I would sadly have to admit that IPSC got Production right and USPSA could learn a few lessons there. Yes you can shoot a 40 or 45 but even here where we have the "field equalizing 10 round" 9 still rules. The difference in shooting a .40 or 45 in USPSA Production vs shooting it in Limited 10 with major scoring is??????

The 40 is one of the first ones the 9 is this years. Damn shame cause I really liked the M&P. I traded mine in for a 21sf after seeing the jams, no way I was going to bet my life on it working 100%. Hopefully Smith has found a cure but I'll wait to see.

Well dealing with the type stuff on a near daily basis. Yes we are cynical. Do all involved parties lie to us? That's a safe bet as it is 1 in a million that actually tells us the whole truth not the flowered up version to make them look good and the other guy look bad. Assault with the car, with a he said she said case....yeah try to prove that one in court...aint never going to happen from a crash. The judge would toss that out like IDPA would dump an open gun! Turn signal and a lane change citation is about the best you are going to prove. Like it or not you opened the window, exchanged words, Some how you get in front then she is in front, then behind you and trying to pass again??? Sounds like your typical game of F^&^ F&&^ in traffic. Luckily you didn't get hurt in the crash or end up in jail. As you said the witness only saw the crash so that is what the guy went on. Sorry but they don't issue us crystal balls so we have to rely on what can be proven. I'm sure she said you were acting like a nut too.

Go with the Glock. We had 2 guys shooting M&P's a 9 and a 40. At about 2500-3500 rounds they started puking and double feeding. Reloads, factory ammo didn't matter. It was sad to watch as I liked the M&P but if it isn't 100% ????

Dave, Yes that is exactly what I meant. I've shot a couple matches over the yast 10 years. Generally every weekend for about 9 lmonths out of the year and Rarely see where there is a problem with the stages being abused. Will I take advantage of a poorly designed course, damn skippy! Will this unneeded rule see much use?? Depends on the match, RM and club. I have some serious concerns when a guy like Troy, who teaches NROI thinks it is covered by other rules and not needed. I would like to see more time spent getting the rules right rather than rushing to meet some artificial deadline. We have rules in place, lots of matches held under those rules so if we have to use them a few more months or a year to get things right where is the problem??? Let's take a look at the prior rush to get things done and the problems with issues that have come up? Anyone remember production? What is external? What is ok? Do we really want to go through that mess again. Slow down and do it right the first time and we won't need opinions on buried bomars and Vanek trigger pins being moved and which is external and ok and which is external and welcome to open! I would like to see more input from the members on the rules rather than what the 8 wisemen deem we need. I'm sure they have good intentions but some things just aren't a major issue and are covered under the other rules or are easily fixed by proper course design.

Charles, As you state the members don't want this rule and since the BOD is to represent the members....why is this still an issue.

The gags are the same. I ran a LDA in Production years ago and in IDPA and carried it CCW, NEVER had a problem with the mags. Unless you are using some really funky relaod technique i don't see how the hell you could even knock the basepad off.

I would like to see the whole preamble wiped out. I really don't care who designed the stage, I think we all know what match we're shooting, really could care less what the RO's name is unless we start getting playboy bunny RO teams, the rules are the same, and there is a banner for the stage sponsor. Same crap for shooter meetings....welcome to....the weather is.... there are some 180 issues....now a word from my buddy that wants your vote....and don't forget to support our sponsors and vendors..... How about Round count is...Number of paper Number of steel, start position, comstock or virgin count, stage procedure...you have 5 minutes.

Brian, Yeah Nationals a couple years ago. You checked my mag and it was fine there. That's the part that is driving me nuts!

The real part that sucks is all 3 of my bigs sticks hold 29! 2 made the guage and the other one didn't??? Sure as hell does now though. Still haven't figured that out yet as they have been checked at a bunch of matches prior. Oh well could have been worse, it could have rained, oh wait it did. At least I got to finish shooting the match......for fun.

Ok next time I'll just super glue it to the app. Seriously we end up collecting the apps for the match and sending them in together stapling the chack and app makes sure they don't get lost prior to gathering them all up and sending.

We have argued the point many times and many ways. I give up. Lets make a division for everybody and we can all compete against ourself. Match fees can go up 300 bucks so we all get a nice prize too! UnFingbelieveable!

Now don't bring up that the sport was designed to find the best equipment. Last time I said that Flex wanted to change DVC to DVCA for appratus. I believe we should adopt the hanguns with disability act so that every shooter and every gun has a fair and even place to shoot, competition be damned. Please return to beating the horse.....

TRYAN, Not to bust your balls but you might want to actually join USPSA before writing the BOD??? There are more benefits than just a classifier.
