  1. Also Si-So bullets in sweden makes them. But it would be pretty far out to order from scandinavia when not living in europe
  2. Anyone knows if it is possible (read adviceable) to switch from solid pins to roll pins for the disconnector and hammer strut? If not, where can I get solid pins as spares? tnx whizz
  3. Here is a link to a nice "documentary" from SweDen Cup 1, 2007 in Växjö Sweden. Revolver squad only. This was my last revolver match... for a while anyway. I confess, I have fallen into the production swamp . SweDen Cup is a joint venture between Clubs from IPSC Sweden and IPSC Denmark. Running from April to October. All level II matches with good standard on stages. Website here: http://www.swedencup.info/ It is in swedish but you can at least watch the images under "Fotoarkiv". Film in DVD-quality here: http://www.ppc-sweden.com/video/sweden.mpg about 500Mb The film was mostly shot by Ursus who I believe also has done the cutting. Enjoy, Whizz
  4. Are both varieties of the shadow to be approved? Both the european CZ UB Sp01 Shadow and the different US version?
  5. That is also my experience. The N310 gives too little "ooommph" with low charges. To get in the range of 775 to 800 fps I need to use 4.6 grains to a 230 grain FMJ as I said earlier. In my loading table from VV the max charge is 4.5 grains so I´m at the edge here. To reach the IPSC PF for Major with a comfortable margin this is my choice. It works fine in my S&W 625 but might be too hot for other guns. Have also tried the Vectan Ba10 powder which gets me the right speed at a lower charge, 4.3 grains. A bit dirtier but also cheaper. Stay safe and keep on blammin'. Conny
  6. I use for 230 grain FMJ: OAL 32.0 millimeter 4.6 grains VV N310 Crimp 11.9 mm Federal or RWS primers (both works fine) Hope it helps.
  7. Well, I still prefer moonclips...
  8. Looking forward to another nice "battle"at Cops Cup before the next SweDen Cup in Växjö. Then with bullets fully crimped of course. Skype me tomorrow after 20.30, I think I have a solution to the problem. I might turn to plated myself, seems like a 20% saving.
  9. Hi there RogerT, Regarding 200gr through the 625 I have tried HN200gr plated round nose. They shot fine but as you know I prefer 230gr. 200gr tend to feel a bit snappier in recoil than 230 when around 180 PF. The other part of your question, TC-bullets in the 625? I used a lot of 240gr lead TC bullets for practice (cheap bullets and had quite a heap of them). Never felt changing clips was troublesome with them but nothing compares to RN FMJ if you ask me... CU tomorrow at SweDen Cup 2! DVC, Conny
  10. I´m a CONVERT, yes yes I confess...
  11. Another southpaw reporting in... My reload technique is the same as COFs except I use my right thumb to push the cylinder out. This places the thumb where I want it, to be able to let the fingertips push the extractor rod as my left hand reaches for the new clip. Conny
  12. I second D.carden on that Full PF loads is the only way to go even through practice.
  13. 1. It is fun and pretty challenging as most matches are built for flatgunning. 2. Wheelgunners are mostly very humble and laid back in comparison. In other words: I like the people shooting wheelguns. 3. And as spook said, revos look cool.
  14. I use my own for IPSC... see post here: Home made moonclip holders
  15. Reducing the OAL will rise the pressure and thus also increase the burning of powder.
  16. I also have pretty small hands. To achieve what you describe I just took the Houges off and with a knife and grinder shaped the grip into what suited me. Works well for me. The Hogues are also priced very low and it is not that costly to make a mistake.
  17. I do not use any particular tool to load my clips either... maybe some european habit
  18. Glad to hear that you are going towards revo... even though I probably will get my "*ss whipped" next year I have been thinking of getting my trigger setup a Ti-Nitride coating as it is said to make the trigger pull as smooth as it possibly can be. Maybe the chromium (if it is hard chrome) has a similar effect?!
  19. Isn´t a demooner a solution to a non existing problem?
  20. Thanks Hopalong, Next serious match for me is due october 10th. Will definately be better prepared then
  21. Back from today´s match :-) and a bit :-( I won my division hehehe... First I am happy as I did not finish last at any stage if I compare my hit factor with the flatgunners. Out of 37 shooters I placed: St1 29, St2 35, St3 16 :-), St4 23, St5 21, St6 36, St7 33 But sure mad at myself as I had 6 miss and 2 PT. My goal was to have no such, arrrggghhh... sh_t. Being a revo newbie, at a couple of long stages I was totally lost when I had, unplanned :-), misses at a popper and a 8 shot "windmill". My planning was straight into the drain after that. Sure had fun and learned a lot, which I will benefit from at the next match.
  22. Thanks guys for the advice, I sure will have a good time. Spook, I do compete against the flatgunners and I will do my best to beat some of them
  23. I am the only revo shooter amongst 50 participants and it is also my first real IPSC competition shooting revolver, hope I can keep my nerves under control Any suggestions how to approach long courses with the wheelgun? Whizz
  24. Sorry, my slip... Gun loaded, round in chamber, safety on and holstered. Whizz
