  6. I'm not holding my gun but i put my hands up in a impromptu grip and my wrists don't meet..... my support hand is in front of my strong hand and the bump of the support hand is in the indent of my strong hand first nuckle (just below it).......thats kinda hard to explain you should be able to tell if you have a good grip on the gun by shooting the gun and allowing it to stay high after the recoil..... if you fire and it goes up and left then your not getting a full grip on the gun with your support hand assuming your right handed. it should go straight up. edit to add: also was thinking when i grip my support hand is almost full strength, my strong hand is more relaxed so as not to allow interference with trigger movement...... hope this helps. but honest i'm kinda stabbing in the dark you've probably already been thru all this best video i seen of grip instruction was matt burkett pratical shooting volume 1
  7. ^^ I'm way to cheap to even fathom this
  8. Eat, Sleep, Shoot, Repeat

  9. Could you explain this a little differently i'm not sure i got it.... are you saying if i'm a A C shooter ( which is pretty much the case ) i should shoot slower and get A A or shoot faster to get to the next target accepting what i've hit to lower my stage times? I think u mean the latter but just want to clarify my ATT is set to my parents where i keep my gun. My partner does not want the gun in the house. thank you for your post i really like this constructive criticism
  10. i may just do that thanks for the heads up... i wanted to go to the michigan state match and i'm busy that weekend.

  13. could be!!! im actually supprised its not a more developed industry....... it seems to me jerseys are one of the most popular parts of all sports, hockey, soccer, nascar.
  14. i'm not sure if thats the path i'm looking for techwear does make the shirts but it seems like a pain in the butt to get one ie copyrighted materials approvals and design creation. I just want to buy one someone else designed..... no hoops no red tape just heres my money send me pretty shirt lol .....
  15. Does anyone know where i can buy those fancy shirts the pros wear? I dont even care if it has someone elses name on the back lol You know the ones with all the spashy advertisements and shiny colors. :0 I think they are spiffy
  16. I have come to the conclusion that this is going to be an invaluable tool to me. For me to be able to accomplish this. I'm thinking a blowback Airsoft KTW Or Toyko 1911 model is the way to go to match my para 45. espicially with the sight aquisition/front sight part of the equation. I'm finding this quite difficult as soon as my trigger breaks and the gun kicks i seem to lose focus on the site every time, its frustrating. I've been therorizing about front sight focus. Is it possible that since my gun is factory still. I have more front sight rise then say someone who has changed springs and perhaps guide rod and balanced recoil.........it just seems like such an uncontrolled violent act when the gun goes off n it happens so quickly. Is it possible to actually watch my sight rise and fall......... Anyway perhaps that conversation is for another thread
  17. lumpy i agree with what you've said. i know i'm new this sport and i have tonnes to learn. its great having all the helpful folks who are willing to provide some direction Now if all the damn white stuff would just melt and go away i can get outside and practice it cheers n thank you
  18. i use titegroup but for 45 not 38 super there is load dataon the hodgson website for cast and FMJ http://data.hodgdon.com i found data on a 125grn FMJ bullet...... starting load is 4.4 grns with a velocity listed as 1020 fps and 28300 cup the max is listed as 5 grains with a 1125 fps with 31800 cup
  19. Apparently they are 30 days behind so they took it offline temporarily so they could get caught up. Must be a nice problem to have.....so much business you have to take down the website to prevent sales to give you a chance to catch up..... very true it looks to me like almost everyone is on the catchup. being canadian i have a longer wait then you guys :/
  20. i cant believe that..... i havent been shooting long but i have never heard of such a thing..... stealing from someone whos carrying a gun and competeting with it. seems to me like you have some partially retarded people at your matchs haha i would bet if you just posted a sign indicating there is someone stealing it would raise the general awareness of the issue and people would be more 'aware'. this would deter anyone i know of from stealing at a match
  21. interesting if i unprime brass beacuse of this mistake or that i've always done it carefully and then put the primer back in the priming tube for the next batch...... is there a flaw in my thought process..... is this unsafe or is there another drawback im missing to doing this? this thread just brought this question to mind
  22. damn i should have taken that 650 off the forum the other day......... sold for 600with case feeder ill regret that one
  23. Personally i would highly recommend watching matt burketts pratical shooting volume 1 it helped me with the very issue. in his training video he goes thru the setups of stance right from the ground up centering yourself to your NPA and aquiring sight picture while working with a student. if anything its a excellent base to use. redevelop your grip, presentation to the target and the movements that go along with this process. It worked wonders for me If your at all computer savy you can find this DVD series on piratebay Cheers and keep shooting
