  4. Not looking a gift horse in the month or anything but I just received a few cases of 124g JHP's and was billed $368.00/case instead of $340.00. Anyone else get a price increase?
  5. Jaxshooter, I'm in SW Florida and heading North for the weekend to Ocala. Drop me an email at Allen@livinginswflorida.com

  8. Just bought one of these for Christmas and wondering if anyone has any experience with it? I don't think it is quite what I'm looking for so I think I'm going to sell it for $25.00. Anyone have any experience with this magwell? Hope it is OK to post a link to show what I'm talking about if not let me know and I'll change it. http://www.smartlock...humbMagwell.htm
  9. Well, as of today I'm testing a Warren tactical rear (.140W notch) and F/O .180 X .115W Front and have another set of 10-8 .100W X .160H Front as I wanted to try to lower high to raise the POI. I like a .100 front sight but I'm thinking that the .100 front .140W rear will be too much space for me but I'll test it. Next, I'm going to test a set of Trijicon HD's to compare again the Tru Glo's and sevela others. Not clear if these have tritium vials or paint like the HK's.
  10. Without starting a "discussion" I have found the best powder on all accounts for 9mm minor is VV N320. For 147 BB plated & MG 147g I use 3.6 - 3.8g, for 124g MG 4.3g, MP9 Pro. Soft, clean and accurate with 5 all touching at 20 yards.
  11. Yes the 55g FMJBT has a boat tail. I have not seen or heard anything about the 50g HP. Anyone? How do the MG 55g FMJBT compare to the Hornady 55g FMJBT Match?
  12. Did you ever email these photos as I never got them and was going to mod my this week.
  13. 55g Hornady or MG FMJ in Colt 16" 1:7 OBR I looking to get a general consensus of what one or two powder, load & OAL combination are getting the best accuracy out to 100-300 @ 2800 - 2900 for you guys. I know there are a lot of combinations as well as info scattered around but I need to load 10k for 100-200 yard and would like to get an overall opinion on your experience. CF223, H335, TAC, Varget, BLC-2
  14. I use a head case gauge to measure fired cartridge then set the die to back the neck up .002. Lube using Dillion lube with shells placed neck up in case holder sprayed in box method. Tool head #1: Dillion full length sizing/decap/ball-expand die set a little high so trim die will have sizing to do. This cleans up the neck/case-mouth. Station 4 -- Dillion Trimmer. No need to debur or chamfer. Tumble clean Swedge Tool Head #2: Universal decapper in S1 to make sure the flash hole was clear, Primer & Powder in S2, Bullet in S4, Crimp S5 So are you guys sizing with the Full length sizing die or the trimmer die?
  15. I would start with a Dawson .125 front. The 10-8 rear is .156 wide I believe, and with a .100 front there is a lot of real estate there (.056). Then I would try the Dawson adjustable rear which is .140W which would narrow your sight picture even further (.015) and give you adjustability. I used the DP adjustable rear .125W, on an MP 9 Pro, with their recommended .305T X .100W F/O front (.025 difference)and still had 2mm lower adjustment on the rear sight so could have gone much shorter in the front and I found, for me anyway, that the .305 was way too much vertical room in the sight picture with the height of front sight and I wish I would have gone with maybe a .115W front. I like the bottom of the rear notch to be at the bottom of the front sight with a proper sight picture. Plus for my needs the adjustable rear would move (I even had it come completely unscrewed doing reaction hand knee pinch reloads/chambering) during tactical reloading/chambering drills using pouches, pants, belt, the ground, or other objects to chamber against. So....I removed my DP adjustable and went with fixed Warren rear .150W and DP .115 F/O X .185T front (.035 difference) but I have a 10-8 .100 X .165T front on the way and a 10-8 rear on order plus a DP rear on stand by just in case I don't like the round Warren. At 20 yards the DP adjustable with .125W notch and DP front with .100W X .305T shoots 5 shot 1" groups at 20 yards and I can be fast with them but I don't like to hunt up and down the front post. Hope this helps.
  16. Thanks, that may be easier than lubing all the brass. I'll see how it works. Always use One shot on pistol and Dillion lube on rifle and you'll be golden. All you have to do is put 5-7 handfuls of brass in a zip lock, lay it on the table and spray a 5 second blast in the bag, shack to distribute and pour, Easy and smooooooooth.
  17. I thought that I would post this for anyone who may be in the market or considering a new tumbler. For what it is worth I tried several different tumblers by a variety of manufactures but hands down, everything form the quality of construction, the performance, the service, the warrantee, is at least twice that of any competitor. The Dillion is so far superior and worth the extra investment. I bought the large one and couldn't be happier. I purchased the Berry's Bullets media separator and wish I now had purchased the Dillion as I'm sure it would be better but I thought not having a top, which keeps down the dust, and then being able to place the separator on/over a bucket would be a plus which it most likely would if I opened up the bottom so media could just drop through but I have to do two dumps from every one tumbler load which is a pain. The one thing that makes life better is to have a second lid with one section cut out so you can exchange lids to pour our the contents instead of scooping it out and making a mess. A lid from Dillion with a removable or hinged section of the lid would be gold. So far everything that I have purchased from Dillion has met this same satisfaction and been a blessing.
  18. I agree doing it by feel a quarter turn at at time is the best method for me as well. I then automated just to speed it up a bit. Excuse the fumbles, the video was used just to illustrate the mode and was a little awkward to use while videoing at the angle to give a clear shot. Would you be so kind to email detail photos of your medication. I tried doing one but the cable going underneath started making a grove in the unit so I disassembled it. Allen@livinginswflorida.com
  19. Just loaded 10K at 4.3g N320 @1.140 = 133PF Mp Pro 5 KKM Barrel. Shoots 5 shot groups -1" at 25 yards.
  20. The Dawson rear on my MP9 Pro came with a high .305 tall front. With POA/POI the rear sights is over .100 high meaning that the front could be made lower which I would prefer. I find having so much real estate from the bottom of the rear notch to the top of the front sight is distracting and at times takes longer when engaging multiple disappearing sub second targets. I like a front sight where the bottom of the rear notch is at the base of the front site when the tops are aligned. It is fastest for me. In my application I'm looking to change to a .200 - .245 high front hoping it would lower the rear sight farther to the slide and still allow for adjustment in both directions.
  21. Roostershooter: Not sure what In the theater of operations you were involved in where "a weapon light made a good target! But your right used improperly and at the wrong time and place they sure can, " then don't leave it on & move ;') "Then, of course, there were the weapons mounted IR lasers that were night vision compatible. But, we are talking apples and oranges here." Even with our 4 tube IR the range of view and peripheral vision are severely limited and for most QCB lights are preferred. "I don't use my M&P Pro as a carry weapon", "So, for daily practice", ......are you trying to say that night sights are brighter in day light use than F/O's? I prefer a rear notch of no greater than .140 and prefer .120, and a front of .100. The nights sights have two wide of front sight to be accurate enough. I have Trijicon sights on my MP5, FH 45 Tactical, HK 45 Tactical and Compact, P30, and several Sigg 226's, as well as a few with Tru Glows which are also bright but too wide for game guns, and probably a few others but again I was asking for a games gun and for that I prefer a thinner .100-.125 front sight. Anyone using F/O rear sights with good luck?
  22. And there is always this if you want it cut and preformed: http://www.ericwesselman.com/store/M%26P.html
  23. It's not the bang of the recoil spring which causes you to blink it is the overpressure impacting your face & eyes. Try holding your eyes forcefully open. You can experiment by covering your face or head and you'll see that you won't blink.
  24. Curious, why would you want to mix a solvent & cleaner with an oil or lubricator? Trans fluid is a solvent. They contain detergents, dispersants and surfactants (which protect and clean metal surfaces); kinematic viscosity and viscosity index improvers and modifiers, seal swell additives and agents (which extend the rotational speed range and temperature range of the additives' application); anti-foam additives and anti-oxidation compounds to inhibit oxidation and "boil-off"
