  1. I shot 250+ of my reloads today with WSP and had 100% ignition. This is my first DA/SA pistol and all steel gun ever. I always shot Glocks in Limited and Prod. The SP-01's DA pull is slick and the reset is plenty short (no short stroking). I was fortunate to find a CGW'ize SP-01 that was well done. It will take some more time for me to get used to the DA/SA, but it wasn't as big of a change as I had imagined. I'm not driving the heavy CZ the way I'm use to with the light Glock, but that will come. I have some more CZ newbie questions: Recoil Spring: Even though the pistol has all the CGW internals, it had the stock recoil spring and is WAY over-sprung (nose diving). What weight spring do you guys use for Minor loads? Thin Safety: Is it Prod legal to install the thin safeties from CGW https://cajungunworks.com/product/11224-shadow-thin-safety-set/ Thanks again.
  2. I just picked up a used SP-01 with all the CGW internal goodies, including the extended firing pin. It came with the CGW black hammer 11.5# spring installed and a spare blue 13# spring. The double and single action pulls are light and smooth. The previous owner said had never had misfires and shot ATL Arms reloads. Will the 11.5# + the extended fire pin reliably ignite Winchester primers? I'm taking it to the range this weekend and honestly don't want to change the hammer spring at the range. Thanks for your thoughts.
  3. Thanks - it doesn't seem like a big difference to me.
  4. What is the difference in the reset length between a stock Shadow and a 75 SP-01 with a short reset kit installed? I realize the Shadow has no FPB and will have a shorter reset, but how big is the difference if the SP-01 has a short reset installed? I handled a new SP-01 Shadow the other day and was not particularity impressed with the reset. I also tried a non-SP-01 Shadow that had a nice reset. Go figure . . . Thanks.
  5. Thanks. Any other thoughts on a fair trade value of the SP-01 package?
  6. He's looking for trades only. I have a 3rd Gen G19 for trade (trade value around $450) plus either some cash or possibly another gun with trade value around $500 or so. So where would you estimate the trade value of the SP-01 package? Thx.
  7. I'll ask the seller, but I'm almost positive he got the "Defensive Carry Package." https://cajungunworks.com/product/75-series-defensive-carry-package-338-00/
  8. I'm thinking about trading for a locally owed CZ 75 SP-01 with CGW upgrades. I'm looking for help in determining the trade value, as I'm not a CZ expert. I don't know the owner personally, but he has excellent feedback on the local gun forum for private sales. He is not a competitive shooter. I will be able to inspect it, but I don't think there's an opportunity to shoot it before I trade for it. Here's his ad: 2014 CZ SP-01 with the following upgrades: (4)- 18 round CZ Mags LPA adjustable rear sight Hi-Viz fiber optic front sight Box & Docs CompTac IWB Holster (don't care) Blackpoint Tactical OD Green holster (don't care) Cajun Gun Works installed parts: CGW Short Reset Kit- Disconnector, Springs, Pins Extended Firing Pin CGW Lifter w/Spring CGW Trigger Return Spring HS-13 Hammer Spring 11LB Recoil Spring Action Professionally Polished He says he has approx $1,000 into it. Thanks for your help and any advice. Pic below.
  9. Is this still the case even though Glock basically offers the same thing on the gen 4s?
  10. Thanks. What type of rest could I expect?
  11. I've read the posts on SP and PRP products. I also have an older XD - actually a HS2000 - that Rich at CC did an amazing full-house trigger job on. I now am interested in only shortening the reset on an XDM 3.8 carry gun. I don't want to change the trigger other than the reset and don't want to ship it off. With that in mind, what are my best options? The PRP easy fit kit? http://shop.powderriverprecision.net/product.sc?productId=37&categoryId=3 Thanks.
  12. I've had my DPMS 308 for a few years now and don't shoot it much. It has the 24" ss bull barrel and weighs about 50 pounds I plan to possibly use it for deer and pigs, but also want to be able to use it for HM if I get a wild hair. I want it cut to 20", threaded concentric with the bore so I possibly use it with a can, and lightened up as much as possible. Any recomendations on who to use for that work? Thx.

    SIRT pistol

BTT for any updates. Who bought one and what's the verdict?
  14. Great looking Dane MS! Is the color "merlequin"?
  15. Yep - mine works nicely too - I just don't shoot it much so thinking about selling it.
  16. I have a now-discontinued CZ V22 .22 Ar upper. It has 3-ten rounds mags and 2-hi cap mags. Excellent condition. What's the approx value? Thx.
  17. Late to the party - but happy BDay Carlos.
  18. I recently picked this smaller Bushnell red dot - on sale at Cabelas: Busnell I like it. 3 moa dot though.
  19. I went to a dentist several years ago. She told me that I had cavities in two different molars - one on the lower right side and one on the lower left. They could only fix one cavity at a time. For the first one, it took over an hour to fill the cavity and it hurt like hell. I got scared and didn't go back to have the second one filled. Two years later I go to another dentist - I guy I know personally. Guess what - I had no cavity in the second molar The first dentist was full of sh*t and drumming up business I call the office of the first dentist to give them a piece of my mind. The receptionist tells me that she moved on and she doesn't know where she is . . .
  20. I just put FF handguards on my piston SBR. This is a DD 9.5 fsp that fits around gas block. Very light and I really like it. Still not my first or second choice for 3 gun though. I am impressed with the AA kit though. Very clean and smooth.
  21. Looking at the prices of the new stocks gets me on my soapbox. I love my old M1, but parts - from stocks to barrels - just seem WAY more expensive then they should be . . .
  22. Yes - I've read a good report on it from a LEO. It's niche is a comp that also [somewhat] contains flash and is not too loud - like the PWS FCS and similar muzzle attachments. For 3 gun, a real comp is the ticket - like the SJC-Lund or Benny Hill's Rolling Thunder - both of which are designed and sold by forum members. The Battle Comp seems way too expensive at $149
