  1. I struggled with this as well, make it an effort to see your sights before you press the trigger.
  2. JM 930 is gonna be your best 3 gun SG if you are on a budget. I went with the Benelli M2 American( because the JM wasn't around then) , all Nordic access. and C Rums lifter for around $1k. Good luck
  3. FM, the tulas have hard primers and most likely your firing pin spring is too light.Might want to try a different FP spring.Federal primers are usually softer, Good luck Also what Fd are you with?I work for a dept in Central,FL.
  4. I agree that the titan is one of the better comps. The JM for the money is a real good option. I was using a JP comp mostly(and really liked it) , and have recently switched to a seekins. I would say the only difference in the two aforementioned comps was that the seekins is less concussive. They all get the job done ,and are huge improvement over a A2 birdcage. good luck
  5. Thanks Chef J, I am open to using WST.What Oal are you using with this load?
  6. Anybody use these with TG . I have been using 180's for Uspsa and they are awesome. I was thinking about going with the 140's to shoot minor in 3 gun.
  7. You chronoed 3.9 grains of Titegroup, MG 180 jhp, with an OAL of 1.180" and came up with 155pf? Unless you have a really fast barrel, or your chrono is wrong, that sounds high. Are you sure you didn't chrono the 1.125 OAL load instead? That would make sense to me. I have an SVI 2011 5", it was a surprise to me as well. The 10 shot group avg 883 FPS. I do not use 1.125 OAL in my gun,it does not function well in my gun. The load I used was 3.9 gr at 1.180 OAL. I was expecting it to be lower than 159 PF. I was using a pro-shooters chrono. He has had no issues with the chrono, but I am also in S. FL and it was about 90 degrees out. Thanks for your reply. Correction I used Bayou 180 gr TC, not MG JHP. I ran out of the MG's ,but was using the same load and oal.
  8. I have tried using oal at 1.125 and it will not work in my 2011. So mainly looking for 1.180 oal loads. I chrono'd 3.9 grains TG @ 1.180 using Bayous 180gr TC and it was 159 PF. Going to try going lower and try some lighter springs. After using up TG im going to try Clays for minor. I used Bayous 180 gr TC,not MG JHP
  9. Thank you guys for the info, I appreciate it. What kind/pound of recoil springs are you guys using . I currently am using 12.5# with a shock buffer. Thanks JP
  10. Thanks Brian Haha yeah I want to try out clays but have 8# of TG I have to use up first.
  11. Hey guys I have been searching for a .40 minor load using MG 180 grn JHP @1.18 OAL gun 5" SVI with a Schuemman classic barrel. This will be used for 3 gun mainly. Thanks for any input. I have used the search button for two days now ,haha
  12. Mine does the same thing , I just pull or push the bolt forward. It happens on occasion while I practice loading the shotgun. The problem has never happened during a match, thankfully. Edit: This is not happening every shot. Only 1 or 2 times per 100 rds.
  13. Im going through the same process , you only need the powder funnel. It uses the same shell plate and locator pins #3. Goof luck Spelling
  14. Julien, I took the advice from MarkCO and purchased a MTAC 1-4x . I am very pleased with the scope . I recommend getting a solid mount (warne, JP, Larue ) .
  15. This was my first time shooting the ProAm. It was a well ran match , and the RO's on the AM side were all professional. The stages were a lot of fun. Noticed their was no room for any mistake , haha. I am thankful to all that helped with the match. I hope I am able to get into the match next year. I have only been shooting 3 gun for 6 months , and was lucky enough to place in the top 40 on the AM side. The cave match was one of the coolest things I have done shooting . Linda my condolences to you and your family.
  16. Yes okeechobee has SOF 3G matches, and I shoot at Port Malabar which has uspsa 3G. Both are fun, but I prefer uspsa than SOF. Most of the guys that shoot at okeechobee are from wpb area as well. Good luck
  17. Hello Archer , like Mark said the 930 turkey will cost you about what it takes to buy a 930 JM IIRC the turkey model is ported and unless you want to shoot Open , you will have to have your barrel cut. I have a buddy that went the same route , because he couldn't find a JM. Only advice is to get a +5 so you can run 8+1 shells. Good luck
  18. I also went from Remington to a M2.Because I was able to shoot the American side by side with a 24" M2 with comforttech. I honestly didn't feel the little bit of added recoil was worth the $400 for the comfortech stock. What did guys do went they shot a M1?I started with a M2 tactical that I paid $1200 (doesn't have comfortech stock). Figured out quick it wasn't the best gun for 3 gun. I now have a M2 American and it runs on the cheap walmart stuff. The total cost of adding the mods that are needed (welded lifter, extension, etc) cost around a $1k. Although the VM tactical seems like the way to go as far as out of the box . Good luck Jp
  19. Thanks Jonathan, it looks interesting.
  20. Does anybody know of a way of putting an adjustable rear sight for a shadow without milling the slide? I saw that cz has adjustable rear sight but it's for TS.
  21. Or just a thought , get a Nordic 18" competition barrel(.223 wylde),rifle length gas, a FFT, and a CMC trigger . Oh and get a good compensator ( many to choose from). Good luck JP
  22. Or you could buy a cz sp01 shadow have eerw do a trigger job, get a burris Mtac, and a JP or LaRue lt104 mount, and still have money left for ammo. I have had several Glock 34's, then went with m& P pro, and found the cz's on accident. The Cz for me is more accurate. Good luck, JP
