  1. Just picked up my unicorn! Any open div holsters out there with good reviews, as light as possible.
  2. Getting to control how the reloads feel is a plus as well. Different powders/bullet combos etc. Spring weights. I save money reloading, but it means I shoot more. It also allows me to purchase more guns to shoot up my excess ammo
  3. CGW is good stuff. Don't hesistate to contact CZC for your production legal needs, CS is second to none
  4. I want to do this!!! The sense of pride and accomplishment, not only in getting the cnc set up, but creating. Noticed a coworker brought in an incomplete lower and threw it on the machines at work during break. i have little to no experience in that department, so might have to see if hed learn me some knowledge!

    P-250

have a p250c. Great HD or truck gun. Long pull, but has no safety. it is in 9mm, and very manageable. The whit dot sights on top are big, and allow the sights to fall on a target at 7-15y very easy.
  6. I'd say go for it. It is something she can shoot well, something ya'll can do together. Springers have great customer service if ever needed... I have a couple. Don't shoot them as often as others, but I like heavy metal.
  7. Well... when she puts you in the doghouse. Hopfully you'll be able to go to your mancave and reload! I love loading .45. Very easy. I'm still rocking the 550.. and couldn't be happier with it.
  8. I had to jump on the bandwagon a little ways back and had stu help me set up a production gun. This after I tried sp-01 tactical. Decocker, not for me.
  9. i have smaller hands, so a lot of the time after magazine is stuffed in, (if the slide does not come forward on it's own, which it will on mine) I'll go weak hand. Strong hand I would have to sometimes turn the gun in my hand a little which would take me that much longer to get on target.
  10. That second post nailed it for me. I'm in the same boat as you. Left dominate, right handed. I have always shot right handed, and shoot both eyes open. Every once in awhile I find myself quick blinking because I switched gun to my left eye. I'll even switch to left eye sometimes as my right fatigues... I go through a match shooting both eyes... I've noticed it helps me with situational awareness.
  11. I think you were spot on with cz. I love mine. I do quite a bit of dry fire practice at home from holster. I can do it at the range, but have a downsized target I practice on here.
  12. I'd def keep browsing classifieds here. Good people great gear. SS is fun, for me. I like the encorporation of all the reloads. It makes planning out a stage more interesting.
  13. I'm a fan of the springers. I do have a smith but prefer my springers. I've only had to call customer service once and they are very good about taking care of you. The TRP is one of my favorites. The 20 lpi front strap grabs my hand just as much as I grab the gun. I don't feel any slip with it. Very reliable and well put together. I also like the internal extractor look.
  14. I love ceracoat. Great stuff. Tightened up the guns a hair and made them run smoother. I've used krylon fusion on my workhorse ar. Looks ok, serves its purpose. And Mich cheaper than ceracoat.
  15. I went with the self install as well... needless to say... stu was there to support me and hold my hand the entire way.
  16. Thinking of adding an optic to a sp01. don't want to mount to slide, So... mount to frame? or use an under rail device? I see czc has some, but the frame mounted one looks like it is only for the rts. The um3 tactical one, little bit more material than I want on bottom... Any input? drilling holes into the frame of the sp01... pretty permanent...
  17. I wonder who feeds stu so he can read, type, smith, all day long. Maybe his bench/desk seat also has a built in john
  18. Hm. Maybe I can sell a rifle quick...
  19. My experience is below that 5gr in 45 with a 230, it tends to burn a tad dirty. Once I got a little higher up on the load scale, it was cleaner.
  20. I've loaded mostly 124's, but I see many people shooting 147's for production. What are some of the advantages? I like how soft feeling the 124's feel, I normally use bullseye and unique, (I have in my stock at least) How do the 147's feel compared to 124s? Sorry op for hijack
  21. Ordered mine stock from czc, all the parts as well. Great cs, as I needed to make frequent contact on "how to". I have tinkered with rifles, and 1911's, so thought I'd give the sp-01 a try. Hammer, disco, sights, springs, polish... some fitting needed to be done It can seem overwhelming at first, but if you take your time and stay calm you should be fine doing it yourself. Lots of resources on here helped too. Picture heavy, I can say I am very very happy with my pistol, it shoots very reliably, and I take a little more personal pride in it that I have done the job.

    CZ SP-01 Phantom

I love my sp-01. Ordered it stock from czc, and did all the tuning/upgrades myself. (with much expanded knowledge from the master at czc) The weight of the gun is nice, I transitioned from single stack, I like the heft of the all steel gun. All parts I got were through czc, so still production legal, hammer, trigger, sights etc. It seems no matter the size of the hand, the grips are comfortable, however, I did put on some slim aluminum ones. I might try some vz's. I plan on ordering up my sp-01 shadow soon. And will keep my standard as my backup.
  23. Nice PR for the sport, glad it wasn't a negative news story for once. Might have to check out that range sometime. Looks like a nice spot to shoot
  24. He was probably talking to you while emailing me...
