I quit dipping snuff after 30 years on Jan1st and it was a train wreck. One of the toughest mental challenges ever. I have had a couple slip ups but I feel better. The first 3 weeks were the hardest. Had the midnight rages and all.....But it is all mental. I told myself not to dip and I sat a can on the dresser and never touched it....Congrats...And just say no.....

I am shooting a CZ TS and found that I have all kinds of problems when I don't clean. It is almost impossible to try to clean between stages so I try to keep enough mags loaded that If one drops into some dirt/sand it goes back in the bag and a fresh one replaces it until I get home. I take a shotgun swab and spray a light coat of Remoil on it and run it through the mags every Friday night before the weekend matches. Seems to be working well.

Injured reserve....Thats not good. Well I finally got everything going again on my pistol. Here is how it ended up.....CTS 40 13lbs Recoil Spring FACTORY extractor spring Main spring that comes on it. The mag drop was killing me too....I had to do some heavy filing to open up the bottom of the mag well....I also had one mag that would swell .010 of an inch when loaded. I smacked it once with a hammer and it was all good. Now they all drop easy and had no problems sat....Did well for 5 weeks at it....Had no gun issues was my main thing....You can ask redbird....Two weeks ago it all went wrong....

I am not as worried about cleaning now. Of course I was changing out part for the last few weeks to get everything dialed in so I was already there so I cleaned em up.

I almost messed up and got the "long" extensiond from CZC. I was getting 24 for sure. One day I actually took a measuring tape to it and opps.....I was over 140mm. I have since ordered the shorted ones....They should be in today. I have grams in there as well. I hope to get 23....

Hope to play with it some more this weekend. I just bought it to play with, not compete. I shoot limited and have 2 opens. But If CZ discontinues the Czech then I want to make sure I have one.

Sorry about that. TS is Tactical Sport and CTS is the custom version from CZCustom. The CTS starts as a TS then they cut, sand and rebuild to make custom. Well worth the extra. Good set up.

I went and took some training and I was doing the same thing after moving from 75 to ts. Mine was the ratio of pressure between my hands. I was at 50%-50% instead of 60/40.

I know I tried Atlanta Arms & Ammo through my 40 this last weekend and it took a lot of the snap out and it turned into quicker splits and back on target fast. Good ammo. Eliminate any malfunctions. Make sure everything is clean and ready to go. Dryfire/Dryfire/Dryfire

I guess I will throw my input in since I am running a CTS from CZC. I love the gun. Had an extremely rough time with it last weekend found out that most of the problems I was having were my own fault. If you get the CTS I HIGHLY recommend the Gram Springs and Follower. - I was doing nothing but jamming at the ends of the mags till I installed for this weekend. I would also recommend a heavy extractor spring. - I was getting a lot of double feeds and this took care of it. I also would recommend to use nothing but Atlanta Arms & Ammo or hand loads out of it - My splits were 10x better with the Atlanta.

I would have to agree with everyone and say that the BGSL is a great match. I shot my first 3Gun there and they were super helpful and we had a blast!!!....I have shot several matches since but plan to make the drive back up to the next one!
