  1. Ok folks, the Thunder Shooters 3g match in Conroe was a good time for a local match. The folks there were open and friendly and the 5 COF were quick and fun. The COF are not very long and open, 60 yds was the longest shot but I think they do well to work within those constraints. The match ran pretty fast and we were done in about three hours with about 24 shooters in three squads. The folks that are in the Thunder Shooters club were very friendly and they ran a good little match for 25 bucks. There were no attitudes or any issues from any of the folks I ran into there. Just a good group of folks shooting a little 3G. The facility there is pretty nice and the bays we shot in we're at the back of the range. I believe with the nice facilities and set up this place has, there is great potential to grow their 3G matches in both size and level of difficulty
  2. Well I'm packing up and heading out to give it a go. I'll let y'all know what it was like. Not expecting the world but since I had to miss the last CCC and west hou I need to run and gun on something. Ps don't know about the Magnolia misfits but it look to be mainly cowboy shooting.
  3. Anyone shoot this match? http://www.thundergunrange.com/events.html It says LSSA 3 gun at thunder range in Conroe. Have shot west hou and CCC but never this match. Is it worth it or reasonably decent?
  4. I just took my rolling thunder and drilled the side gas hole opposite the one it came with and tapped and plugged the right handed hole. Tune to suit.
  5. I'm bummed I missed this latest match at CCC. Its only going to get hotter out there. Damn rigs down taking up my mornings this long weekend.
  6. CCC is the place for for Houston area 3 gun. The course is set up with some really dynamic challenge. Longs shots are required but it makes you work a little harder since you can't pass it up. Fred does a good job of calling your shots and guys with iron sights are having no problem hitting out to 500. Shotgun stages are set up well with a nice long jungle run. Loan on a lot of moving running and wide open shooting scenarios. I. Would wager that CCC is the best 3G shoot around Houston that compares to major course of fire.
  7. That is a hideous contraption. That's all I have to say about that.
  8. Fred posted May26th at CCC 3G. I'd love to make it but probably have graduation duties with wife's relatives
  9. 28 rd Chameleon belt arrived today 2 May. Ordered it 22 April. That's pretty fast delivery folks!
  10. One answer and one question. If you have a shell hanging on the right side of the chamber you can blend back the sharp edge of the right side of the chamber with the barrel removed. Your shell should indicate this hanging with a sharp notch cut into the edge of the crimp. I have the same problem with the shell latch not feeding a shell with 9 in the tube. I have removed the inner spring, cut the U a little bigger and polished the hell out of the latch. I thinking I should put that spring back or cut a little off the mag tube spring. Right now running +1 roulette ext with stock mag spring. Which way should I go to get reliable shell latch release with 9 in the tube?
  11. 500 this weekends match wasn't too hard but 300-400 had me almost par out.
  12. Here is the slomo fatboy edition on 8 stages. Some pretty good rookie errors but a fun day at CCC
  13. Great match today folks, got In 10 stages in one one day. Big thanks to the ROs, score keepers, Bob and Fred. All in all a really well run match. .
  14. Cool, I found it on my app. Just got back from the range and set it about .75" high at 100. That ought to get me a close 200 zero. We will see how we'll the Indian does at 400-500 this weekend.
  15. Thanks for the feedback Austinwolv. Can you tell me a little more about this trying feature? I have istrelock for my iPad but do not see this feature.
  16. Just moved from a MTAC to a RazorHD and man what a difference. Also have gone from 100yd matches to 500+yd shoots and will appreciate the difference.
  17. Got my green flames +1 on my zombie max. Thanks Glenn! And thanks for the extra goodies, I'm going to make sure they go to a good home for some good advertising for Roulette.
  18. Stages have been posted. http://www.lssa.us/Portals/2/LSSAimages/10%20stages.pdf A little rough on presentation but will be fast and fun none the less. Get your rifle dialed in, it's going to be a full day. I mean that in a good way.
  19. The Jm reticle on the razor gen II 1x6 states it is based on a 200yd zero. Shooting factory 55gr FMJ .223 out of a 20" criterion barrel If one only has a 100yd range can you predict what 200yd zero for sighting purposes? If I'm reading istrelock correctly at 100yds I should be shooting -.94" or almost 1 inch high with the scope centered. Is my method of thinking correct or should I stick with 100yds zero. The purpose of shooting will be 3G with some shots running 500-600 and a lot of 100-300
