  1. CCI 400 the way go to for my 223 works exlent and easy to find never have any issue with slam fire. Powder Vally have it most of the time.
  2. I get mine from Widners they have a good deal on LC brass every now and then all 2014 head stamped very clean but you have to remove the primer crimp. Then shoot once to fire form it then re size and trim. I usually get at least 8 firing of it. Mild load for my AR 15 RR varmint 24" .
  3. AustinT that was the first thing I did I talked to Jermy at SS he told me what MickB mentioned above about how thin they are at the thread area. But I seen couple of guys runing them on the M2 and still holding ok so far. So I will PM BrianATL to see if the one he have is +2 and if it is in good shap or it need more than rattle can of black paint to make it work. Thank you all for the input
  4. Nice work and good thinking leath4M. You can do mirracle with JB weld. I been thinking of using MarinTex and spong for the texture I did that on my long range precison rig it worked very well.
  5. Be able to change recoil spring fast and match or tune the spring to you preference.
  6. Hello all Any one can tell me who sell the Roullet Tactical 2 shell extender that fits the old style NC mag extension? I tryed to google them but looks like they no longer in business. Or if someone have one and want to get rid of it please PM me. Thanks
  7. You might want to look at Dawson Precision also they come complet with spring solid fit to the mag body and very easy to remove to clean the mag I have few I like them.mine are + 5 somehow.
  8. Many years ago like back in 1999 I purchase Para P16 limited and when I tryed to shoot it the slides would not run as it suppose to and i have to run the slide by hand every round it was paper wight I was very upset because high $ pistol that don't work. I called Para and they told me I need to keep shooting and eventually will break in so I called a friend of mine who worked in undisclosed RD aviation lab in developing things he don't talk much about,he give me a lapping compund in 2 very small syringes one is Red and the other is Blue in color I put some of the red first as he advised me on the frame and the slide rails I cycled them by hand 10 times then i cleaned both and they felt better repeat with the red agin but this time cycle 5 times only the fit was jus perfect no play and it runs smoth so I used the blue and 10 cycle of the slide cleaned and test the slide to frame fit was like gliding on roller bearing. That gun never jammed again and I shot with it about 10000 round before I sold it and the fit is perfect no sign of wear or any play So I believe in lapping for final fit I think the The Red and Blue compound can be found at MSC but I am not sure if it is the same grade and qulity stuff like he brought to me
  9. Very nice trriger. Grendel thanks for link I never seen this before very interesting and radical design.
  10. I agree with Old3GNR for many years and it is proven that Varget + 175 SMK are the combo for 308 Win. Primers he is correct BR-2 is good but with my 308 I been lucky I can use what I get my hands on and still shoots bug holes. Sadly Varget is hard to come by these days amd my supply running short, so I got my hand on some IMR 4064 to see how it going to work. Keep in mind 168 SMK is good also and very forgiving, but based on other shooters not as the 175 SMK for past 600 yard.
  11. KKM the way to go and that based on recomendations of most shooters I talk to. On the other hand just to be fair for LW we did a test. On my G35 gen 4 for some reason I went with LW conversion to 9 mm and a friend have G34 gen 4 with KKM 9 mm installed, using the same load both pistol have The same DP front and rear sight from sand bags on the bench 25 yard both shoot the same under 2 to 2.5". Also both were easy to clean after the same amount of rounds fired. Just like Krieger or Obermeyer rifle barrels both are top notch, bottom line is who cut the chamber, threaded, crown and the fit to the action. I hope I did not offend any one with the above.
  12. Thanks for the input, I will test tomorrow in the range and hopefully they will run good
  13. Good evening all I just received few STI 140 mm mag tube body 40 S&W and Dawson Precision base pads +1 SNL new never been used. After I put them together using Gram spring and flower the base pad feel lose on the tube. Is this normal or I am missing something? The reason I am asking using DP extender + 5 on my Glock mag they feel very solid. I know this apple and oranges but not much experence with STI yet. By the way I can load 20 in the mag they function very good with dumy rounds so far. Thanks
  14. 34 you can't go wrong. Parts easy to get and if you are in a match and some small part break or lost the other shooters might have spares to keep in the game. A set of a good sights like DP have and few mag extended base pads if you like. Also as RangerTrace mention you already carry Glock and used to it.
  15. 4.5 +lbs on my brand new 2011 Tactical 5.0 I was hopping less from STI.
  16. I use the ice alumnium one and it is realy great design and very good fit and solid to the pistol grip. By the way my Glock is gen 4 I use the mid size one
  17. I wonder if they still busy from the shoot show in Vegas. I called them a week and a half ago they answered the phone quicly and the gentelman told me what I did not want to hear. Then I posted my question on here BE forum I got the answer I like to hear.
  18. Good sight like DP adj rear FO for the front and shoot for awhile have fun with it and get use to it then decide what next.
  19. PM me your address I will send you few to try. Or you can order 100 from them just for testing they sell bag of 100. They have the best prices much better than Than MG to me. Me and couple of my friends we are about to place a big order.
  20. You are welcome Swanny10 I see we're you are coming from regards the saving which is very uderstandabel. For me I saw the defrence in performance comparing Rainer and Berry bullets to the use of precision Delta in my pistol, it was day and night that's all what I could say. Regards the TG nothing wrong with it, all what I advised above is to be carful when you are charging the cases and make sure you use the correct charge, go to Hodgdon web site and use the recomended data listed for the cartridge. Be safe and have fun.
