  1. You can't go wrong with any of the Shadows. I prefer the Sp-01 Shadow Custom Target with the SHRT.
  2. I've spent a lot of money on grips and I keep going back to the stock rubber grips.
  3. I recently bought a used XL650 from a guy that had it sitting unused in his garage for 15 years. I sent it to Dillon to have it refurbished. $77.00 (that included return shipping) and 2 weeks later I got a rebuilt and upgraded unit that looked like it was brand new. They also rebuilt the powder measures and sent me brand new dies. I would imagine that they would do the same thing with a 1050 as well. Buy it and send it to Dillon.
  4. Another vote for CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow Custom. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  5. I am using Xtreme 124 plated HP in a 5" Open Limcat but this should get you close. You will probably need to go to 5.7 for the MG CMJs. YMMV N340 5.5 grns 1.15 OAL PF = 143
  6. I have to say my recent experience has been quite the opposite. I recently bought a used XL650 from a gentleman that hadn't used it in 15 years. It was outdated and really stiff to operate. I called Dillon to see about getting it refurbished. After waiting on hold for nearly an hour I finally talked to a very knowledgable customer service rep. He instructed me to send the press, dies and powder measures to them to get rebuilt. 2 weeks later I got it back, the press and the powder measures were completely rebuilt and the dies were replaced with carbide dies. They charged me $77.95 total and that included the cost of return shipping. I'd say that's pretty good customer service.
  7. Scored 10 bricks of SPM myself. Thanks for the heads up!
  8. Update: Was on hold for about 45 min. When I got through I talked to their customer service representative Mike. He told me that Dillon will completely refurbish and upgrade any outdated parts and make it basically as if it were a new machine for $77.95. That includes any caliber conversion kit, dies and powder measures installed on the press. Turnaround time is about 2 weeks and return shipping is on their dime. If that is not awesome customer service I do not know what is! He gave me a RMA# and it is headed to Dillon today!
  9. Relatively cheap sounds good. Now, does anybody know how to get a hold of them?
  10. Just bought a used XL650, It had been sitting covered on the previous owners work bench in his garage for at least 15 years. It works but is really stiff. I tried cleaning it up a little and greased and oiled it but it is still really stiff. I have a new XL650 that I bought from Brian and the old one is quite a bit different (shell plate assembly, powder measure and fail safe rod assembly that I can tell so far). I believe I have read on here or someplace else that Dillon will refurbish it for free or for a nominal fee. Has anyone had experience with this in the past? I have called their customer service several times and have been on hold for up to 30 minutes with no answer I also sent them an email but the confirmation said it could be up to 14 days to get a reply. Should I keep trying or am I misguided?
  11. If you are going to use it for production, save yourself the time and money and get the SP-01 Shadow Target Custom from CZC then get the SHRT installed. You will be very very happy. Ask me how I know.
  12. + 1 Accu Shadow. I have a SP-01 Shadow Custom Target and a Shadow Custom Target. I will probably get a Accu Shadow once they are production approved. You will be very pleased.
  13. I use Xtreme 180 grn. RNFP with 4.5 Titegroup. 1.125 COL in a XDM 5.25. 170 PF. Just got a STI Edge and increased OAL to 1.145 but haven't chronoed it yet.
  14. I hope someone replays to this. I have the exact same issue. I'm using my computer glasses now.
  15. +1. Dry fire and a couple matches and I don't think about anymore. Congrats, you are going to be happy.
  16. G34 Gen 4 - Dawson adjustable rear and Dawson FO or solid front.
  17. The only obvious transition issue for me was switching to a DA/SA trigger. Lots of dry fire practice makes that a non-issue. I don't even think about it anymore. Also, if you purchase a CZ75 Shadow Custom from CZ Custom the trigger will be even lighter and smoother (consider adding the SHRT trigger upgrade as well) and you will be able to use it in IDPA SSP.
  18. + 1 - CZ75 SP-01 Shadow Custom Target. I purchased mine from CZ Custom and could not be more pleased. Also, get the SHRT installed. You will love it. Contact Stuart, he'll treat you right.
  19. I use Xtreme 147s. I have had no issues with accuracy. They are plated not FMJ. I live about 30 minutes from them so it is easy for me to go there and pick them up. 147 Xtreme RN 3.5 gn TiteGroup 1.145 OAL 135 PF
  20. I use Tight Group with .40, 4.5 grains with a 180 grain Xtreme RNFP. They chrono @ 170 through a XDM 5.25.
  21. I'm with Motosapiens...I have a Glock 34 and 2 CZ Shadows. They have all been reliable. I feel like I'm more competitive with the CZs though.
  22. I am using Xtreme 124 gn rn @ 1.145 OAL in both a G34 G4 and CZ75 SP-01 Shadow with zero issues.
  23. Definitely go with one of the Shadows and you will be very happy you did. CZ75 SP-01 Shadow - No firing pin block, 3 mags, better grips, competition rear sight with FO front and better trigger. CZ75 Shadow (if you prefer the short dust cover), 2 mags, better grips, competition rear sight with FO front, even better trigger, extended firing pin and SS guide rod. If you can afford it go with either the SP-01 Shadow Custom or the Shadow Custom models from CZ Custom. The upgrades are worth the extra expense. The only issue is that although they are both legal for USPSA Production, I don’t think they are legal for IPSC Production.
