but then that really makes it all worth while between the 2 of us we really can cover our kitchen table
  10. duct tape and bailing wire work pretty good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bro, I might have an extra or two kicking around, that will cost you a few extra beers, and remeber no cheap crap like the stuff you drink........
  11. I just started to carry a broken case extracter, I've had that happen twice at a match.
  12. I do a figure "8" at 300' ,a 10" flash target being at the bottom and the dot being at the top, this on 3X, 14.5" bbl. with 69 grainers. everything elase is pretty much dead on. close enough for most 3 gunning. I don't shoot this gun much past that.
  13. i never stagger the mags-besides, having them the same length allows for a fantastic monopod, whether you shoot tactical or open. also, after cinching them real, real tight, i wrap some good old duct tape around the bottom third of the mags-can still get the bases off to clean. outerlimits and I do the same thing , works perfectly!!! I also think this is one of the fastest reloads while prone.
  14. about a year ago or so after Russel told me about the problem, I removed all mine, except from my DPMS .300 SAUM and my new Armalite AR10 .308 I don't think I want those springs flying out of there, they might take out a small city!!!!!!!!!!
  15. I've been approched to locate a score keeper for a squad at the MGM, that they are willing to pay out of thier own pocket. So I am checking out to see if any other squads would be interesed. They requested for a female from the the local college, or one that works nights at one of the gentlemens club. So I am getting a body count on how many would be needed, and I can start doing interviews it will be a tough job but I am willing to do it for my fellow shooters. thanks Mark Anglin
  16. where did you find this at??? where did you find this at??? where did you find this at??? sorry didn't mean to sound excited.... computer glitch
  17. the simms pad for my M1S90 didn't fit worth beans,( I have a field syn stock) whne I called them they were a little on the rude side and really didn't care , so I ended up fitting a different pad , still a Limbsaver, but I don't remeber which one. I just took it stock down to the local sporting goods store and found one that fit the best.
  18. I have a few different brand of AR's and both my wife and I run Cav Arms for 3 gunning (and believe me, her guns better run). I've shot with those guys for years and played with even the full auto versions they work. this last year at the MGM almost our entire squad (trooper class) were running Cav guns, and I don't remember a single malfunction in 6000+ rounds fired in those guns during that match. thats my input for whatever it's worth
