  1. the lube does not help, but it can still be done. depends on how much lube you use I guess and the type of marker. I lightly lube my case using Dillon case lube and am still able to mark lines with the sharpie pens. saul
  2. Hey guys, Thank you for your positive feedback! Do you mind write up a few reviews directly on our website as it is there where people also look for some useful information. With your permission I can copy the reviews above but it is best if you done it yourselves To write up a review, click on the reviews tab here: https://www.doublealpha.biz/us/double-alpha-automatic-brass-marker Thanks, Double Alpha Team.
  3. Hi Guys, All the pouches, since after the very first batch, have shipped with the shorter screw and steel ball in the ball joint. with that setup, very few have experienced any issue, so long as the screw is tight. I recommend a little locktite in the screw to keep it that way, once you know the position you like. if anyone has a pouch causing them problems and he does not have that small steel ball and shorter screw, just contact us as DAA, and we will gladly send the parts out free of charge. email us at daa(at)doublealpha.biz thanks, and shoot well! Saul Kirsch.
  4. Hi All, Saul Kirsch here, from DAA. Let me try and shed some light on this discussion: The very first batch of pouches shipped out with a design that we found worked great in testing, but, later, in production, found (after shipping a few hundred) that in some cases the tolerances in the dimensions of the rail on the pouch body, and the dovetail on the ball joint, made it very difficult to lock up securely. The solution to this issue, was an improvement we have used before on other products – a hardened steel ball bearing added into the design of the ball joint, under a shorter screw. This design works much better as the ball bearing functions to expand the dovetail on the ball wider and easier that just the screw would. As soon as we realized this issue- we updated all the stock we had (and sent parts out to distributors asking them to update stock), to make sure that all the product we shipped out from that point on would include this ball bearing upgrade. That update was completed early August, but I cannot be 100% sure all our stocking dealers updated their stock with the parts we sent them. This is not to say that ALL the pouches without the ball have any potential issue – only some of them. 10-20% I feel. And then that still depended on how they were locked up and in what location on the pouch body. After these balls were added (and another 3000 or so pouches shipped out and are being used) we have had just one or two issues of a pouch not being able to lock up. I am very confident now that with the ball added, the design is solid and these pouches lock up as they should – IF ENOUGH FORCE IS APPLIED TO THE SCREW. In discussions with customers who had these coming loose (in the updated model), some said they felt they had tightened it as much as they should –I then asked them to tighten it as must as they COULD, and once they did that – no more issues. There are simpler ways, of course, to attach a pouch body to a hanger. And I thought long and hard about this design, testing it extensively. There are some very nice advantages to this concept: Not having the screw mounted through the side wall allows the inner spacers to be replaced without dismantling the pouch. and, the several mounting points in the logos and back slots add great positioning versatility. If anyone has any questions or comments, always feel free to reach out to me directly at daa(at)doublealpha.biz Thanks, Saul
  5. Hi, If you want to fit your Race Master to the CZ TS, select the SP01 model and follow these instructions: Nowadays the holsters are all magnetic so disassembling is a little different to the above: Hope it helps. Thanks, Eli.
  6. Before your order for the quad loaders - check out our brand new ones here: http://www.doublealpha.biz/daa-quad-loader or Twin loaders here: http://www.doublealpha.biz/daa-twin-quad-loader
  7. Hi Aimtrue, Thanks for posting about our Alpha Rail system. I just wanted to address your comment about "nothing fits, not even their own gear" the Alpha rail includes our Spacer plate, as used in most of our pouches (standard on all our Racer, SS Racer, Magnetic and so on) it is a drop-on fit to those. But please note - you can certainly use the Alpha rail mount WITHOUT that spacer plate. that is how we intended it to be used with our Race Master aluminum pouches, or other gear as you have done. simply removing that spacer disc will allow you to use the central screw through your gear mounting hole - and, that's it (it's an M5 thread, should you prefer to use another screw). no fitting required. IF you find you have an issue with that that screw loosening and the mounted equipment rotating, that can easily be solved by using a serrated washer or a rubber washer between the piece of gear and the outer part of our Alpha rail attachment. Hope this helps. thanks Saul DAA.
  8. Thank you guys for all the positive comments. Should anyone need further help, do drop us an email to daa@doublealpha.biz and we will try to assist. Thanks, Eli.
  9. Hi All, I want thank those sharing their positive shopping experience at doublealpha.biz. While we are based in the Netherlands, we do our best to offer the fastest and cheapest possible service to the USA, and have seen a steady growth in our US retail business over the past couple of years. We are also now taking early steps with the goal of setting up a local US entity and fulfillment center in order to further improve the shopping experience for our US based customers. I feel I must address the credit card theft mentioned by a couple of people in this thread. Any time you type your credit card details on a keyboard, you are running a risk. There is a whole criminal industry out there making millions (or is it billions?!) by stealing our card info. That is why we all carry insurance for such situations, provided by all credit card providers. Double-Alpha academy takes this matter very seriously indeed, and I doubt that there is another website in our sport that spends as much time, effort and money on the quality, security and capabilities of their online presence. We spend each month thousands of dollars with a leading website development/security firm on website upgrades, scans and features. Our site is constantly monitored for hacks, malicious code, viruses or other attempts of a security breach. This is a constant ongoing effort, one which I doubt many in our industry take to the same degree. We process daily over 70 credit cards, and make every effort to assure the security of our customer’s data. I assure you that you can feel very secure when shopping on doublealpha.biz! And if you prefer not to use your Credit Card, well, there is always Paypal… I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and best wishes for the new year! Best Regards, Saul Kirsch General Manager Double-Alpha Academy B.V.
  10. Good to hear. Any questions, drop us a line.
  11. This is pretty accurate. The reading on your SM when using Spy Mode is very close to the RO's time, a matter of a few hundreds of a second if your reaction time is set property on the device. Try starting at 0.20sec and work your way from there. Sensitivity wise, there is nothing to mess around with if you are the shooter using the SM. Since the SM is on your wrist, use sensitivity Min when shooting 9mm and up. Thanks, Eli.
  12. guys, just so you know, we now offer an insert custom made for the 2011 PT frame. works perfectly and used by PT's own shooting team. saul
  13. Thank you for all the great feedback. We do our best
  14. Hi, The "lock" mode serves no purpose whatsoever. It is tricky to get it locked, but possible. Again, it serves no real purpose so I would just leave it unlocked. You need to charge the timer for 4 hours straight before starting to use it. Battery indicator could be misleading occasionally. Let me know if you have any other questions. Eli.
  15. I had issues with the battery reading 1%. I tried 4 different cables to find one that held a charge. I think the trick is to use a cable that will hold a charge prior to flash. I flashed three consecutive times with a cable that read and flashed using that line. Firmware updates are my nightmare, but this worked.... Hi All, You should note that there are two types of these USB cables - one for charge only and the other is for Data. Trying to Flash your SM with a charge cable will be indeed a nightmare since it will never happen. You need a Data cable to Flash the device. Hope it helps, Eli. for further questions - email me directly at eli@doublealpha.biz
  16. Data can be resent by holding the Rev button for approx. 1 sec. It will then resend either the last shot or the entire string of fire depending on the settings you opted for.
  17. Here: http://www.shotmaxx.com/support/ Make sure you read the manual to avoid some questions later Thank you all for the comments, really nice to hear that you guys are enjoying the SHOTMAXX. See you at the WS.
  18. Hi Bill, Sure, shoot me an email with your thoughts. eli@doublealpha.biz Thanks, Eli.
  19. No, not really. There were dozens of tweaks and changes made to increase stability and performance. Stuff "under the hood"
  20. I think I've got one of the bad sound wafers. Mine is only a couple weeks old, white face model. Dry fire practice and the beep started to buzz. If I hold it at a different angle the buzz changes tone a little...very mechanical sounding. Eli, I'll send you an email to see if those symptoms match what you know. I understand you got it sorted out? Thanks, Eli.
  21. Noted and done. Revision history was updated. Thanks for pointing it out.
  22. Hi guys, There was a problem with the links. I believe this has been sorted now? Thanks, Eli.
  23. Hello everyone - please update your SM timer with the newly released firmware available at the bottom of this page: http://www.doublealpha.biz/shotmaxx/shotmaxx-shot-timer THIS IS A CRITICAL UPDATE - everyone must re-flash their SM timer with the latest version 3085. The user manual has been updated as well - ensure you go through it before emailing us with your questions. Most things can be resolved by reading the manual. NOTE: since this release incorporates new communication protocol, your existing apps for the SM will not work UNTIL THE DEVELOPERS RELEASE AN UPDATE which will most probably take place in the next week or so. We will send out a mailing list detailing what has been done with the latest version so please make sure you are listed on www.doublealpha.biz and your are set to receive our newsletter. As always, feel free to email me with any questions you may have at eli@doublealpha.biz Thanks, Eli.
  24. The timer would pickup sub 0.60sec shots but not in Airsoft or Max sensitivity modes which are not the right settings anyway for large bore.
