  1. Hi, You can send individual shots to the application but holding down the light and the rev button until the feedback beep sounds. This will transmit all the shots you have fired to the app and you can export directly from that screen. Note that you can make text comments on each shot fired. At the moment you can only create drills within the application. Thanks, Eli.
  2. Since there are endless drill possibilities, we leave that to the shooters. That said, the application can be synced to a dropbox account. We at DAA might add some drills to a "public" account and share that account. Problem is that if anyone removes or edits those drills, it will be edited across the board. I will discuss with Adam from on-core. Drill variations - if you make a change to a drill, target distance, no. of targets etc - you essentially create a new drill. Thanks, Eli.
  3. They take a little bit to put out the "search" keywords on new apps. That is why I put up the directly link earlier. It looks like it is searchable now. I see it now, thanks. Gotta say I'm a bit reluctant to get the app when I don't have the Bluetooth connectivity figured out but good to see the app is there. I just sent you an email earlier today. See if the new firmware helps. Let me know - eli@doublealpha.biz Thanks, Eli.
  4. Yes, the app is out: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/shotmaxx-trainer/id824446059?ls=1&mt=8 Enjoy! Thanks to Adam from On-Core and his team for developing an awesome app. Eli.
  5. Can you provide some information on what you saw in the beta version of the app? Would love to know what's coming. Here it is: Double-Alpha Academy and On-Core Software are proud to bring you the SHOTMAXX Trainer. This advanced new app is the perfect tool to keep track of your IPSC/USPSA/IDPA training sessions. Designed to allow you to record your time and points of every practice string that you shoot, the SHOTMAXX Trainer provides you with the tools you need to keep accurate logs of your training sessions and maximize the effectiveness of your practice. With the SHOTMAXX Trainer you can create drills, enter and save shooter’s details, record total scores or individual target hits. It allows you to enter the time manually, or, links by Bluetooth to the DAA SHOTMAXX timer to automatically receive the individual split times of each shot fired. You can then enter comments related to each shot if needed. With SHOTMAXX Trainer you can create a training session with an unlimited number of shooters and drills. You can record your sessions and then share the results by email, Facebook or utilizing the Dropbox cloud feature. SHOTMAXX Trainer features include: • Track training sessions for one or more shooters. • Enter Drill details and include a picture of the drill for future setup convenience. • All IPSC divisions are available to choose from – or you can add additional divisions/categories of your own. · Double-Alpha SHOTMAXX timer integration. Split times can be received vie Bluetooth directly from your SHOTMAXX timer, or entered manually. Note: an iPad 2 or newer is required to communicate with the ShotMaxx Bluetooth timer. Any iPhone or iPod Touch with iOS 6 or greater is also supported. • Times can be entered manually via a big button keypad. • iOS devices can be backed up and synchronized using the Dropbox Cloud. • Sessions will keep track of your score, shot time and hit factor. • You will be able to sort the results per sessions, sorting by name, time, points or hit-factor. · You will be able to enter comments regarding individual split times, to record information about a particular shot. · Drill scores can be entered as one result (95/100 for example) or using the individual Target scoring table, which allows you to enter the hits on each target. That sounds great. Any updates on when this will be available? Thanks Apple will hopefully approve it today

  8. Yep, that should not be a problem as long as the charger you use has decent quality. Apple's stuff seems OK. Try avoiding some 1-dollar chargers since they may output some unwanted spikes that might damage the internal circuitry.
  9. Sorry, but all Start beep times are set to 0.6sec. This is the reason why the par time cannot be set shorter than that.
  10. Right, guess Im not as literate as most. Im glad they helped me thru. But even reading and understanding the instructions took me a lot of work to finally figure them out. Im more in the 'net w/ apps readily used than other computer tasks. Yes now I know howto unzip On another note, whats w/ the Filter Settings? How does it affect the timer performance? See my gripe were not without basis. The Accelerometer settings were in the manual but how it works was not mentioned. You have to view the online video to know it. And/or read thru this great forum to know it. Another one is the diagram of the icons, while detailed enough, it does not label the xternal buttons in the manual, ie, Mode, Set, Rev, etc. The first time I read the manual, I had to squint HARD to the tiny labels for these buttons in the timer. Im far sighted w/ reading glasses and had a hard time reading these labels. Im not bad w/ manuals and electronic devices but this one intimedated me at first. But after painstaking learning its usage, it was as simple as any timer I used even w/ its great features. This is why I made those comments above. And Im not alone in this. Read thru previous 5 pages of this topic and see. I guess my point is, those manuals (usage and FW) does not do justice to the great features of this device A full user manual is on its way. Give us a week or so to upload. It is being proof-read right now. Thanks, Eli.
  11. Glad to see that you have worked it out. Thanks ktm300 for your advice. All the best, Eli.
  12. Settings depends on the shooting range. that said, since you are using Spy Mode which means that you time yourself - you can set the timer as follows: - Sensitivity: Min (or Airsoft if you use airsoft). - Sensor: Acc No other setting is needed. Let me know how it goes. Thanks, Eli.
  13. Hello everyone, we do have firmware update instructions on the website which can be downloaded in a PDF format. Nevertheless, I am attaching it here. Installation of new SHOTMAXX firmware (windows), detailed steps: 1. Check if your system is 32 or 64 bit. This determines which files you need to run. Files ending with x64 are for a 64bit machines while files ending with x86 are for 32bit machines. 2. Download the CP210x Windows VCP driver and install the proper 32 or 64 bit driver for your system. http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/pages/usbtouartbridgevcpdrivers.aspx 3. Download the Windows “BurnShotMaxx_Win_xx.zip” app and Unzip the Zip file into a single folder on your PC. 4. Run the “setup.exe” and follow the instructions. The installer may prompt you to install Microsoft’s .NET 4 software if needed. After it has finished installing you can delete the “BurnShotMaxx_Win_nn” folder. It will automatically launch the app after installing, so skip to step 6. Note: Once installed, if there is a new update available, it will prompt you to update when you launch the app. 5. From the Start menu, choose Programs -> Double-Alpha Academy BV -> BurnShotMaxx to launch the program. 6. Connect SHOTMAXX to the PC via the USB cable and the dialog box should now show “Found”. 7. Click “Browse” to select the new Firmware file that you have download from the Double-Alpha website (you may need to unzip the file so it ends with .txt) and then click on the “Update Firmware” button. Please wait while the software is updated. DO NOT unplug the watch until finished (it should not take longer than 10 seconds). Once complete, the watch should display the new version of software on the screen. You can unplug your SHOTMAXX at that point. However you may want to allow the Shotmaxx to fully recharge. Press the Mode button to show the Charging screen and allow the ShotMaxx to reach 100% for full capacity. Please note: 1. Steps 1 to 4 need to be done one time only per computer. In future updates on the same computer, you can skip these steps and go straight to step 5. ----- You need to download the firmware zip file, unzip it on your computer and use that file for the Shotmaxx firmware updater program. How to unzip a file: https://answers.stanford.edu/solution/how-do-i-zip-and-unzip-files-and-folders-do-i-need-winzip-or-stuffit
  14. We are working on a new Shotmaxx-Trainer app for iPhone/iPad which allows you to record your training sessions or for that matter match stages including photos, scoring, commenting, FB posting etc. Should be made available in the next 4-6 weeks I am hoping.
  15. Hi Bill, The very first iPad app has been released and it is called Steel Scoring - available on iTunes free. Check it out. You will need to update your timer's firmware though, I will upload the files tomorrow (it resolves a freeze up bug we found earlier which relates to the BT). Or email me directly at eli@doublealpha.biz and I will send you the file. Thanks, Eli.
  16. How to use Spy Mode: - In Timer Mode, press the Set button (9 times) until you reach Spy = OFF. Turn it on by press the up or down buttons to set it to ON. - Press the Mode button to return to Timer Mode (exit settings). - SHOTMAXX will show SPY - - - Press the Start button. The display will show SPYon which means that the Spy Mode has been activated. You now have 3 seconds to assume the start position. After 3 seconds SHOTMAXX is ready to start upon a sharp movement of your hand. Once it has been activated, the display will show SPY only. Once you make a sharp movement with your hands (reacting to the RO’s start beep) your shotmaxx will start running and record all shots being fired. Hope it helps, Eli.
  17. I am not sure I follow what you mean about canting inwards towards you hip. you mean the top of the gun? look to see if the full bend in the kydex body is really required or if you can straighten it out a little. that will bring the rail to be more parallel and get you more range of adjustment.
  18. HI All Thanks for your comments and feedback. I realize some are having issues adjusting the PDR-PRO holsters, and I would like to address these comments here: When we tested, we concluded that the 1911 model would be legal for USPSA SS rules, with the ball in the lowest position on the rail, but it seems it is only marginally so. Only if the gun is tilted at a particular angle, which is, of course, not good. It seems there is some variance caused by the type of gun used and how it sits in the holster body which affects this height issue as well. We have since come up with a very simply solution to this matter – which allows you to extend the range of the rail almost another full inch, enough to make the holster comfortably legal for SS USPSA. Simply by using the lower screw which holds the rail in place as a stopping screw as well (by using a longer screw and some washers) you can lower the ball further, – and thus raise the holster. We have tested and found this to be a good solution. (see picture) As soon as the problem and the solution became apparent we modified all the 1911 holsters, shipping them out like this. For those who are facing this issue, and did not get the modified screw/washer setup on their PDR-PRO – simply email me at daa@doublealpha.biz with your address and request these parts. We will gladly send them out immediately free of charge. As for the limited range and distance from the belt. In the 1911, and some other holster models, you will note that there is a large bend in the Kydex at the top of the holster body (on the rail side). This frees up space on the gun’s side for wider safeties, but it also creates the problem of angling the rail – tilting it towards the body at the top – which means the gun is tilted away when the rail is vertical. This is why the range of the ball is “wasted” simply to get the rail to the vertical and bring the gun close enough. Thus some users have found they had to use all the range of the ball joint to get the gun legal. One possible fix to increase the range available is to see if that much bend in the Kydex of the holster is really necessary for your gun. For many guns a slighter bend will do. If your gun seems to have space between its left side and the top of the holster body – you can easily bend the Kydex straighter, which will serve to bring the gun much closer when assembled. Kydex can very easily be manipulated when heated a little. This can be done with a heat gun, or even a hair dryer. Another option is to place a couple of washers beneath the rail on the lower connection screw This serves again to make the rail more parallel to the gun, and will then bring the grip of the gun closer to the body, and allow more of the adjustability the ball offers to be used. thanks, Saul
  19. We are working on our first application - training journal. Stay tuned
  20. Sperman - what gun model are you trying to use with this holster? What PDR-PRO holster model is this? I am guessing an CZ SP01?
  21. The True Spy Mode is available with the new firmware version.
  22. Press and hold the Set button when in Custom Delay to change delay time.
  23. Reaction time does not work in Airsoft mode since the microphone is setup very sensitive - it will pick up its own beep so we had to disable recoding shots while the timer beeps.
