    Sig 1911-22

I use Lubriplate (sp) on all my Sig's. It can be bought anywhere and it works great. Sig typically sends them greased up but it is always best strip it down and make sure it has been done adequately. Most Sig's will start showing the "smiley" faces after some rounds down the tube.

We should start a new thread that is just about engravings. I am sure there are a lot out there for us to share and see.

That is a sweet engraving! I love how these look.

    What would you get?

    I love a 226 Elite, nothing like a good beavertail on a 226.
  5. Kind of what others said. Change ammo, check the lips of the mag, make sure the mag is fully inserted into magwell, try it with a partially full mag. Never had to change the mag spring but not to say it wouldn't help.
  6. True, but you and Benny offer 24"....right?
  7. When I eventually get my 3G I will use it for sporting clays. It won't hold me back to do other types of shooting with it.

Yes I have found that myself. It is amazing how you go to a major gun shop and no one seems to understand what you are asking about. Fun you mentioned blue-several told me yeah it's blue, meaning blueing. Oh well, prep work prior is important. Enjoy your new shotgun, I am jealous. I can not stress how stupid people can be. I called shops before I'd go check out shotguns, and several said they had the Sporting Clays Model...WRONG. Bring your smart phone or what ever so you can show them what you want. The Blue 400's, well to most guys it is either camo or blued, and you ask about the anodized blue receiver and they're like "sure, it's blue". Check the tags, do what ever you have to do. You will pick up a field model and they are totally different in feel etc., vs the clays model. good luck, wg

Congrats on the new 391, at least one of has made a purchase:)
  10. Do you have Bruce Gray working on your extractor issues?
  11. Topgun is the best and has the fastest shipping of in stock items. Great customer service.
  12. Awesome pistol, love it. I have BWTAC and a custom Navy but an SS model is bad ass. Enjoy it.
  13. I wish they offered that model in the 24" as well? Website shows only 21".
  14. Yeah I have been leaning strongly towards the 24" so I can use it for more than 3 gun.
  15. Cool test with interesting results. Now can you test velocity vs barrel length? Thanks for running the test.
  16. Just an FYI. They have speed up their time frames to get the jobs done. Most jobs are pretty quick right now. I think I read on SIg Forum they can get them done in as little as a week to 3 weeks.
  17. Too funny, but true. I never show my wife what is in the safe. She asks all the time but I won't give her the combo:)
  18. Exactly what he said. Bruce does great work.
  19. That is a nice set up. It looked like you barely had any barrel rise on your shots. Thanks Using a Noveske Rogue Hunter.
  20. With your new budget it seems you have a lot of options with room to get extra equipment to run or train with. I have seen some good deals lately on M2's. Can't find a VM tact to save my life, just want to see it in person and the price seems pretty good. Have you narrowed it down at all?
  21. I like your thinking in regards to the 3 gun- 21' vs all others. Just my 2 cents but if I read this right it depends on each individual shooter.

@leftnose, Thanks for sharing. Lots of good info for someone just getting into clays of any kind. There is so many options and info to consider when starting this sport. So again, I appreciate all the input and your opinion.

@leftnose- thanks for all your info, I appreciate it. You have narrowed it down for me. One more question though about the Benelli, compare the SS to the Sport2- does the Sport2 weigh more and handle better? The dealer also mentioned the Legacy and Cordoba, but it they use the same mechanism, balance and weight seem to be the only variants. Many have mentioned the Benelli's don't handle light loads- common with all of them? Thanks,
  24. Awesome M2, I like Mike's work. What rifle set up are you using? Thanks,

Thanks for the replies. I don't have a 391, just saw 2 for sale under $900 so I figured it was a good deal, but at the same time I saw these new and they caught my eye. I wish some place had the Remmy 1100 Comp, Benelli SS and this for a side by side, can't decide on any of them. The good news is the Beretta is available right now.
