  1. I shoot a G22 in LTD. I like the things most people hate on a Glock: * Hi Viz front sight, Glock adjustable rear, * Stock striker spring, * polished 5 lbs connector, * kydex holster. I also use a tungston guide rod underneath a 13 lbs ISMI spring with 2 coils cut off. Arredondo basepads, Glock followers and ISMI springs.
  2. Thanks for posting Dale! I'll need to try a kit. Cy
  3. Hi, There are some existing threads with lots of discussion on this topic. Do a search and you'll find tons of info. I like the 22, but most like the 35. Good luck.
  4. +1 I don't have a Nova, but I've owned 870s and 1300s. YMMV, but I like the 1300 the best. The safety position in not ideal however.
  5. Which variable did you get? How does it look? How easy is it to change powers? Etc. RS, I haven't shot the scope yet, but I'll post after I do.
  6. How's the height of the Armilite for you?
  7. Thanks Zak. Any opinion on the Armalite mount? Thanks.
  8. I just bought a lower power variable scope and now I'm looking for a recommendation for a quick detach scope mount for a flat top AR, 1" scope. Thanks.

    NBA Brawl

The NBA is just a thug-fest. Let 'em all go get real jobs they're qualified for - like working at a car wash. Very few sports have civility and sportmanship anymore. IPSC/USPSA seems to be one of them.
  10. I looked through a Pentax Zero-X/V SG in 1-4x today at a local sporting goods store. It seemed bright with good glass and, on 1x I didn't get any shadowing around the edges regardless of the eye relief. Has anyone used one?
  11. Thanks RS. I thought the Weaver as a true 1x.
  12. I was looking at Bear1142's Weaver 1-3x scope on his AR yesterday at our 3 gun match. I really like the true 1x and the ability to turn up the magnification when needed. What are other choices/opinions for a true 1x vaiable scope? Leupold also makes the VX-II 1-4x20mm. I know Benny Hill likes the Simmons 1-4x 20mm shotgun scope, but I can't find that model anywhere. I think Simmons discontinued it. Thanks.
  13. The article in Front Sight states that Dale's trigger needs to be "adjusted" after a period of use. I'm not sure what that means, but it does kind of negate the "drop in" nature of the kit.
  14. I've noticed an inverse relationship between my splits and transitions. The faster my splits, the slower my transitions, and vice versa.
  15. Well said. The thing about EVERY IPSC shooter is that he/she has the guts to go lay it on the line in a public forum where each person is graded by an objective standard. As a result, the shooter improves his skills and, very likely, his mental/emotional fortitude. Many "shooters," tactical guys, and many LE (no offense to the many superb LE IPSC shooters), simply don't have the guts to get graded and get their butts kicked. This sport is like all others: play above your head with people who are better than you and you WILL improve your skills. Everyone gets their ass kicked from time to time - the important thing is how you react to that experience. Do you quit or stop competing after getting smashed? The IPSC shooter simply learns from the experience and moves on to improve his skills - and then comes back for more at the next match!
  16. Very easy. The instructions show you how.
  17. I assume you're shooting LTD or Tactical. If so, you're good to go - just try loads to make sure your SG likes them. Mine doesn't like the cheap Wallmart stuff, but will shoot AA's all day.
  18. New production or pre-ban surplus? Eric, I think D&D - the maker of Thermolds - is out of business. So it must be pre-ban.
  19. I bought some tec loaders 3 weeks ago from Brownells and they don't have the relief cut
  20. Gotta make up your own mind. I like a FO in red. YMMV!
  21. Is that guy selling anymore of the Thermold 30/45? Thanks.
  22. Flex - I shoot a G22 so I need it slightly hotter than a G35. Cy, Your load is using a LOT more powder than in any other Glock I have seen. No doubt it is perfect in your gun, I just wanted to get the info out there for any new reloaders that might be looking to steal a recipe, instead of properly working up a load. Good point. I can make major with about 4.3 grains or so, but I like the feel better with 4.7.
  23. What about the Thermold extendible mag (I forget the name)? Any good?
