  1. Does anyone have experience with this model? How does it compare to the 391's? I found both today for what I thought were good prices. I am still searching for a great all round clay and sporting clay semi. Thanks http://www.berettausa.com/products/beretta-a400-xcel-sporting-12-ga-3-ko/
  2. I have 2 Factory SRT's. They perform well but my Graygun action job is way better. If you follow the guys on Sig Forum you will see that the SRT changes or alters the safety mechanism some how. The Graygun package doesn't change it. You can buy SRT parts if your willing to look but if you want a great DA/SA I would invest with GG.

Thanks for the replies, I appreciate the insight. Well I guess my list will include 3 pistols now instead of 2. When will it stop??!!

Are these popular models for comp shooting? Are they liked as much as Glock, STI or Sig? Any reason not to shot them in comp? I have wanted one for a long time but haven't purchased yet. My carry gun is a Glock and I target shoot with a Sig 226. Anyway, thanks.
  5. I looked at one of these and really like it. I used to have an XO model, it was a great shooter. Sig has made some good improvements with their 1911's.
  6. My thoughts are like yours plus or minus a few buck. I have pretty much ruled out the SLP only because after handling it and operating it I wasn't 100% comfortable with it. Tried an M2 and like the feel and fit so this will be the route I will take. I have be waiting for the Benelli factory 3 gun set up, like it just not the extension tube past the barrel and the steep price tag- I think it is a fare price for what has been done just a harder hit at the time of purchase is all I am saying. As was stated by another I will get an M2 and shoot it for a while and then decide what I need, like and who to go to. I have had a great talk with AI and their work so that will probably be the route I take. Good luck with your decision and keep us posted.
  7. Just my two cents, but if you are already thinking of getting rid of it and or having to spend on mod's( you will still probably do mod's on an MK1 as well) might as well sell now, again my opinions-which are like a-holes, everyone has one. Will the 18" work just fine? Yes it will but if you are not 100% with it I would look at alternatives. I am only speaking cause I have made some mistakes and wished I had just off loaded it sooner and bought exactly what I wanted. Either way it will involve you spending more money and loosing money. Good luck!
  8. Thanks for the advice. I am afraid I am already caught up in the semi vs O/U. Can't seem to make a decision on it. I have 3 shotguns I really like, well maybe 4, just can't decide. Franchi O/U Instinct, Benelli Super Sport, Remington 1100 Comp and Benelli M2 in 28". I gather that most folks who shoot clays have multiple guns and vary the use based on what they are doing that day. Hard to find places that offer these up for shooting but I will keep on plugging away at it.
  9. Thanks for the info. I am new to clays of any kind. Right now just shooting Trap but I want to get into sporting clays as well. I had a cheap O/U that I ended up hating and not doing well with. Then decide to use my semi, probably the only one at the club shooting a $300 semi but it's what I have. The rounds improved but I need more practice. So I am always looking for input on shotguns. The Super Sport I felt would be ideal as I shot the semi's better but I see everyone else using O/U's of some variation. That makes me think I should use an O/U instead of semi. Anyways I have been looking at the Browning Citori and Cynergy models and Franci's new SL model.
  10. That was quick!! Nice grab who ever got it.
  11. The 11026 21" Field model is still on Benelli's website... My bad, I was looking at the American without paying close attention.
  12. This is on my list to buy. I have tired a bunch of others and like them but the Super Sport felt really good and so I must have.
  13. If you look on Benelli's website they have taken the M2 21" option off- my bad not true, was looking at the American, only the 3 gun is available.
