    CZ 75 Extended safety

They can be a real SOB and you will run out of hands. Here's what I do: * Put a cable tie through the hammer and loop it under the grip to hold the hammer back. * Hold the RHS safety in place with clear tape. * Lever the sear spring out of the slot and out of the way. * Hold the frame in your left hand, hammer towards you. Reach over and slide the RHS safety in with your right hand. It'll go most of the way in. Now here's the tricky part. You need to use a small pin punch to push the safety plunger out of the way whilst pushing the safety in whilst also pushing the back of the sear down a bit. The last bit is important, I find it won't go in if you don't. I discovered it after hours of trying to put the safety back in my TS with no luck. So I took the slide of my CM and looked at how it was put together and noticed the sear position was a bit different put together vs not. I haven't needed to "fit" either of my two safeties to the guns.
  2. I use graphite powder on my rifle case necks. Inside and out. No need to clean off after sizing. Used to use a brush to get it in there but brownells sell a little container with ceramic balls in it that you tip the powder into and then push the case (mouth first) into that. Does inside/outside at the same time. Easy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I've got a heap of the Whidden tool heads, both floating and non-floating. You can get then with the clamp kit pre-installed and they'll also engrave them if you ask. I mostly load on the non-floating ones because I don't shoot much rifle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Interesting about the dud rounds. I've done many thousands of rounds in either the feeder or a ziplock bag without any problems. Could have been lucky I guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. It's an Aussie thing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Haven't tried it myself but apparently hot glue works well. Put a small amount of hot glue in the seating stem, press a proji into it (you might need to lube it up. Once it dries remove the proji and the seating stem should now be a perfect fit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I spray my brass in the case feeder. Tip brass in (1000 ish), couple of squirts of One Shot, give it a bit of a stir, load away. Simple. No need to clean off after. A small can lasts for yonks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. We've been shooting .357 Sig here in Oz for a few years now after IPSC approved it for Major in Standard and Classic. As Dan said, we aren't allowed to shoot anything bigger than .38 in IPSC (although this has just changed in VIC and they are allowed up to .45 for Classic only now) so before this it was Minor only for us. There's no capacity advantage but that didn't matter for us because we're restricted to 10 rounds anyway. Most people run 2011's in Sig without any drama's with a few Glock's and CZ's. CZC sell a .40 TS with a Sig barrel. I've got one and it runs great. Sig is easy to load and a lot of shooters use .40 brass (can be normally found quite cheap as it's what our Police use). Just spray it with One Shot and load away. Most people are using heavier bullets, in the 150gn-180gn range.
  9. Load them up. She'll be right mate.... Is that Ocker enough? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I used to run lighter bullets in my Czechmate but after speaking to a top Aussie shooter who's got one I'm going to try 150gn's. He felt that it that particular gun that the heavier bullets would work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I use the DAA adjustable rest on my Czechmate. Just take the middle cmore screw out and mount it there with an extra long screw. Works great.
  12. We can use FMJ's in Oz but not on some ranges (range rule). We are restricted to 10 round mags though which sucks. Also we can't use anything bigger than .38 cal (one state has just got .45's approved for Classic only).
  13. What happened to my post? That was a legit question. Sure, maybe it was a little confronting but it was legit nonetheless.
  14. If the Safari belt is 2" then DAA make a 2" belt bracket you can buy separately.
  15. They are probably like us Terry, they should check all mags but rarely do. Out of the last 5 State Titles (our version of Area championships) I've been to (various states), only 1 checked mags. And they checked all mags. A couple of people in my squad that day got bumped to Open when not all of their mags were the same and a particular combo wouldn't fit the box or the gauge.
  16. We run .357 Sig in Standard division here in Oz (because we are not allowed to use anything bigger than .38 cal for IPSC). Most shooters load 150-180gn pills for 170+ PF. I've thought about using it in Open because we're limited to 10 round mags here anyway but it would need to be a custom build so haven't got to it at this stage. I would say 90% of Open shooters here use .38 Super or Super Comp and the rest use 9mm.
  17. This question came up on the Oz IPSC forum a little while ago. Same concept but the original reason was to give Production shooters who are having eyesight troubles something to compete in if they don't want / can't afford to compete in Open. Opinions seemed to be split reasonably evenly.
  18. The EGW is made by Lee to EGW's specs (it even comes in a Lee box). I have one and it works well for me with range pickup brass in my open gun.
