It will work just fine. I used a tac sol upper with a Quinn mount. You just have to take the top sight rib off of the .22 upper.

Get a hold of autocomp, HS-6, or Silhouette and some 124gr JHP's. Do a search for 9 major loads in the reloading section. There's a couple of threads that will have load info in them. As far as lube goes, get some mobile one motor oil and call it done. In my limited open glock experience I learned not to be afraid of the lube.

TMJ is a plated bullet. But then again so is their gold dot.

The only published load data for 9major would be with 3n38 and a 147gr FMJ/JHP. I tried this combo in a heavy 9mm EDGE and it was stout. Not sure why you'd want to load 9major in a M&P unless it's setup for open.

I sent c-more an email with a few questions. I was told that the coating on their glass was designed to reflect red not green.

I remember my first very well. Maybe it's because i've only shot USPSA three times now. I can't tell you what you should or shouldn't do other than have fun. The one thing that I remember the most from my first match in open is how much fun I had.

Maybe i'm just lucky but... I took my 170mm mag and put in a grams follower and a dawson +1 along with the now too short plastic spacer. No issues to date.

Look into Freedom Gunworks. They have a forum on here under the vendor tents section. If you are going to buy a new gun you might as well go the custom route. His lead time isn't too bad and is prices/work are great. Mine runs major and minor no problem.

If you can get a hold of some 3n38 you'd be set. I had a 147 going 1190-1200 FPS with no pressure signs.

I ran some Extreme 100gr bullets through my open gun with a KKM barrel with decent results. I had them in the 1550ish fps area and the accuracy wasn't too bad.

Shorten your OAL the difference between the 124's and the 115's. At least the case volume would be the same. I did this when going from my FMJ to JHP load and if worked great.

I accidentally got started that way and when I finally did my first USPSA I finished pretty darn good for my first time. Also depending where you are actually located, you can come shoot at my place to get some of the basics down.

+1 for the 7.7gr of Silhouette. I load mine at 1.169

I typically see a lot of guys using marinetex(?) epoxy for grip work.

Doesn't dawson have a mag catch that will prevent over insertion?
