  1. Sean, Minds have been blown [emoji3] I had a similar experience with 124s. Only issue was at 30yards they couldn't find the paper. They were plated bullets. What was funny about the whole thing was the fact my 929 hated the bullets but 627-5 was fine with them.. Not great.. I do have some coated 125s and plan to test them soon. Mike
  2. There has a happy medium between being to tight and to loose. In my experience they create the same issue of sticking to the star. The trick is to make sure that you can rotate the brass in the moonclips but its not so loose that the round points to the center of the star. Also, I have a round honing stone that I polish center of the star. To give it an easier surface move on.
  3. Just take the stupid cap off.. There is no real reason to have it on there..
  4. Its The Communist state of Massachusetts. They also have to have a round indicator on all the guns. Think the hole on the top of the barrels of the bottom feeders. I'm not sure why the revolvers don't have to have them. Especially my New York State assault revolvers with 8 rounds Mike
  5. I've only had that problem with tight courses of fire. Mostly its the RO. It's good to shoot with buddies who watch out for you and your stuff as well. If I'm shooting with a couple of new guys I speak loudly at them even when they get close to my moonclips I don't wait. I love the shirt.

  7. I ran a 95.89 in six shot minor. (Before 8 shot was legal) For me its one of the classifiers that I will reload after six.. No sense being a paper GM.
  8. .Blue Steel Clips are .035 Thick Is what I use.. You have to figure out what brass what your planning on using. I run Federal brass
  9. Tk custom blue steel is what I use. Federal brass. Best in the business http://www.tkcustom.com/cart/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=42&cat=9mm Mike
  10. I will "lube" my cylinder holes with Mili tec. You want something that can handle the heat.. Mili tec is made to impregnate into the metal so I use that on new guns and they breaking in great. They say to bake it onto the guns parts
  11. I have a cylinder cut for 9mm that would fit your gun or you could send it to TKs to get it cut yourself.
  12. I would just like to comment on how upscale your bathroom looks next to your reloading bench.. You must be single.. My buddy had his 1050 in his kitchen.. As a single guy the 1050 got more use then the stove..
  13. I run 9mm in my 38 super. I had it cut for 9mm. Its about .002 bigger than super. You can use a 38 super sizing die or you can try a 9mm u die from lee. I use it on all my 9mm loads. You can also polish the cylinder with a honing stone from Brownells. I personally use valve lapping compound to finish the honing.
  14. What type of gun are you loading for ? Bottom feeder or revolver? I run a 1.160 4.2 wsf making a 135pf out on my 929 and it makes a 130pf out of my dash 4 super gun. Max crimp on the Lee factory crimp die.
  15. Kevin your my hero! Adults have to make adult decisions everyday and not everyone will be happy. I was there Saturday to register and shot Sunday morning and the the staff did a great job of cleaning up the mess from the storm. I guess I should/could cry about the ground not being hard enough for my cleats, the mud slowed me down, the sun not lighting up my fiber optic and the fact I got a competitive advantage for not shooting in the 90 degree heat.. But I put on my big boy under wear today and I know you and Thor had a falling out.. So I won't complain.
  16. It looks like a good deal.. 9mm is the way to go. Latham won revo Nat's with a 9mm gun last year
  17. Simplicity is key.. You reload 9mm than build a 9mm revolver. The only gun that has any issues with extraction is the 929. Its the titanium cylinder. But its any easy fix with running an long oal. (I know this.. I converted my dash 5 to a titanium cylinder and had it cut for 9mm. Same issues as the 929) Short colt, long colt, 38 special and 357 are all the same family just different case lengths. You would have to retool to reload it. When I got into revo I reloaded 9mm. so I got my revolver cut for 9mm. I used to the same ammo in my bottom feeder that I used in my revolver. The 9mm is a tapered case thats why the cylinder has to be cut. Tapered case going into a tapered hole.. Its fast and easy. TK moonclips - free federal brass and you done
  18. The barrel lengths and guns 627-5 5inch 627-4. 5.5inch 929. 6.5 Anything under 4 is not really worth it. Its funny an 8 shot revo sounds like an limited revo in icore..
  19. It depends on what level you want to shoot. If your shooting for fun a 625 will be fine but if you plan to compete at a high level an 8 shoot is the only way to go. Look at Nat's. You can count on your fingers how many 625s will be there. You have to cut the cylinder to fit 38 super. You can have it cut to fit both. It will bulge the 38 super brass. Other option you can get the gun cut for super and size 9mm with a super sizing die. Hope that helps.
  20. I would buy the performance center gun chambered in 357. So you run .356 or .357 bullets (I run 356 bullets) If you want a 627-4 in 38 super from factory your looking to spend around 1800.00 for it.. Tks can do the trigger for you when you get the cylinder cut.
  21. 627 converted to 9mm. (Tom at TK custom can do it) Or 929 but its super fickle with ammo. (I might sell mine) The 627 with the conversation will cost about the same as a 929 with none of the issues www.tkcustom.com TK custom blue moon clips with federal brass. Speed E rack with magnetic posts. Easy off the table starts You need the TK blue moon clips www.speed-e-rack.com Cr speed holster. Mike
  22. Anytime. TK moon clips and life will be great. USPSA - A57842 Revolver - M Production - A Single Stack - A
  23. Tax season... I was busy loving my moon clips... They used... A lot... I shot 400 rounds this weekend. I can tell the old ones from the new ones. I've been shooting 8 shoot revo's since there was a rumor of the change. I used to shoot ltd 10 Don't mess with your stuff just use it.
  24. I personally have both guns and a lead on another 38 super.... I am constantly tormented by the choice. Which gun to use!!??!?.. The 38 super is cut for 9mm and I refer to it as my ak of revolvers.. She runs every thing that I put through it. I run the oal. At 1.125 with 147s. Super fast reloads and extractions. The same load locks up my 929. The problem is I have worked out a lot of the issues with the 929 and really like the sight radius. I'm working on short 124 load to get the extraction issues resolved. You would be happier with a 38 super gun and a 1000.00 bucks in the bank or training budget..
