  1. This was the best result so far running off the Ransom Rest @ 139 average power factor. Doesn't feel offensive at all in the MAX which has the brass insert in the grip along with a tungsten guide rod. Just my initial assessment........

@fireman1776This is all I see under the description on their website: I'm curious as to how/where you obtained the information in your post? Thanks!
  3. After plunking the S2O which has a short, CZ hardened chamber, I could take the Zero 147 JHP out to ~1.158. However, after plunking the Blue Bullet's 147 FP I also wanted to use, it was going to have a safe, max OAL of 1.120". I then remembered the "classic" 3.5 N320 load at 1.125" which shot excellent in the STI and other 9mm pistols, so I decided to do a ladder from 3.3g to 3.7g in 0.1g increments, and chrono from there. The 3.5g load at 1.125" showed very good results from a bench rest, so I decided to take it to the Ransom Rest. My best, consistent results are shown above. Of course, YMMV...........
  4. @Trader As long as your picture is 1.95Mb or less, you should be able to upload it via the "Drag files here to attach, or choose files...." at the bottom of the reply/post page.
  5. @BlaizeI have heard the non-Legion X5 guns had a different type of barrel fitment vs the Legion/MAX pistols; and that they were very accurate!
  6. @paltrypoultryI would highly recommend trying 3.5 of N320 with the Zero 147 JHP! OAL of 1.125”. Produces under 1” groups from my S2 Orange @ 20yds.

Jim: I have not...........however, it seems I have developed a load the stock barrel actually likes!
  8. Well, it appears the stock barrel has potential if you push it fast enough! Final check of the dot's sight-in before a match. Shot off a cheap, plastic rest sitting on the range bench. Target @ 15 yards:
  9. If you need a holster quickly that fits the Align Lever, Shooter's Connection has them in stock in one basic color combo. Quick service and shipping! I would call to simply confirm that you want the unit that's designed for the specific Align Lever. https://www.shootersconnectionstore.com/Red-Hill-Tactical-Competition-Holster-P5346.aspx

My plan is to send it first week of May and get it back by end of month; if needed…… Ill be out of pocket the entire month of May ……

IIRC, we were discussing that distance. He did confide in me that he was doing Max’s competition pistols. Bottom line, he knows what I expect and I really think he’ll deliver since he offers several “levels” of accuracy.

Since I've got the Bar-Sto barrel, I'm going to go ahead and take Robert Burke at his word since we had this early on email: After a productive phone conversation, I feel it's worth the investment. I honestly feel it couldn't get any worse than the results I'm getting with the stock barrel..............

@Racinready300ex@Boomstick303@ddc I totally agree that is poor accuracy at 10 yds.............. I did some extensive testing with the MAX in a Ransom Rest today, and the amount of variance as to where the dot (barrel) settles from shot to shot, just really had me SMH in disbelief! Shooting two different Zero 125g and the V1 PD 124, I just had very poor results running them at an "estimated" 136-137PF! Definitely had better results from a previous test using the same bullets running at 139-140PF. Everything I've tested, so far, has had at least 1-2 "flyers" that ruin an otherwise very good group. I'm truly glad that the MAX is going in for a Bar-Sto Match Grade/Gunsmith Fit barrel next month. After coming from an STI, then the S2 Orange, this P320 is way too erratic in the shot-to-shot lockup...........
  14. @chcole1 Out of curiosity, have to ask is the #6 GGP barrel chambered really short or are you using a lot longer OAL round in this particular barrel? If the round is the same as those shown in #1-#5, I would be questioning the final chamber dimensions of the GGP............
  15. Just finished installing an AC flat trigger & GG competition kit in my P320 MAX. Installed the competition sear springs and competition trigger bar spring. Brought the average pull to 2.5#. Installed the intermediate trigger bar spring and brought me right to 2# 14.4oz. Close enough to 3# to call it good!
  16. These work fine in my S2O: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FMWNGM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  17. Zero also released a 125 JHP Conical to go along with their tried and true 125 JHP. Appears Precision Delta and others are also going down that route to offer a JHP and a "conical" version. "New" Conical: http://www.rozedist.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=RZD&Product_Code=R136-A&Category_Code=ZBJ-9MM Original JHP: http://www.rozedist.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=RZD&Product_Code=R162-A&Category_Code=ZBJ-9MM I'm definitely liking these PD V1s in 124! Not sure I'd be interested in trying the V2s, but I'm sure they'll also have a following! https://www.precisiondelta.com/compare/124/250
  18. If you already have a slide caliper, a good case gauge makes it easy!
  19. I use a depth micrometer similar to this with good results: https://www.amazon.com/Depth-Micrometer-Toolmaker-Milling-Machinist/dp/B01JBDNF4O/ref=sr_1_3?crid=OEFI6TPVC42I&keywords=1"+depth+micrometer&qid=1649461184&sprefix=1+depth+micrometer%2Caps%2C57&sr=8-3 Or as @AHIsuggested, a quality digital tread depth gauge works fine also.
  20. I corrected my post above with regards to the weld on the back of the trigger bar. Trying to visualize the interaction while in a medical facility waiting room was simply too distracting! After installing the AC flat adjustable trigger in the Max, I only used the (rear) set screw that limits total travel and (trigger) travel after the striker drops. I would refer to this as "overtravel". At this time, I was not comfortable using the pre-travel screw as I didn’t want to defeat the drop safety. Also saw information that the pre-travel screw may need to be removed and re-installed anytime the trigger is removed from the FCU. (cleaning, etc.) Since a similar set screw is probably not doable on the back of the trigger bar, it appears TSA and Edmond are substituting a weld which IMO is reducing trigger “take-up” prior to hitting the wall. Again, I think the "clip" used by Tactical Triggers that's placed on the rear of the sear housing is another way to accomplish the same thing with regards to the trigger bar weld. It also appears the reset (distance) is directly affected by the "thickness" of the sear leg; while creep is reduced/smoothed by polishing of the contact point. As I'm still in the learning phase of the P320 platform, I welcome any discussion or correction to my understanding!
  21. IMO, a solid/tactical/adjustable way to deal with too much "take-up" prior to the wall….. I think the Sig Mechanics video above does a good job of representing this. Sig Guy also does a video on the primary results of his TSA competition job. Very interesting for the mechanically inclined……
  22. This was in an email directly from Robert himself! I’m sure if you inquire directly with him you can also confirm or dispel the “rumor”.
  23. From the "horses mouth".............. Indeed our over the counter kit should be ready in 2 to 3 weeks. We will also have the welded up trigger bar and our own trigger available.
  24. IMO.... It appears to my untrained eye that springs of varying thickness are being used to take up the slack/overtravel/pretravel in the P320 trigger system. IIRC, Apex was offering aluminum sleeves of varying thicknesses to take out the overtravel in the trigger by slipping one over the trigger stop pin. And I feel confident from watching about 20 minutes of the longer video, that the "clip" slipped onto the sear cage is simply limiting pretravel (take-up) of the trigger bar. I think he calls it the pretravel stop. I would have to say, if your unsure of investing in this kit, to take a look at Edmond's excellent video that gives some great insight into some of the modifications done to the trigger, trigger bar, and sear by The Sig Armorer in his Custom Competition Kit: Also there's solid rumors that The Sig Armorer will be releasing his own Competition Trigger Kits in the next 2-3 weeks. Plus the welded trigger bar and competition triggers will be available separately. I'm definitely not bashing Tactical Trigger's kits and parts that I'm sure are working as advertised for shooters as posted above! Just that there's some very interesting options that are in the works for those that want other options!
