  1. I have a complete 9 major top end for small frame I'd be willing to sell.
  2. I opened the last port way up! Also added an Alchin thumb rest, I'll give it a spin tomorrow.
  3. Gary, are you talking about DA witnesses or SAO?
  4. The three port is 9mm, I haven't put it over a chrono yet, but based my data I predict it will make major with 8-10% less powder than the V12
  5. Did you ship via common carrier to your house? or to a freight depot?
  6. I shot this three port setup today and am very pleased with initial results I think with 2-3 1/8" holes at 12 o'clock it will be a great shooter!
  7. This should help you with the terminology: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=178651
  8. A pistol like that is not Production legal, strictly speaking
  9. You'd have to cut the front dovetail for a FO sight, but this beater is cheap: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=484571286 Same thing with this one in better shape: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=484952868
  10. That is a funny looking rear sight, I have new ones for $60 shipped if you need. The firing pin stop does look like it's been drilled out, probably to combat it falling out. I might have some spares as well, let me know what you need.
  11. I'll bet dollars to doughnuts the previous owner clipped coils from the firing pin return spring in an attempt to get more reliable ignition with a light hammer spring and went a coil or two too far. What happens is this: when live firing the primer limits the forward movement of the firing pin, but the spring going fully compressed limits the forward movement when there's no case in the chamber. If too many coils are missing the spring doesn't go solid before the firing pin gets wedged in the hole in the breech face. If you look at the pin, the tip stays the same diameter for a bit of the length, then gets wider as you go back, that's the part that gets stuck. Here's what I did to get the pin in stuck when this used to happen to me: lock the slide back, insert an empty case in the chamber, release the slide with my left hand covering the back of the slide to catch the pin when it shoots out. Eric Grauffel sells a reduced powder firing pin return spring for Tanfoglio which solves this problem. Cajun Gun Works makes one for CZ, but it's not the same number of coils, so it's not compatible with Tanfolio.
  12. I have 6 or 7 Production guns so I've done about everything. The CZ dovetail is slightly larger than the standard Tanfo cut so any CZ sight can be filed to fit. I've also modified the Henning Match sight for the standard dovetail.
  13. I'm pretty sure I've owned that model of LPA for the standard sight cut and it sits really high off the slide. I prefer fixed sights for competition.
  14. I've trimmed a large frame pin for a small frame pistol, I've never tried it with a FPB though... Depending how old it is it may not have a block.
  15. If the small frame you're looking at has a plug in the bottom of the grip like a CZ (I suspect it will) then it utilizes the long hammer spring just like a CZ and will be capable of a lighter, smoother DA pull and more reliable ignition than the Stock I even without the extended firing pin
  16. Get the small frame Witness, I think you'll be at least as happy as with the Stock I. As an aside, I would get a plain Jane SP01 before I bought a new Stock I.
  17. The square edge at the bottom of the breech face on the slide can drag the next round forward, if you file this edge, it should take care of your issue:
