  1. Trust me the powder capacity is there for 3n37 and 3n38. I ran 3n37 for 2 years before I switched to 3n38 at the end of 03. I've been running 3n38 since. Try a heavier spring. I was running and 11 in mine before I switched to the light RM. I run and OAL of 1.190. Feeds fine in the SVI mags. If you can't get it running then give George Smith a call. I heard lots of guys having trouble with 9's, Mine ran 100% from the start when George built it back in 02.

  2. Try Vit 3n37 or 3n38. Both worked well in my gun when I was running the tribrid barrel. The EGW die will solve the problem with 40 brass. Never saw a problem with 9 glock brass and I've shoot a boatload of it. What OAL are you loading to that the bullets are tipping? Sounds more like a oper error when loading. Spring weight? Have you tried running factory ammo through the gun? Dies? Need to list your whole reloading set up as it is probably more likely the problem than anything else.

  3. Well unless we start having a bunch of Rifle or shotgun only matches then it will be a waste of time and complicate the 3 gun matches. Hell I'm all for more matches but lets face it there are only so many weekends, clubs and help. Not to mention that most matches now whack you a 100 bucks or more. Area 8 lost the MASC and tri state already this year because the host clubs are doing the A8 and summer blast. It MIGHT bring in a couple people but there is a big difference in shooting regular shotgun or hipower and USPSA matches. PA has 1 million people in the woods with guns to go whack a deer, but we sure don't see them at matches. Different sport different mentality.

  4. I don't see where this is worth wasteing the time on. Louie sold out his rifle match and there are a ton of new shooters. It's not like bubba is going to show up with his sporting clays gun and shoot the local monthly match. The pistol stages are very often not able to be shot with a shotgun or rifle so where is this big gain in people? You open a whole new set of problems for 3 gun with everybody being in a different class for each gun then coming up with a winner overall, then each class. Want to change the system great you are classed as one class not this one class lower stuff. If you're a GM in Open you're a GM in everything else.

  5. Classifiers basically mean squat. It is a system that MIGHT show your ability. You want to find out where you stand go shoot a few big matches where the big boys are playing. Those are the scores that mean something. There are lots of paper GM's and M's that go to the big shows and get crushed by lower classed shooters. I say throw the whole system out and shoot head to head. Of course that will never fly in todays world because somebody's ego will get crushed because they didn't win a prize. Most decent shooters can practice a lot for a year and make it up to M maintaining that level of dedication is the hard part. Take a look at last years Nats percentages from Open. Nobody outside the top 10 shot a master class score. You have GM's shooting B class scores. The system is a joke and either needs eliminated or a total overhaul.

  6. I thought the whole idea for production was bring whatcha got as long as it isn't a 1911 and shoot. We're going to go the way of IDPA if we keep screwing with the rules. I can see another splinter sport being formed because some clown whines that this gun has an advantage. Yep folks it is the gun the shooter doesn't really have anything to do with it right? Go back to the 2000 produced and toss the lists.

  7. The biggest difference in IDPA and USPSA is the course design. IDPA is pretty much dope on a rope type where you are told where to go and how to shoot the arrays. USPSA is generally all up to you. Gaming the stage is half the challenge. TJ and Matt both teach breaking down a stage. The thing to remember is there is no best way on a lot of courses. There were several stages at Nats that were shot 5-10 different ways just by the Super squad. They all were within 1 second of each other. It all comes down to what you are good at and the division you are shooting in. Plans for open will be different than limited and way off from prod. Experience is the key.

  8. Just get a different gun built. Sooner or later the one slide won't fit as well. .40 you lose rounds, No problem with the comp(it will shoot as flat as any 9,38, etc.) The JP and Docter are ok at best. There is a difference in sight height but the biggest problem is the goofy tracking of the slide mounted optics.

  9. Well since it is production and if the manufacturer produces it what is the big deal? Seems the big bitch is "it costs X dollars". Get over it. TGO and Sevigny have kicked everybody's butt with a gun that cost 450-600 bucks. It aint the gun boys and girls. Yep we need some more dumbassed rules.

  10. Jake,

You're to young to get married anyway. When I got divorced it was wow. 2 weeks later I met this girl that was 10 times better than the Ex. Been married to her for going on 4 years now, got the twins and couldn't be happier. Shite happens for a reason.

Hey Pat...was her girlfriend hot? :P

  11. Erik,

It is a front focal plane reticle so it is 3 moa at all power. The field of view changes but the dot and circle size is consistent. On 1X it is like shooting an Aimpoint ML. It will cover 3 inches at 100 yards all the time the target size just appears to grow larger as the power increases. Nice thing is the bottom of the circle works great as a aiming point in side 15 yards and corrects the bore height to sight height problem.
