Yeah, practice seems like a odd concept. I always thought that was what matches were for? go figure. Might even have to go for the M card.

Nothing better than taking your kids shooting or hunting. My daughter went this year for the first time. Saw lots of deer but she didn't get a shot. First time I came home empty handed but wouldn't have traded it for the world.

Yeah unfortunately they are going to chain my butt to a desk. If it wasn't for the wife and kids needing some type of a normal life I'd have stayed a Cpl. At least then I could slide out and go hunting.

Monday I got the call for Sgt. Lucked out and got to stay close to home. 20 miles to work instead of 10 but now I get most weekends off. No more trying to work out the schedule so I can shoot. Heck I might even start to practice since I'll be mainly 8-4 Mon-Fri. Going from Patrol to Crime work will be a big change but I'm looking forward to the challenge. Only bad thing is now I have to buy some suits. Any tips on how normal people live and sleep at night instead of hunting the bad guys?

Gee it just goes to prove Barrett's comment about controling criminals not guns. They should prosecute the clown but no they'll just pass another stupid law.

I had mine out the day it came. You can crank that puppy up to 11 and if it is bright out you won't see the Ill. The big black circle works just as well. If you are getting it just for 3 gun in normal light I'd save the 185 bucks and get a non ill. one. It had the battery they shipped with it so unless it is an old battery I don't see the fuss. I'll try a new one but I doubt it will change.

Even shooting irons the dot moved opposite what I was used to with tracking the front sight. Had big problems with it in really bright light. Switched back and my scores went back to normal. They worked out the problems with them going TU. Just remember he is TGO so he could win with a paper towel tube mounted on his gun.

Get used to it. I was off to work before she woke up and we passed as I was coming home and she was going in to work. Just glad to see you got a girlfriend, that will slow you down shooting....

How did it go below 1x? It made things farther away? Maybe below the marking but mine doesn't go below 1x.

Skip the Ill. Reticle unless you are shooting in low light. It doesn't work in daylight. Circle dot is perfect for 3 gun. Seeing how a nice 200 yard zero works for 95% of all 3 gun matches the JP reticle is not needed. The bottom of the circle is perfect aiming point for the close in stuff. The Posi-loc mount is the cats ass if they make it high enough to work with the AR platform. Mine is abouit .25" too low for quick mounting. I'm calling today to see if they make it a little higher than mine.

Wow, I'd stick with cheap ammo since it shoots so much better than the match ammo.

Have to give Charlie a thumbs up on the trigger. I broke down and bought a 34 last week. Shipped it directly to Charlie on Thurs. He got it Fri. and shipped it back out on Mon. Fed Ex just dropped it off. WOW! I don't have a trigger pull gauge but it is probably 1.5-1.75 lbs. Great service and turn around time. And before all you plastic lovers (NIK AND FLEX) start, with this trigger job it probably doesn't qualify as a real Glock so I can shoot it without catching crap from you 2!
If you must shoot a Glock then you have to at least get a real trigger job in it from Charlie. It isn't a 2011 but pretty damn good. -
Just give George a call and ask him. If he builds it it will be top quality. Trust me EGW doesn't building anything that won't run 100% and be more accurate than the shooter can shot it.

I can honestly saw that the onlt shooter gift I have ever used was the gun covers.
Take the money and put it into the prize pot. If you win your class you should at least get your match fee back. I've shot several matches and won my class and have received less money than from a winning at a local match....

I had the Wiley's, then the Rudy's now the Oakley's. Rudy's were good but the constant change the lenes took it's toll on them. Oakley gives a hell of an LE discount and they are top notch glasses.

Looks like somebody else wants to come up with a new sport because they can't win in USPSA. I love how every time somebody gets a bug up their ass about something they have to come up with a NEW sport that is supposed to be real life. You want real, march your sorry ass down to the local Marine recruiter. He'll send you off an a reality trip with real guns and real bad guys shooting back at you!
