    New Gun Lube?

That is the best motorcycle/Squid combo story EVER!!! DO it again!!
  2. Greg, You must really like this running and gunning stuff now... Kevin
  3. OK I am confued now, your gun weighs in a full OZ. less then all the others? M&P Pro 9mm with what size palm swell?
  4. Ken, I did do just that, with a total of three different guns, my orgianl, my buddies new Pro that he had a Apex trigger in, and the brand new, never fired, no skin oil on what so ever, and all three were the same.
  5. Happy to help make your shooting story complete.....;-)
  6. bthoefer, if your gun weighed in at 29.9 at an level 2or higher match you would be shooting Open.. this is what I am working on fixing, I think the base weight of the Pro 9mm needs to be 28.80 oz. not the current 27.44 oz. I am picking up a new Pro tomorrow and I will weigh it with NO changes, no shots through it and no oil on it. I am going to guess right now that the gun with one mag is 28.80 oz.. And please any other M&P Pro shooters, send me this info, the more I have the stronger the case to adjust the NROI list.
  7. So I have a second M&P Pro that my buddy just got, right out of the box, never fired and it weighed in at 28.80oz, so something is up with the NROI weight of 27.44 for this gun. I need to get a larger sample size to take to John Amidon and NROI for considerations. After calling and talking with S&W I am not feeling 100% on the weight provided by them, as it was stated by Marc at S&W the weights are just swags that go up on the web page, and I was the first USPSA caller ever to ask about the weight of a gun.
  8. Hello all, So I got pushed to Open for the Area match, lucky for me I had my big mags with me for 3Gun. But here is why... My gun weighed in at 30oz, granted I did have a tungsten guide rod and a new spring (net weight diff between stock and mods 1.15oz), so with that in mind my gun should have made weight, NROI weight of 27.44 +1.15 , should keep me well with in the +2oz allowed by the rules. So the hunt begins as to why I did not make weight.. SO my gun all Stock parts returned weighed in at 28.85 (still dirty form the match)... well that is over already.. Oh wait I have a Gen 2 pro. So what I am looking for from the hive mind, is this, if you have a STOCK Pro Series 9mm and a good scale can you weigh it on and let me know. I am looking for Gen 1 and Gen 2 readings. As an aside note, the Gen 1 Mags weight in at 3.20oz and the newer mags are 3.05, so when you go it get the gun weight check what you have with you. I did not. Also trying to get details from S&W on this as they have "dropped" many of the variations of the Pro Series off there web page along with the 9L (not the CORE). Thanks for the help. Kevin
  9. Reading the rules should not be an option, and the rules will help you pick gear that you will be able to use. just saying..
  10. So I need to ask, what are the dryer sheets for? And what kind of sheet are you using, Bounce?
  11. Cohland, good idea on the test tubes holder. Sarge, also a good idea, I might need to put that tool board up sooner rather then later. Shane, that would only support the bottom of the tube, and might provide a source for gunk to get into the tubes that would not be wanted. but still a good Idea. I found this site that sells Test Tube supplies, for a much better price. http://www.lcmlab.com/Test_Tube_Racks_s/27.htm
  12. Hello, I am looking to see if anyone has or uses something to “stand up” their full primer tubes as you are reloading? Does anyone make a stand, bracket, or clips to keep the tubes upright so the primers don’t get flipped? (I know that this should not happen in the tube, but I have had a tube “fall” over on the bench and it let the last primers flip over in the tube.) Or am I on the road to making a million bucks for my really cool, and limited target audience invention? Kevin
  13. This weekend at the match we had a similar situation happen to a shooter twice. The RO heard the pop of the primer, did not hear the report of the pistol and stopped the shooter. In both cases there was no squib in the barrel, and was a re-shoot ordered. It is better to be safe, then to be sorry.
  14. This site has it all for S&W M&P. http://www.speedshooterspecialties.com/
  15. This is a great match and is put together well, if you come out you will have a great time.
  16. Calling every shot.

      It's all in the grip!

  17. You know he is a total dumbass!! He works at the Airport, and FAA requires any bad that has a firearm in it to be scanned at EVERY point that the bag it touched ON and OFF a plane. So if the bag need to change planes, it is getting scanned twice....
  18. Thank you sir, that was the answer. I guess my version of tight is not the same as Dillon's. Right as rain now.
  19. Hello all, So I have a crazy question, in the instructions for the case feeder they suggest that you should start with one or two "bins" of cases in the hopper. Well with just one half full "bin" the damn thing jams up and will not spin to move the cases around. What should I be putting in the hopper, 100? less.. hell why not feed them by hand..... I can't call Dillon, because they don't answer their phone anymore..... Any suggestions would be great. Kevin
  20. On Page 86, if you look at the position of the Arrow and the stated measurement, it is clear that the inside belt is what is used to start the measument, NOT the outer belt. Kevin
  21. Hello all, So I have a "Old" 550, you know no zerts in it, no B stamped on it. What I am experiencing it a "sticking", or "freezing" of the action while returning the handle to the up position before seating the primer. I have taken the press apart, cleaned all the parts, lubed and reassembled it. This has not resolved the issue. Has anyone had this issue, and if so how did you fix this. Kevin
