Its not a sp901 platform because it is not manufactured by Colt. A few posts back it is explained. The name is just licensed. I am interested to know how it shoots, it looks like it packs a punch and comes off target a lot while firing. With adjustable gas already it looks like a good start, I thinking with a better brake it could be a great rifle. But it does look heavy. Just my opinion, George

Their is a frame slot filler made by TJ's custom sold by Brownells http://www.brownells.com/handgun-parts/frame-parts/frame-hardware/fillers/tj-s-1911-series-80-to-series-70-conversion-shims-prod13121.aspx I have two Colts, a 70 and 80. Both have good triggers, in my opinion the safety levers do not make a noticable difference in performance. But if I had a choice I would buy a 70 series gun.

I have a Safariland plastic 2 shell holder held on by velcro strips from home depot. Another option for those who dont like the elastic George

I have a old Leatherman Wave that has been in my range bag for years, but I am thinking of upgrading to the MUT for some heavier wire cutters. The Wave is a bit chewed up from cutting springs, replacable bits would be a great upgrade for me. I think you guys convinced me. George

I have noticed this in both the MTAC and Tac30, which turned me off to those choices. I have looked through a few and all have been the same. But the XTR does not seem to have the fish eye effect. George

Just grabbed another M&P on friday, went to order another Costa ext mag release and cant find them anywhere. Including Costa's website, it isnt even listed as a product. Anyone know what happened to them? George

I run Comp Tac with no issue, adjustable cant so you can run them in any division and any position on your belt. $30 ea with tek loks.

I would be nice if thoe back straps were a hard plastic. Iwill be nice if S&W will sell just the slide for those who already have a pro
